Meow Wolf in Grapevine was SO much fun! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I had a blast exploring all of the different rooms and interactive exhibits. There's so much to see, and I spent about two hours walking around, taking pictures, and discovering all the little details. It's definitely one of those places where you'll want to take your time because there's always something new to look at. One tip: wear comfortable clothing or athletic gear! There is quite a bit of bending, climbing, and moving around as you explore, so you'll want to be dressed for it. They also have a cute gift shop, mocktail bar, and café, so you can grab a drink or bite before or after exploring. If you're in the Grapevine area or visiting Grapevine Mills, definitely add Meow Wolf to your list! It's fun, unique, super photogenic, and a great experience whether you're going with friends or exploring on your own. read more

Very interesting! We went here while on vacation and took the kids. It was a fun way to spend two hours exploring the non-scary haunted house. There are doors that lead to mysterious passageways, all kinds of colorful artwork, and interesting Alice in Wonderland style settings. Parking was easy. I thought the price was reasonable, given the fact that it provided about two hours of entertainment. My two complaints are that I would've preferred they not dabble in politics and I also found the story hard to follow. You are supposed to solve this mystery, and I was not able to make heads or tails of it. Perhaps that would've been easier with the app. read more

Once again, Meow Wolf made an incredible spot to visit. This was my third Meow Wolf experience center (also visited Denver and Las Vegas) and I still think they are a 10/10. The creativity and imagination are SO GOOD and we love how helpful the staff are. This is perfect for those looking to explore, someone who loves a hidden room or a mystery book. The experience combines a ghost story, artwork, music, exploration and so much more. My family and I decided to visit Meow Wolf when in the area. We bought our tickets online in advance. We parked and walked in. This experience was labeled as The Real Unreal. After waiting in line at the check-in and going through a metal detector we were directed to a waiting room where a friendly employee explained that there was a mysterious story that you could try to figure out or you could just explore. Then they led us into the room to start exploring at our own pace. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a really cool experience and full of creatively fun art. I am quite sure you will have a five-star experience if you have not already been to the Santa Fe flagship one. But, if you have, this is like Weezer covering Africa. Totally underwhelming, unnecessary, and nothing new. Still, we spent 90 minutes, and, to be fair, we wondered if Meow Wolf is like heroin, and fans try to get that "first hit" feeling that will never come. It's spring break and I told my granddaughter I would take her somewhere special - I chose Meow Wolf. I was a little nervous bringing here to this place, but she REALLY enjoyed it. We didn't do the scavenger hunt, and we basically went through it on our own, but the story is about a boy and his dreams. I genuinely love this place so much I ended up getting the Portal Pass because one visit was NOT enough lol. Every single time I come back I notice something new that I completely missed before. I love that you can go at your own pace. You can solve the story, look for all the little details, or just walk around and admire everything. It's so creative and there's always something to look at. It's also one of those places that makes you forget about everything for a while. Once you're inside, you get so caught up exploring that you kinda forget about the outside world, and I love that. I've been more than once and somehow I still don't get bored. It honestly feels like a different experience every time. If you're thinking about going, DO IT. It's such a fun place, whether you're going with friends, family, or even by yourself. The only bad part? Eventually you have to leave... and go back to reality. Definitely one of my favorite places to go in DFW. I call it my happy place I seriously can't wait to visit the other Meow Wolf locations too. Absolutely amazing experience. I was nervous going in, not sure what to expect. The workers were amazing and kind, explaining everything and shepherding us through. The actual experience was insane, I was going through secret passages, seeing insane other worlds, and crawling through Coraline's tube. We got a drink at the bar, it was delicious! I got a coke and asked for cherries in my soda, and they loaded it up! Great bartenders and very nice. The place is AMAZING. if you're on the fence, just go. Just do it. Love this place!! It's an art exhibit with a storyline. There are things to explore, see, hear, touch, trade and even smell hidden everywhere! To me, it's kind of nod to Stranger Things. You go in, it's a house but it's not a house if you explore further. start opening up doorways, cupboards, drawers, refrigerators and washing machines! Storyline - a boy and his mom move in with his Auntie. Boy disappears. Nuff said. Go see for yourself, prepare to spend around 2 &1/2 - 3 hours exploring. Do not skip opening up doors or going into closets! At first we thought maybe the doors were just for staff or were exits but we were very wrong! I figured since we were nearby it was a great time for my partner to get to check out a Meow Wolf location. I'd been to the one in Vegas and didn't know what to expect here. This was the 3rd Meow Wolf installment I've been to, along with Santa Fe and Vegas. Just as cool as the others. Had a good time exploring and checking out how unreal the real unreal is. Lots of interactive pieces and videos to watch if you want to solve the puzzle, but also fun to just explore. I also added on a cocktail, I believe it was a spicy margarita and it was delicious, bartenders were super nice and made the drink quickly. Definitely and trippy experience. If you have been to any Meow Wolf production you already know and if you haven't you need to go. I have been to the Vegas one before and this one was different but still connected. I was in town for a conference and the group of coworkers I was with wanted to attend so I tagged along. They offer and veteran/military discount so be sure to take advantage if you are eligible. The experience is interactive and immersive. You have a storyline to flow for a missing kid. As you explore the exhibit you get various clues to learn the full story. Very interesting indeed. We stayed about two hours before we got the story down. They have employees stationed throughout that will give you hints and various missions to complete. You can stay inside as long as you like. They have a bar in the lobby area and a second one hidden inside of you are able to find it. Great fun for a date night or family outing. read more

This was my second time coming to The Real Unreal and I loved it just as much as the first time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's all about the energy you bring into this choose your own adventure experience so I always love spending time here getting totally lost in the installations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was super excited to see that they added a permanent bar to the city area with cute little souvenir cups for creative cocktails. I highly recommend the lemonade one stuffed with nerds-- it was well worth $9. I am always excited to support local artist works in a permanent installation experience! All in all it was a very good experience: the installations are great, the staff are friendly, and it's fun seeing how the interactive performances engage kids. Meow Wolf Grapevine is definitely a unique and memorable experience. I went with my wife and a friend visiting from out of town, and we spent close to five hours exploring. The art and design are incredibly creative, with endless details to discover. Neon City was the standout for us -- vibrant, fun, and unlike anything else I've seen. That said, the experience isn't without some drawbacks. It was very crowded during our visit, with lots of small children running freely, which made it harder to get immersed in the environment. The flow of the exhibit also feels a little scattered since you can start anywhere, though it works better if you follow it in a certain order. On the logistical side, staff training could be stronger. We ran into an issue with re-entry because hand stamps weren't given consistently, which caused some unnecessary delays. Bathrooms are also inconvenient since leaving means going back through security and the entry process again. Inside, additional sanitizing stations would go a long way, as most of the experience involves touching surfaces that didn't feel especially clean. Parking was straightforward, and while the ticket price felt semi-worth it for the amount of time we spent, I'd recommend buying in advance to save money. For us, it's probably a one-time visit at the DFW location, but the overall concept is impressive enough that I'd be interested in checking out Meow Wolf's other installations in the future. read more

We had heard about Meow Wolf in the past and thought it sounded neat but wasn't fully interested in going. I definitely didn't fully understand what it was. My husband and I needed a fun activity to do together (without the kids) for our 18th wedding anniversary and I decided it looked neat enough to go to, even if it was mainly just an immersive art experience. I was 1000% wrong. It is way, way more than that. It is intense and entertaining and intriguinging and kept our attention and interest for nearly 3 hours on our extended date. We felt a bit like kids again, and there was even more of the experience that we didn't fully explore in that timeframe. It's hard to explain without giving away spoilers but it was incredibly interesting and multifaceted and immersive, but not directly as an art exhibit as much as like you are in a storyline in an Alice in Wonderland-like world with multiple dimensions and most everything is interactive. Touch everything, push the buttons, open the doors and drawers and cabinets, cause there are hidden treasures and such at every turn. The employees were wonderful. No one broke character, they were just as present as you'd want them to be (they're there in part to answer questions and help with whatever is needed), and they all were welcoming. One in particular stood out - Reinhart. I didn't know it until after we exited the experience but they're the manager at the location. That doesn't surprise me because they were a role model for how the staff there should interact with the people attending the experience. They may all do that too truly, but I can only speak directly about this manager as we crossed paths with them so many times. There was a group of elementary-aged kiddos who were clearly having the time of their lives and part of that was due to Reinhart's interactions. The kids would treat them as a customer in their game of "Restaurant", ask them to be a member of their audience as they performed on the stage for them, invite them to walk around with them throughout the different areas of the experience, etc. They stayed in character and interacted with the kids on their level, never seeming bored or inconvenienced, and always game for whatever they wanted of them. They were definitely invested in the kids having the ultimate experience that day and I'm certain they did, in large part due to the way Reinhart enhanced the experience for them throughout their time there. When we left (shortly after the group of kids) they were already at the register helping out and being readily available for the customers in the gift shop. They definitely fulfill the spirit of the place and made it even more fun for us just by being around their great interactions with the kids. Cost: Worth it. 100%. To be clear, I am a pretty cheap person, which is why I had deferred taking my 2 kiddos to it even though they were interested. I didn't want to spend that much money on what I thought was a nice but fairly straightforward art experience but now that we truly understand what it is we will DEFINITELY be bringing them back, as well as our girl scout troop. We're also gonna have my kids upcoming birthday party here too, her request. My only regret is just buying one time tickets and not buying my hubby and I the membership, as it pays for itself after only 2 visits and we will definitely want to go to this and other Meow Wolfs later this summer. They have multiple locations across the US and each one has a different experience/storyline/exhibits, so it's worth going to any of them your near as they aren't all the same. We will likely get our kids the membership when we take them soon. There is an integrated snack shack in the experience and the prices aren't bad, better than a lot of places we've gone to in the past. You can't bring outside food and drink but they do have water stations to fill up an empty bottle at, if you bring one. This was our second Meow Wolf, having gone to Santa Fe in '23, and Grapevine lived up to our expectations and more. The first time I didn't know what to expect but now that I'm an experienced Meower I had a high bar for this location to meet. The experience is just amazing. The depth of the thought process, creativity, the presentation astounds the visitor unless maybe you also are an artist, visual creator or own an imagination with no boundaries. Stimuli after stimuli at every door or opening confronts you and beckons you to explore with lights, sounds, puzzles and more which is their goal of course. It kept getting more and more interesting as we went deeper into each room up and downstairs. It is a trip to say the least. The details they go through to give you enjoyment were so appreciated by me that I stopped, looked, read, gazed at things for periods I didn't expect and my wife got tired of trying to find me! Your team did a fantastic job executing an upstream take on the original museum concept in NM. Thank you Meow Wolf and I will see you again in Vegas in a few months. I had absolutely no idea what I was in for when my friend took me to Meow Wolf, so I went in completely blind. It was very cool! It gives "Stranger Things" vibes, but is also super different. There are a lot of things to touch and explore, and there are a bunch of art installations you walk through that have been created by different local artists. It's much bigger than I thought and I had a good time. There's this whole storyline woven through the experience that was very confusing. In fairness, we didn't download the optional mobile app, so maybe that would have explained things better. Also, there are a lot of things you're supposed to explore and touch, and some were cool but some were weird: like rummaging through stuff in a chest of drawers in a house, etc. My inner germophobe wanted nothing to do with that, and also would have appreciated hand sanitizer stations throughout the exhibit. Hi. Here's all the FYI and TMI on MW. For comparison, I have been to Nxt Digital Museum in Amsterdam as well as both Teamlabs locations in Tokyo - those are def a bit more immersive. Before we embark upon this journey, I will say the stars go to the exhibit itself and the patient, thoughtful, helpful employees. Did my inner goth girl manifest when I saw these young art students able to be themselves while working? Yes. When did I stop wearing black lipstick? We arrived around 12:30 on a weekday hoping to miss crowds and kids. It seems they sell tix via time blocks to stagger the crowds, but we needed coffee so we paid a bit more for anytime admission and returned at 1:30ish and waited with the group to hear the rules, info, and enter - maybe 25 of us. As soon as we entered - too many (not all, but...) loud, out-of-control kids. Don't come for me, I'm a parent and this was not ok. Normally, I can ignore such things but when you are literally climbing through the very narrow tunnels (washer and dryer for example), I don't need a strange kid wedging in with knees in my ribs. But, reality check, this is an outlet mall. That said, they do have adults only times, check the site. Regardless, it was a fun couple of hours. We investigated every area. Walking through fridges and opening secret closets, reading journals in drawers, cool digital and neon sign sections reminiscent of Shinjuku at night. Subtle thought provoking messages throughout. Micro-Severance vibes. Also, Picking up the payphone and hearing a faint voice on the other side is the best type of creepy y'all! They had a little bar in one area with interesting drinks but most of that open-ish area was populated with parents who lost their kids talking to staff. There is also a snack bar in the lobby with fun drinks and treats. We spent way more time than expected in the gift shop and trust me, you will want everything no matter your age.
