Been moving, dislocated my shoulder at boxing the night before the move. However, decided to push which ended up triggering something in my lower back. Typically I would ignore, and deal with it but it's gotten to the point where I can't ignore it. Leaving for a two week motorcycle trip tomorrow and I know if I don't get this checked out now, it's going to be a problem. This is the best Physical Therapy Center in the area, in my opinion. I have used both the Physical Therapy services of Exos and FYZICAL over a two year period before and after knee replacement. They have special machines for neck and knee injuries. The two PTs Adam and Marlene spend one-on-one time with you. Both are licensed and Adam has a Doctor of PT certification. I also worked with Dr Sandy, a chiropractor. Facility is clean with all Covid precautions taken - fantastic service and team. read more

This place and the people there are amazing. I have been a patient there on and off for about 2 years. Over the Labor Day weekend and Also Hurricane Dorian, my 21 year old son walk up on Monday with severe back pain which was so excruciating painful that he was not able to stand or sit down. I was on my way to the ER at St Mary's Hospital when I called Dr Mark Weinberg. He asked a few questions and immediately figured out what the issue was. He convinced me that I did not need to go to the ER and even though his place was all boarded up for the Hurricane, he suggested that he will meet me at my place of business. ( how many Drs would do that on a Labor Day Monday with Hurricane Dorian approaching? ) Dr Mark came there with his folding table and did his adjustments on my son and within 10 mins my son was pain free! The entire staff at Active Health is amazing! Alex, Jade and Shannon greet you with smiles every time! The PT staff has been helpful in treating my 7yr old with an ankle injury. This place has been a lifesaver for me. They've taken care of all my aches and pains. A year after a car accident where my neck pain wouldn't go away I did their MCU unit and finally I was pain free. Dr. Behrue is the best chiropractor. I suffered with constant pain in my neck for several years and nobody else could help me. I can't say enough great things about Active Health center. I could barely lift my leg out of my car due to my hip being out of whack. Thanks to Drs. Weinberg and Behrue I was good as new within a short time and my hip issue and pain have never returned. I now go for maintenance and the occasional migraine relief. The office staff is top-notch, everyone is friendly and helpful. This place is absolutely wonderful! The front office staff is extremely friendly, they will get to know your name and ask you how your day is every single time and mean it. All of the doctors are extremely kind and very knowledgeable and all have your best interest. Being someone who is a relatively young It's often very hard to be taken seriously when at a doctors appointment or any professional place like that, but in this place everyone is treated as equal whether you be two months old to 70 years old everyone is a patient everyone needs relief from whatever they're going through. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is going through any problems and needs physical therapy for anyone who just wants to get an adjustment. With every adjustment that I've been through Bryan was was extremely gentle and waited for me to be comfortable until he continued with my adjustment. I am a 25 year old and played football all the way up to the collegiate level, over 12 years total. I suffer from chronic back pain from my past of weightlifting and football. I came into see Dr. Bryan T. Hunte, DC. and I feel that he took complete advantage of me. I described my years of pain and he gave me a bit of advice and then decided to administer and X-RAY, which I look back at now and see that it was totally unnecessary to do. Me, being naive and trusting him I went along with it and ended up leaving with a bill over $200 for absolutely nothing. I feel like he administered the X-RAY to rack up the bill. He saw a way to make an extra buck and took advantage of me. At the end of the day I realize it's ultimately my fault, but I can be sure nothing like this will ever happen again. Thanks for teaching me a lesson Dr...I highly recommend you get care elsewhere. When I look back on the experience I could see in his eyes all he cared about was the money and not my overall health. This is my first bad review i've ever made on a business and I hope it convinces some of you to take your business elsewhere. read more

I think this office should be labeled under Active Health Center, instead of MCU Now, but I noticed the review below listed Dr. Behru, so this must be the same location. I found this office after a friend recommended Dr. Behru. I had visited 2 other chiropractors in the area and none of them offered relief or were as competent/knowledgeable as Dr. Behru (if you read his credentials on the Active Health Center website, you'll understand why). For months I had severe shoulder pain and could barely lift my left arm. Dr. Behru explained my condition (called Frozen Shoulder or adhesive capsulitis) and was the first doctor to actually relieve some of the pain from the first visit. I could go on and on about this practice, but I'd just encourage everyone to give them a try if you are considering chiropractic care. I'm picky and I've seen over 30 different doctors in my life (I'm in my 40s), everything from cancer, to heart surgery, so I am extremely picky when it comes to selecting physicians. Dr. Behru is brilliant. And his partner, Dr. Hunte, is also an excellent physical therapist that I am now seeing as I'm entering the final stages of healing from this horrific discomfort. read more
