I have known Dr. Shane Ott through his partnership and support he provides to the Team Challenge charity program. After taking a big fall climbing in December, injuring both my ankles, recovery still wasn't going well. I finally thought it's time to give him a try. He helps so many triathletes and runners, maybe he can help a climber out. My first appointment was last week, with just that first visit I had almost full range of motion back in my ankles and managed to do some climbing too. On top of that, he was so helpful and took the time to explain what he was doing and why which I very much appreciated. It's nice to be able to understand the care you are being given. My second visit was today and I'm feeling more relief in my ankles than I have in a long time (even before the recent injury). I will be heading to a big climbing festival in two weekends and I'm excited to be back on track with my training and climbing progress thanks to Dr. Ott. With his flexible scheduling I was able to plan appointments around the event and my job too. Very accommodating! I did not grow up with chiropractic care and had some experience with it a few years back with my children. As a mom, teenage "kids", they are still my babies. When they hurt, I hurt. My fiancé has had horrible back issues, surgeries, etc and has been seeing Dr Shane over this last year. It has made such a difference in his mobility and attitude as he isn't in pain anymore. I have been seeing different chiropractors since I first started practicing sports as a teenager. Throughout the years I've learned what makes a chiropractor GREAT, and Dr. Shane Ott has those qualities. He's the first Chiro in years to request, review and work with my actual X-ray and full postural misalignments rather than adjusting arbitrarily. His focus and approach weekly changes based on my needs and current misalignments AND he is responsive to and proactive about other ways to maintain health and avoid injury/pain. Besides adjustments that have improved my pain and symptoms, he has professionally taped my knees (which track out laterally) with Rock Tape recently and I am convinced now that this tape and his professional taping skills are going to help me move beyond my current limitations. Dr. Shane Ott has done a great job in keeping me out of pain. I came into his office six months ago and could barely stand straight up. In less than 2 weeks I was feeling great and able to start working out again. I now see Dr. Shane once a week, which has made a world of difference. Before starting to see Dr. Ott I would just go to the Chiropractor when I was in pain. By going once a week I feel stronger and it has helped me prevent additional injuries and stay out of pain. He is also great with kids! My kids love going to see Dr. Shane his office is very welcoming and he is patient and attentive to them. You know he really cares about his patients. Dr Shane Ott is one great Chiropractor. The office is friendly, runs on time, responsive and has a great Front Desk Manager (Tasha.) Dr Ott is very experienced working with athletes and our many injuries. I am seeing him for an acute injury/plantar fasciitis but he's also working with my neck and a lack of proper curve. Most Dr's have told me that there is nothing to do for this and to not expect much change. Dr Ott disagreed. He has been treating me for several months now and the pain has diminished a lot. Mobility is better and I rarely think of myself having a 'bad neck' which has been true most of my adult life. I could not recommend him more. Give it time when he suggests a treatment plan. His passion for helping his patients exceeds that of many & he is incredibly generous with his time. I brought in a friend unannounced once and he was able to fit her right in - and took the time to really listen & hear her (without pushing anyone else's appointment later!). Let me start by saying I had never been to a chiropractor before. I was nervous and worried and in a lot of pain and unable to move my neck. Dr. Shane took time to calm my fears and explained what he does and how it works. After discussing my issues he decided to postpone treatment until he saw an X-ray, which I liked because he didn't just jump in blind trying to fix me. Dr. Ott is a great chiropractor! I have been dealing with a lower back with pain and tightness and a neck that has needed attention for a while. I have been going to them twice a week for the past 30 days and I have noticed much better movement in my neck and little to no pain. My lower back was hurting constantly that it drained my energy and affected my ability to concentrat & work out. After being treated by Dr. Shane for less than a year, my back pain is finally gone . I now come in at least once a week to get adjusted. If I'm out of town and miss my appointment, I do notice some stiffness in my back and neck. While he does specialize in treatment for those who live a very active life, his expertise is also helpful for those who don't run marathons. Wow, all I can say is the man knows what he's doing. He saw me injure myself at a skateboarding event that he was volunteering at and told me to come in. Dr. Ott has made my pelvis injury non existent. In the beginning my right foot was almost an inch longer which was causing me to walk funny in turn aggravating my injury. BOOM. not anymore. I've been going to him twice a week now for a little over a month and my neck feels great!
