Bring heavily involved in all things fitness, I've come to develop some major imbalances over my 13 year lifting career. This is further exaggerated by multiple broken bones, surgeries, and other injuries over the years. On top of that, I've got typical wear and tear, stored tension, etc. These all make me very appreciative of a good massage therapist. At the recommendation of a friend who had used her in the past, I booked an appointment with Shayla. Shortly into the massage it became apparent just how good of an understanding she had of the muscular structure/inserts and their functions. She has an amazing eye for spotting imbalances and their potential origin points. Using varying degrees of pressure, she targeted specific points as she moved me through various motions. In my opinion, I've found this type of massage to be the most beneficial in terms of actually alleviating and addressing imbalances and areas of tension. Her understanding of this all was very impressive. I've had many, many appointments with massage therapists and I can confidently say she was the best I had ever been to. For months I have been having severe tension in my neck and trapezius on the left side. I guess I thought maybe it was tech neck from you much covid down time on my phone and after working with Lupe, the massage therapist today, I know know it is scar tissue from radiation! After a fabulous 50 minutes, for the first time in months I can look over my left shoulder. Lupe worked wonders on starting to break up the scar tissue and get me some relief! She was my third massage therapist in 3 weeks and as they say, third time is a charm!! Walking in to the front door is more like coming over to a friends house than a doctors office! Jo, Jacqui & the front desk staff always greet me with the friendliest hello. They always get me in to a room quickly. I see Dr Werbelow on a regular basis for my back and hip issues. When I first came it was for tendonitis in my shoulder which Dr W completely fixed! I love that they have training on site and I have been seeing Nicole who has been helping my hip tremendously. I also get regular massages from all the therapists there and they really communicate with the Docs to get to the root of any issue you may have. After my car accident, I wasn't excited to have to go through the process of rehabilitation for pinched nerves in my back and shoulder/back/neck muscles that wouldn't relax no matter how much heat I applied. I've had a couple of adjustments here, they were pretty good. Office staff is nice. I'm really rating the massage therapist. I saw Lupe a few weeks ago. She was very very nice but not professional at all. She started off bad mouthing people who have tendonitis and fibromyalgia. Saying they were fake diagnosis and it irritates her when people tell her that they have those problems. Then she spent the rest of the time talking about her granddaughter. Her granddaughter sounds fabulous but, I'm there to relax.... and it seemed like she had a hard time talking and massaging at the same time so she would pause the massage often to finish her story. So, I will not be back for a massage. And the price was pretty outrageous. read more

Highly recommend Active Mobility! I first came in after a motor vehicle accident and they took great care of me through the entire process! The doctors, trainers, massage therapists and office staff are all extremely professional and attentive. I am on the mend from the accident, but continue to come in to be adjusted for maintenance. Folks, I don't like doing these types of reviews. However, I do have to report that I was highly dissatisfied with the customer service at this place. This is not based on the services provided here or the doctors. This is based on actually trying to get an appointment. I called 3 times. 1. Left a message 2. Waited for 4 or 5 days, called again. Got a very frazzled receptionist. She very tersely said she was extremely busy and would have to call me back. So I waited. 3. 2 days later, when I received no call, I decided to call again, only to find the answering machine again. This would be no problem if it was... say, a dentist appointment I wanted to avoid. However, I had tweaked my back badly and it had been in pain when I called the first time for a whole week... now i've been having this same pain for a total of 2 weeks without response from the chiropractic office. Today, I decided to call another chiropractic office. Got an appointment in quickly without much hassle. I almost wanted to weep with joy. Sorry, I have to be a sore 2 stars in a forest of 5's, but unfortunately I couldn't get an appointment here to see what all the 5 stars are about :(. read more

Active Mobility offers physical therapy, chiropractic services, acupuncture, massage therapy, and athletic training. I went here for rehabilitation and was treated by Betty Parmenter. I broke my toe in November of 2013. Five months later my toe and foot still hurt, were swollen, and I could not walk correctly. I was told by a physician to go to physical therapy. I was referred to Active Mobility in early May of 2014 and scheduled an appointment then. I can't imagine a better physical therapist anywhere! I told Betty that I needed to be able to walk without pain by July for a trip to Las Vegas. She was confident it would be possible. Six weeks later in June I am walking with minimal pain and ready to go to Las Vegas. Betty is very caring and spends a lot of time with her patients. I had never had physical therapy before but from what I heard a physical therapist will spend 10 minutes with hands on therapy with the patient. Every appointment I had with Betty she spent at least 20 minutes with me. My foot was in bad shape and I am not sure any other physical therapist could have fixed my foot as fast as she did. I have been a patient of Ron Cottrell's for the last 6 years, he has put me back together time & time again, you come in feeling like you can barely walk, and then you leave feeling like every is back as it should. Hi! I began seeing Sherine Blair for acupuncture in May of 2010. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for almost a year with no luck. I was very apprehensive because I don't like needles and was convinced that it would hurt. As soon as I met her I felt extremely comfortable,calm and relaxed. I had no pain and actually found some sites hilarious! On June 6th, 2010 I found out that I was pregnant!!! I am absolutely positive that my acupuncture sessions with Sherine made this happen. Her office is wonderfully relaxing. She is professional and caring and very good at what she does! When I went into labor I called Sherine and asked her to meet me at the hospital. My water had broken but my contractions had not started six hours later. She came right away and used acupuncture to get the ball rolling. Boy, did this work!! She stayed with me and my husband until our son was born the next day, using acupuncture to keep the labor going and to help with pain control. This place is amazing! I've come here for chiropractic for my scoliosis & sciatica, rehab for my plantar fasciitis and just general pains! Dr. Werbelow keeps me put together and helped rehab my foot so that I'm back to running - even my podiatrist wasn't sure I'd be able too again!!
