The clothes section is nice. Housewares too. But the food section is mostly unhealthy stuff. And…read morethe customer service is TERRIBLE. Trying to get help was very hard -- employees were so busy doing something else. And when this young man did help me -- I am not used to being talked down to by someone younger than my grandchildren. I quit going to Target YEARS ago. Today reminded me why I stopped going. NEVER going back.

Universally very friendly and helpful staff at this store, and staff roaming everywhere, ready to…read morehelp (which is good, because there's so much now locked up behind glass, even here). Glowering armed security guards standing up front right inside the doors make you feel, I guess, safe (?) if not especially comfortable - it's sure not the old days, is it? Anyhow, prices here are notably higher on just about (but not) everything. Selection in the food aisles is oddly minimalist (no cilantro? really?). Well stocked shelves. Better lit than the WalMart Supercenter that's nearby and feels a little more middle class while remaining every bit as diverse (gotta love Albuquerque on that front). Basically, the staff are friendlier and more engaging here than at WalMart, but the prices are higher and the well-stocked shelves don't necessarily have everything you'd want. You feel as if your car is probably safer in the parking lot at this Target than at the nearby WalMart Supercenter. Shopping sure isn't what it used to be . . .

With only one day in ABQ, I knew the top thing I needed to see was Old Town!! Even after asking a…read morefew locals what they would do in the city, they all mentioned this area. Old Town oozes charm and culture. You can visit a historic chapel, roam the many cute shops or grab something to eat at one of the restaurants. There's a lot of really interesting Native American keepsakes and art to check out as well. You also never know what could be going on here - I happened to stumble into a quincenera and visited around Day of the Dead, so there was some really neat decor all around. If there's anything you must do in this city, it's Old Town!!

When we landed it was at night and we immediately drove to Roswell so we made it a point to come…read moreback to Albuquerque and explore a bit. My friend had a bunch of Native American shops bookmarked and they were all in this general area so we came to do multiple things at the same time. The shops here are closer to the reservation with lots of Native American artists so it is much more affordable than the same thing in Santa Fe. It is a bit touristy but we are tourists so we enjoyed it. Many shops had unique items that were hard to find and even though it was mainly for show I loved seeing the dried chili everywhere. The area has legit history and age and it was great being able to see and do so much without moving our car. Parking was easy and from the town square you can get to many different shops, restaurants, and attractions. The church was a nice fast stop, but I liked the exterior more than the interior. The vibe and architecture are perfect American Southwest and we enjoyed our time here. There was also a Pokemon card shop I grabbed some cards for the kids from!
