BEWARE. I will NEVER be returning here. This was my first time bringing my dogs here. They are both very well behaved. They do not bite or anything. I thought it was very odd that the appointment for their nail trimming and brush were under 5 minutes for two dogs. I assumed they would have filed their nails properly. Absolutely not. They cut their nails with sloppy nail cutters. My dogs both have nails that are all completely split open, broken, and bloody. I was MORTIFIED once I noticed my small one had pieces of nail sticking out and then the blood. I wouldn't have let them take my other dog but it was too late. I paid and left immediately to get the hell out of there. I doubt the brush was even anything when it lasted less than 2 minutes for each one. Such a waste of time and money. I don't know how anyone recommended this place. My dogs are in pain and will both be going to the vet now. read more

We are pretty new to Acton...found this place on yelp...so happy we chose this place...all 4 of our little babies alway come home looking and smelling good!! We can tell they put some love into their craft here because when we tell our babies that its "time for doggie spa and pawdicures" they come running and actually enjoy going there!! My dog is very panicky and scared most of the time especially when he knows he's going to get groomed . I use to take him to petsmart but the two lovely lady's that use to groom him left . I saw this groomer online and decided to give them a chance . My dog was in a desperate need of a hair cut and he came home fully groomed and happy . No crying when he got picked up or Knick's on his skin from the machine . I am pleased and delighted with this mom and pop grooming place . Took my four fur babies in for the works nails bath teeth anal glands, Very happy with their patience. We have one who is a bit well she bites she has very few teeth left but it can scare you a bit. They took the time to get to know her let her calm down and she even got her teeth brushed. My other three dogs were not stressed when I picked them up either. Acton Pet Grooming is great all around, and absolutely wonderful with reluctant pets. I had a VERY matted senior cat who was rejected by the PetSmart groomers because she was "too aggressive" and they were "afraid for their safety." My parents have their dogs groomed by Larry & Sherry and suggested I give them a try--I'm so glad I did! I warned them repeatedly that she might be a fighter and make their job difficult, but they weren't concerned at all. When I returned to pick her up I was shocked to hear that she had done really well! They mentioned how sweet she is and said she was just scared and needed some extra TLC to stay calm. They are awesome... they are very personal... they do not overlap appointments nor have my dogs ever been in the cage... my dogs do not like getting groomed ... other places they as soon as they are let out of the cage they run to me... wanting to run out the door... but here they are lying on a bed open range behind the counter... just chilling... makes my heart happy!!! Well, it was an interesting experience today when attempting to drop off or two dogs to get groomed. Arrived at 1405 for a 1400 appointment, and received a considerable diatribe about showing up late for an appointment. This was the first time that I was attempting to deliver the dogs since my wife couldn't drive due to a recently broken wrist. The woman went on about my wife apparently showing up 10 - 20 minutes late in the past, and this supposedly showed a "history" of being late. The man appeared to try to work with me since this was the first time that I was delivering the dogs. I explained that we planned to remain at Crazy Otto's; so we'd be ready to immediately pick them up, but the woman, however would have none of it. So much for taking time off work and driving 30 minutes to deliver the dogs. They lost $90 today and my family's business forever. FYI, out of five times visiting, one of our dogs was twice shaved so close in their private areas that she could not go to the bathroom for days. Don't know if this was just a bad day, but I'd be wary. read more
