I'd add it…read morenear the end like this: I recently visited Center Stage Theater on two separate days for the Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott fight events--Thursday for Media Day and Friday for the official weigh-ins--and the venue was a great setting for both. Center Stage has a really cool atmosphere that works especially well for an event like boxing. It feels intimate enough that you're close to everything happening, but still has the professional feel you want for a major media event. From a media perspective, I appreciated being able to experience the venue on back-to-back days and see how well the space transitioned between Media Day and the weigh-ins. The staff was welcoming and professional, and everything felt organized throughout both visits. With fighters, trainers, promoters, photographers, videographers, media, and guests all moving around, organization can make a huge difference, and the venue handled the activity well. I also really liked the character of the theater itself. It doesn't feel like a generic event space--it has its own personality and creates a great backdrop for photos and video, especially during something as energetic as a boxing weigh-in. One tip I would definitely give anyone planning to visit is to check the parking apps before paying at the kiosks. I was able to find parking for $21 for the entire day through an app, while paying directly through the parking kiosk was $14 for only three hours. If you're going to be at Center Stage for several hours, especially for an event, using a parking app can save you quite a bit of money and keep you from having to worry about your time running out. Being there for the Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott Media Day and weigh-ins gave me the opportunity to experience Center Stage Theater in a completely different way, and I came away impressed. Two days, two different events, and a great experience both times. Definitely a venue I would be happy to return to for another boxing, entertainment, or media event.

As I was doing some research about this venue, I was particularly interested in the parking…read moresituation. From what I read, there were a few different options. The venue has a parking lot directly under the property. Other options mentioned include an office building across the street and a hotel next door. As we approached the venue on W. Peachtree street, I saw a parking attendant waving a flag encouraging patrons to use the venue parking. I followed his encouragement and took that sharp left down the ramp. As my research reported, it was tight and congested. I had to drive down at least three different levels to find an open spot. I paid for my parking at one of the machines positioned around the parking deck. It was the usual; enter your license plate and pay with a credit card. It was fairly reasonable at $20 for 9 hours. I saw a few people waiting and waiting for an elevator that never arrived. Your best bet is to walk up the path that you drove down to get to the theater. When we made it to the top and the front entrance a staff member asked if we were drinking, checked our IDs and placed a bracelet on our wrists. Once we entered, walked past security and through the metal detectors doors, we made it to the lobby area. A full bar was right in front of us and we joined the fast moving line. They had about 5 - 7 beer options. I ordered the Scofflaw POG Basement IPA and Wifey ordered the Yuengling lager. We scooped up our beers and went to find our seats. There were staff members everywhere to help. We found our seats and settled in for the show. This is a mid-sized venue and there is not a bad seat in the house. We thoroughly enjoyed the almost 2 hour show and the artist sounded great. As the show wrapped up we headed to the restroom where we both had to stand in a line, but it was fine and the bathrooms were clean. Wifey had a longer line than I did, of course. While waiting I was able to snap a few more pics. We headed back to the parking lot which took us about a half hour to reach the street level. Overall, we had a very good experience at Center Stage and would return for another show. 3.5 - 4 Rating

ECHO seemed more back to basics -- less gimmicks. The big change was that wee sat on the second row. The performers were literally near enough to touch. Wow. The show is great. The acts: jugglers, acrobats, gymnasts, slack line artists, clowns, catapult jumpers, trapeze artists, you name it -- are absolutely wonderful. A sense of wonderment comes over you as if you are a child again. The sound system is terrific and the live musicians and vocalists are impressive. The seats are a bit tight but perfectly fine for the duration of the show. Food is of course expensive as are all of the momentos for purchase. But you're at the most fabulous circus you've ever seen. My only complaint -- and it's out of the control of Cirque -- is exiting the Atlantic Station parking garage. Very slow. The stations to pay the parking fees didn't work so people had to pay one at a time at the actual exit. Miami, ECHO opens there February 22. Don't miss it.

We arrived around 2:30 and was there until 9:00 pm for the taping of 2 shows. Not even a cracker was provided to eat! Cheap, ghetto and classless is what I call it! There is not even a vending machine. I never saw on any correspondence that taping would be that long and nothing to snack on available. Tyler Perry, Steve Harvey and Family Feud bring in toooo much money for not even a small pack of peanut butter crackers, a granola bar or even a 25 cent bag of chips to be served!!! I was totally disgusted and turned off by this because although it was a free taping----you wouldn't be able to do it without a live audience!! A little bit of appreciation for 7-8 hours of your time would have been nice. The staff seemed mean, over worked and underpaid. No smiles other than the production manager who had a curly natural fro ponytail. There was a heavyset black guy with a black winter beanie cap on that told my daughter the Smart Pop popcorn was for people who were there all day.! Well wtf do you call 2-9pm. Then to make matters worst, the staff and family members of the contestants are hot lunches in our faces. It was so classless! Steve Harvey and the hype man were so cool though and really provide for lots of laughs. Steve even left us on a spiritual note. He is definitely a natural comedian and speaker. Now that was a 5 star experience! Just Steve, hypeman, music, and the show itself 5 stars! The production company and the professionalism and hospitality of this place is a 3 and that's being nice. Overall, moving forward I would not recommend spending your precious off day setting around starving all day to see the show. I'll just watch from home but should you happen to read my review and go------ Eat a heavy meal before hand bc these cheap ass folks will not even provide a saltine cracker. If times are that hard they should just stop taping. I went to a few live taping and they at least provide light snacks via vending machine or free lay out. Despicable and changed the way I look at Tyler Perry Studios. Production company needs to get it together. Would never return and don't recommend!

The building decor and design in itself is a treat--in an artsy and historical style--but the sound system in that hall was on fire! The line outside wasn't terrible, and the staff and security were all very respectful and laid back. No drama. Fair warning, they let me in with my mini-backpack but tossed any snacks I had in it. No biggie! So, if you find yourself touring around Centennial Park and want to catch a show, it's not too hard. The main floor allows for the party to really happen, but only for those who can endure standing for hours at a time as it's standing only. There's a floor level for VIPs, which I bet was totally worth the money. We sat up in the balcony, so we could sit and see it all. Whew! The seats are very snug! Drinks were tasty and made well. My pizza wasn't exceptional in any way, but it was edible for bar food. And really, the bartenders were all friendly and patient. Just a cool night altogether. Great experience for a small-venue show on a date, with girlfriends, or a big group of fans alike! We saw James Blake, and the only issue I had was the bright flashing lights.
