How lovely! The building is beautiful, and they really did try and maintain it as much as possible, and it shows how well the kept it. It's great that this piece of history will continue on as it has for the past almost 100 years! I'm so glad I got tickets to see a performance here because the experience was great. I definitely will have to keep my eye out for other shows to catch. Surprisingly, security was fast. It took me maybe a minute to get through and scan my ticket. Staff was friendly and really helpful. They check tickets for seats before directing you to another member that will guide you to your seat. My friend and I came to see Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and it was amazing! I believe they stopped by Atlanta last year, and I'm glad that they returned. According to the program, each day had some differences as to what was performed, and I considered going again just to see the other dances. Fox Theater lives up to all expectations- what a stunning and mesmerizing piece of history right in downtown ATL. We came for a Broadway show and start to end it was spectacular. The workers were all nice, and for how many people came navigating in and out really wasn't too bad. The only kind of weird thing is the bathrooms are downstairs so that can get super crammed, especially the women's side. You do have to get the right seats, though. There's a huge balcony but only the middle section really allows for a real view of the stage, so don't be tricked by that. Otherwise, you're better off being down below. Also, if you are farther back on the main floor, make sure to walk up closer to the stage and look up. Trust me, it's worth it. read more

We visited the Fox Theatre in Atlanta for the first time to see the stage production of Elf, and it was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. I've always loved the movie with Will Ferrell, and this Broadway‑style version captured the same humor and heart. I found myself laughing throughout the show. The production quality was strong--great pacing, lively performances, and costumes that were colorful, festive, and full of personality. You could tell a lot of care went into bringing this story to life on stage. Our seats, however, were definitely in the "nosebleed" section. The view was fine overall, but it did strain the eyes a bit from that height. Note to self: next time, spring for seats a little closer to the action. One thing that made the experience especially memorable was the audience itself. The theatre was filled with families--lots of children and adults who were fully engaged and applauding throughout. That energy made the show even more special for our little one, who loved being part of such a joyful crowd. Even with the distant seats, I'm glad we went. The Fox Theatre is such a beautiful, historic venue, and the atmosphere always adds something special to the experience. Between the architecture, the energy, and the holiday spirit of the show, it made for a memorable night out. I've been to the Fox theater before for an actual show and I definitely enjoyed my experience there. This time, however I came for a wedding and prior to being invited to this wedding I honestly didn't know that you could even have weddings at the Fox theater. Now that I've experienced it, it's definitely a great venue in my opinion and I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for a wedding venue. So just from the outside, the Fox theater entrance is so beautiful and the wedding couple's picture was displayed there at certain points, which was really cool. They had somebody working there, directing us to where the actual wedding was which I appreciated. The actual wedding venue itself is just really beautiful and logistics wise made sense. I've been to some weddings or big events where if you're not seated in a certain part of the room, you're basically not gonna see anything just due to the columns that are built in the building. I've definitely had my view blocked a couple of times because of being behind a column to where I just couldn't really see the dance floor or what was going on easily. With the way it's built nothing blocks your view at all and again it's just a beautiful venue. Even the floor has like an ancient Egyptian design as well and there was a separate room for the bar and that was spacious and easy to access from the main room. Everything was well lit and just beautiful. I absolutely loved it and if anybody's looking for a wedding venue, I would suggest the Fox theater because as an attendee I really enjoyed myself. read more

What a gorgeous piece of history! I visited the Fox Theatre to see Alvin Ailey with my girlfriends and it was such a fantastic experience. As theater nerd and longtime lover of the arts, it's crazy that I hadn't previously visited the Fox but I'm so happy that I finally did. Purchasing tickets online was incredibly easy and the price range was wide enough for ballers and those on a budget. We snagged some great balcony seats with a great view of the stage for under $60. Total win in my opinion. When we arrived, it was a madhouse downtown. It seemed like everyone in the area was going to the show! Parking in the area was an absolute nightmare as the line to park next to the theater was a half dozen cars long and only public lots were available per usual. Once I got to the door, the crowd was ready for the show! Luckily, there were about 4 or 5 lines open for tickets to be checked, meaning there wasn't a long line to get inside. Once inside, the place is massive. There were employees in every corner assisting folks and one of them showed me where I should be headed for my seat. The inside of the theater foyer looked exactly as I imagined. The fabric, the detailing in the architecture, the smell of popcorn, it was just amazing to see and experience. When we went inside, I was blown away by the beautiful ceilings! I can't even describe the beauty. I always want a snack with my shows so I'm happy that there were so many concession stands. They offered things like popcorn, chips, candy, beer/wine, water and soda. I opted for a bottle of water and a big bag of freshly popped popcorn. That popcorn was great! When I visited the theater I was 9 months pregnant and, phew. Walking those stairs was a task but a good little workout for me. When I made my first journey to the restroom I was stopped by an older employee who sweetly scolded me for walking all of those staircases and going to the regular restroom while pregnant, lol. She helped me to the stairs and pointed out the accessible bathrooms to me, telling me to stay off of my feet. So appreciated! We really enjoyed the performance and the entire experience overall. It's so wonderful to have such historical buildings standing tall and still offering such special memories to this amazing city. Can't wait to go back! read more

I was overjoyed to start off my first event of the year at the Historic Fox Theater to see Alicia Key's production, Hell's Kitchen (absolutely fabulous). Pros: -The Box Office opens several hours before the shows (this provides an opportunity to upgrade seats). -The security at The Fox is bar none! They manage the lines and quickly move the crown through the scans. -Staff is vey friendly, welcoming and super helpful. - Food options are pretty good (although pricey). -Upstairs sound quality is great. Cons: -The Box Office staff is super slow and there are no line markers to separate Box Office/Will Call from the window for Season Ticket holders. -On the Orchestra floor, the sound quality is hit or miss depending on where you sit. Tip: Avoid double letters on the left and right if you can. - Exiting the theater through side doors can be super dangerous at night. The stairs are step and lighting is limited They should have a sign to warn seniors. Many of them were having difficulty getting down. read more

Went to see the Nutcracker (a Christmas gift to my fiancé--she loved it). We had mobile tickets, took seconds to scan. The ambiance is very cool. The staff seemed to work by assigned zones which worked like clock work. Once we entered we were at our seats very quickly. Intermission was like traffic on 285 at rush hour but they had signs/staff directing the crowds. There is food/snacks/popcorn and drinks (wine/beer). Pricy to me, but eh ‍. I went to the Fox theater for an event and they they did a good job. The organization had the upstairs and downstairs pretty booked so you can go upstairs or downstairs or outside on the patios. They had multiple bars and a lot of little areas to duck off if you wanted to get away from some of the crowd. The service was good, even though the service could have been a little bit better, but to be fair they had a ton of people there so they can only do so much so I have to give them Grace. The facility was clean and the security had everybody organized so I felt safe and everything along those lines was good. I look forward to the next time I get a chance to go. read more

Visited the Fox Theater and this time I had Marquee Club access. The food was great from Asian Short Ribs and Kimchi Rice to Prosciutto and mixed cheeses and more. All the food was delicious. Natania was our waitress and she was very very pleasant. She answered all of our questions and she explained the flow of the Marquee Club. For dessert we had cheese cake and pecan brownies. Very good too. Enjoying lunch before the matinee was a great experience. I'd definitely recommend this experience. The ambience was extremely loud and crowded. From start to finish, I had an amazing first time at the Fox. Buying tickets online was a breeze, as well as working with staff who were nice enough to follow up on questions I had via email and telephone prior to the event. If you are a newbie like I was, just know that you have to buy club level seats in order to add on the Marquee Club Day Pass if that is something you are looking to do. You can't just buy a random seat and try to add it on later. There are designated areas that have the automatic add-on when you purchase, so just peruse the seat selections til you find it or call and ask. For people who are already season ticket holders of course or have other memberships, then there are options applicable to them for Marquee Club membership as well. If you want somewhere to chill before and after the show with very little to no wait times for bathrooms, no lines at all for entry and early access to your seat, and access to multiples pay-bars with no lines, as well as great food and drink that come with your purchase, then adding on the Marquee Club, even for a day pass is worth the extra expense. If you cannot stand very long or have pain doing so, I highly recommend this. I skipped all the long lines and got right to an empty, single person bathroom, then right to the lounge to eat. There are 3 levels of the club. I think my favorite was the rooftop lounge as it had beautiful views of Midtown and was not crowded at all. The first level did not have a lot of seating area at first as it was the busiest, but I still found a spot on a corner of a couch to eat and then took my dessert up top. All the staff were so pleasant and hospitable. You really get the service you paid for. The food was excellent, although, the salmon I got was a little cold inside. The Beef Wellington (minis) were pretty underwhelming as there was barely any meat, but it was cool to try for the first time. My favorites of the night were the chicken pot pie with sweet potato biscuits - so good and comforting! And the arancini, not on the menu, but brought out later, were nearly addictive. I went back for extras on those. The dessert was not anything special, but it was nice to have. The macarons were probably my favorite. I did not try the cookies. The red velvet cupcake was definitely on the drier side including the frosting. The elevator was not manned in the Marquee Club but it was for the main, large ones leading up to the show floors. I don't think I have ever been in a manned elevator before. It reminded me of Pretty Woman lol. Even those were not busy as most people crammed down the stairs. Section LRD, seat EE16 was my chair and honestly I would not pick that one again, only because I was right up against a dividing railing, but it was still okay. Just something to note. The seats are not the most comfortable if you are plus sized like me, but if you can make it thru a plane ride, then you'll be okay! I had initially called to see if I could bring a cushion for my back but I am glad I didn't as there would not have been room for it. The venue was packed, but everyone seemed to have a great time. I know I did! Jo Koy even went an extra hour - 2 hours total, since our crowd was showing him such great energy! After the show I was happy to be able to relax back in the club while everyone else scurried out. I called my Uber and had a comfy place to wait it out. Next time I might get a drink, but just know the alcoholic drink prices are like airport prices lol and not included with your MC pass. I highly recommend rideshare if you don't want the hassle of remembering where you parked, having to walk, or paying hefty parking fees. Plus with all the car break-ins in Midtown you might be better off! Overall, it was an awesome Christmas gift to myself and I highly recommend coming to see a show here if you have not yet - a gorgeous venue and amazing staff! read more

It includes unlimited food (heavy hors d'oeuvres, popcorn and desserts, and coke products plus desserts), access to lounge areas with lots of seating, private bars, and bathrooms. It was my first time (finally) going to the Fox. I went to see " A Conversation with Larry David". I parked down the street at the Bank of America building, which was only a block and a half of a walk to the theater (this matters especially if you're wearing heels). The theater was absolutely beautiful. The concession personnel, and the greeters were all very friendly, welcoming and patient. Speaking of concession, the prices for food and drinks were very reasonable! I ordered tequila with pineapple juice, a small popcorn, and m&m peanuts, and didn't spend over $30! Another great perk of the theater was the seating layout. I felt like you had a good view no matter where you sat. It was agood experience for my first show, and I look forward to my second. Sidenote: (I was unaware of this rule upon entering the theater) but large purses are not allowed, they allow small purses only, just a FYI :) read more

The Fox Theatre is a staple of Atlanta. I've attended numerous musicals, plays, and many other types of performances, none of which I wasn't impressed. Just as you'd expect, like Broadway, the seats are not made for comfort but for capacity. Close quarters and stiff cushions but trust me, see the right shows, you won't notice a thing--not to mention, grab yourself a drink! The bar service is always superb, even if the prices are costly but not much else to expect at an upscale and historical theatre. Oh and if you didn't know, this place has been a spectacle in the paranormal community for decades. Swing by and get a paid tour, you might just see Atlanta's Ghostly Thespians and Crew. read more

Wow! This place is incredible. It's huge and there's a lot of climbing stairs if you're way up in the balcony (they do have elevators). Everything was run very smoothly. They opened doors promptly, there were concessions on every for as well as bathrooms which were very clean. The show started about 15 minutes late but that may not have been the theater's fault. They do have a policy where if you arrive late they will make you wait so get there early because it's incredibly rude to others who arrived on time. Being in the FOX Theatre is always nostalgic, if you get an opportunity to go there, so the shows are amazing. NOTE: if we don't know anything else parking depends on who you're going to see. we were able to park in the Orange lot for 40 bucks which was literally around the corner and a block away. I went to see Alvin Ailey production and it was amazing that was not my first time and it really was worth every penny and for sure it will not be my last. I can't wait to return on next year. We had the best seats in the house, not too close and not too far ROW D isnt bad as a matter fact it's top of the line from what I experienced. We had a very disappointing experience at the Fox Theater today with not being able to see the performance from our seats on the main floor. The site line along with "big hair" of the women in front of us blocked the view of two people in our party. Management was not willing to help us by moving us to different seats. I went here with my girlfriend to see MJ the musical, while the show was great, we left halfway through. Security was so annoying, there were walking between the aisles so much like the gestapo I couldn't concentrate on the act. I get that they have a job to do, but man was it annoying watching them walk up and down the aisles constantly just to flag someone for checking the time on their phone for 2 seconds. Seriously, it was super annoying. Don't get seats in the very back because they will piss you off like they did me. It really feels like a nice theatre. The bathrooms are clean and plentiful. The parking was relatively uncomplicated for Atlanta. I just purchased a parking ticket for the event in advance and was able to park there right by the venue. The sound was great and view was good too. The Fox Theatre relies on its history and building design to keep it going because it definitely has not progressed in its tech. The ticketing system is terrible. This is not a reflection on the box office team but the management who picked this system and system. Whoever in mgt decided this "Powered by Paciolan" was a good experience is clueless and it just makes more work for the day-to-day employees. I honestly don't know how they work there because I am sure it is a hot mess having to keep customers at bay because of terrible management and technology. The whole process took 2 weeks. I had to get another ticket submitted which was not submitted the first day I reached out when they told me they would submit a ticket. First, it's their own system but you cannot buy Platinum or VIP tickets anywhere else but through their janky online ticket system. If I'm in person with my card and ID, there is no reason I should not be able to purchase these tickets. It's not a different company so makes no sense it is off limits. If there is a problem with their system, there is no technical support available to help. You have to call box office and wait while you get locked out of purchasing for your account. It will still a put pending charge on your card though. I know some systems don't put a pending charge if it doesn't accept but they do so you'll have to wait for it to fall off. The system also doesn't clarify all of its error messages so you don't know why you can't check out. I kept getting random codes with no notes and then finally that my billing address was wrong which it was not. Then I kept getting "We are unable to process your order. Please check your information and try again later. " or a 7200 code with no additional information. The first message I believe is you actually being blocked from your account. I would not try again later but call to make sure you are unblocked. Finally I got a 12022 error because they do not accept PO Boxes as the address but NOWHERE on the address or checkout sections does it state "We do not accept PO Boxes". It actually shows that you can use a PO Box address - screenshot. There is no error code that communicates that either because the error just says that the address is wrong. Also if my bank accepts it as my address which matches my card then there is no way the Fox shouldn't accept it. It matches so I should be able to check out. If they want a residential address then they should ask for it in another section. I had to go in and change one bank address to residential and I still couldn't check out. Box office is also not equipped to answer questions on what the error code is either to fix in real time. So you will have to speak with a supervisor who then speaks with their boss, and wait 4 business days at minimum to get an update. I still couldn't check out after 2 weeks. The parking is also not its own section like most ticketing systems. Instead it acts as a pop-up after you have selected your tickets. However it doesn't always pop up and there is no additional section for you to add parking anywhere else. You just have to hope it comes up after you have added your ticket. It is also way overpriced. Another fault in their system is when you try to select seats it refuses to allow any openings which the box office can override but again, they can't do this with platinum seats. It's your system so why can't you override? Why would they want empty seats in the front? So the seats are just open, available and unable to purchase. Why would they leave that money on the table? It doesn't make sense because there were solo seats available so how did the other platinum purchasers buy the seats next to it? Someone shouldn't be able to purchase because it would leave a seat empty. They need to close down their online system and give it to AXS. Their guidelines make no sense, it's a horrible user journey, no technical support, and it's outdated aesthetically. read more

My husband and I are in Atlanta for the weekend and he got us tickets to the theater tour. Our guide, Alex, was kind and informative. He talked about the Shriners, who built the theater and how it opened just before the stock market crashed (how unfortunate). He took our group of 10 or so to multiple locations -- we got to walk on stage and backstage, take a manual elevator up to the balcony where we sat for a few minutes, and saw the upstairs rooms that are now event spaces. I was surprised to learn most of the furniture is original (from 1929!) and available to sit on. Definitely worth a trip - one of the most unique theaters I've been to with the night sky and twinkle lights that look like stars. read more

The Fabulous FOX! Very much reminds me of the Tampa Theatre! I don't know the FOX's history but I feel like they were built around the same time. They have a very similar look and feel inside and out. I think I must have been to the FOX 20 years or more ago when I lived there, but this time I was in town specifically to see Moulin Rouge and I have to say - I LOVED the show, the orchestra sounded amazing in that pit... I was able to get in and out of the bathroom twice without any wait...(you have to know to go to the additional stalls). I will say concessions, just like anywhere, is ridiculous. 2 wines/2 waters $35? Other than that - this place is great...make sure you take MARTA (cuz it's SMARTA) otherwise you have to deal with downtown/parking. read more

I have been a Broadway Atlanta season ticket holder for 2 decades & today an extremely rude agent named Ashley refused to allow me to speak to a supevisor. The office was closed yesterday & the online ticket exchange was not working. Due to a work meeting added to my calendar, I need to exchange my tickets for tonight. Instead of thanking me for being a valued ticket holder & making an exception, I was instead told I have a history of exchanges & nothing could be done. I rarely exchange & have not asked for an exception since I had covid 1 time. This is outrageous & I am ready to demand a refund for the remainder of the season. I've been to the Fox for plays and for holiday parties. It's such a great and classic Atlanta venue! The staff is always amazing! If you're going for a show, give yourself enough time! They don't mess around with starting on time and they won't let you in until the first song is over. For intermission, if you have to go to the bathroom, hurry out because they don't play about starting the second act on time. For parking on show days, there will be lots of people holding signs for parking. Before you pay, make sure you can see the lot or ask them where the parking is. We paid for parking and then the guy told us we had to drive a little more ways away, which was frustrating because we later found a garage that was even closer to the Fox for cheaper.
