We watched A Christmas Carol at Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. We had a great time! The theatre had a modern feel : the balcony and boxes looked quite unusual and intricate, constructed with what looked like wicker. Acoustics were great ! We were able to hear everything clearly as though we were sitting right next to the performers. A couple of things we liked about the theatre : they let you inside the lobby area early, unlike other theaters, there are plenty of seating areas so that you don't need to stand until they open the doors and parking is very convenient (they have $40 valet or $18 self parking - we did self) . They also share their back patio with the Art museums and a cafe, so you can grab a cup of coffee or experience the museums without having to look for parking. The play was fantastic in itself - we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Went to see Pearl Cleage's Angry, Raucous, and Shamelessness Gorgeous at the Alliance Theatre. It was a lovely experience. The theater is well lit and the seats are very comfortable. Each seat has a great view of the stage, so there's no bad seat in the house. The design of the actual theatre is nice as well. I went with a large party and we all said we'd be coming back. *The theatre that we were in was only the second play in the newly renovated space. There's an orchestra pit that allows space for a full orchestra. The stage moves in to accommodate the musicians. It is lovely!

I watched Trading Places at Alliance Theatre and had a really good time. The show really made me think about how close we can be to misfortune.

I highly recommend A Christmas Carol at The Alliance Theater. I try to go every year because it is such a wonderful play. It definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit and reminds you about the importance of giving. The production was high end with incredible special effects. The actors were quite talented and several had amazing singing voices. Just a warning, I don't think this show is for small children. The little boy in front of us was scared of the ghost and started crying. But I do think it is a great show for teenagers and adults! I will go back next year!

I recently visited the Alliance Theatre for a few occasions and have to say I'm really impressed! We saw the English-language debut of an award winning Korean musical, Maybe Happy Ending. The set at the Coca-Cola stage was amazing! I will totally come back again!

I enjoyed my time seeing this very inspiring play. The theater was buzzing with people going to see various performances. The play was thought provoking, powerful, and inspiring. The staff was nice m, the place was spotless and they started on time! It was a nice intimate space that made it feel like I was in my living room. Glad I got out to see this!

2 of the actors, including a brilliant singer Trevor Rayshay Perry - terrific actor too.

Built in the 1960s. Has some classic architecture inside. A cozy setting to watch any play.

My favorite has been the tote bag that I've gone fabric frenzy; thank goodness Joann was having a sale. When I expressed I was having a hard time to the higher ups, they suggested I worked harder. While trying to get clarification, I had multiple teachers yell at me and refuse to explain things differently; they felt repeating the same instruction louder was sufficient. My 3 years here were the best years of my entire educational career - including college and grad school! This place really is the most amazing school ever. I remember my first day just like it was yesterday. I was accompanied by one of my best friends, who was also making the big switch to a more civilized school. We sat in front of the bathrooms for like 10 minutes trying to figure out which one was for boys and which was for girls. Turned out you just use whichever one is open! In addition to just being an awesome environment, where you are accepted for being whoever you are, Paideia has a great curriculum. The year is divided into short and long terms. In the long terms, you take the standard stuff - physics, math, languages, etc. The short term is for classes that are a little more outside the box - Sociology of American Rock & Roll anyone? The teachers here are absolutely outstanding! You can totally tell that they love the school and truly believe in it's mission. And Paul, the headmaster, is just an all around great guy. Graduation was awesome. My graduating class was 57 people and Paul made a short speech about every single one of us! I am so thankful that I was able to go to Paideia on a scholarship. I regularly give them money so that others can do so as well. I am also backing them in their efforts to take over the whole block! Go Paideia!

Here is my experience with LS Acting Studio's Lucky 7 Convention…read more I want to start by saying that the acting instructors were kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. The classes themselves were informative. However, with only one two-hour class per week and a large number of students, there wasn't enough time to receive meaningful individual coaching. At the convention, Louis even acknowledged that one class a week wasn't much time before encouraging students to purchase additional classes at a discounted rate. That left me feeling like the limited schedule encouraged students to continue spending more money. In my experience, Louis became visibly upset whenever something went wrong or wasn't done exactly the way he wanted. I and several other students felt as though we were treated like children. We were often provided with candy and junk food rather than meals that felt appropriate for adults attending a professional convention. There would be moments when he would ask us to join him in prayer, and then, moments later, he would be snapping at the group or singling out an individual, sometimes using profanity because he disagreed with something someone said or did. For someone who preached so much about kindness and respect, I found this behavior to be very contradictory. It also seemed that he wanted to control every aspect of the program. Students didn't appear to be encouraged to disagree or voice concerns. Instead of addressing issues privately to better understand a situation or clear up possible misunderstandings, he often addressed students publicly. I watched him call out multiple students in front of everyone, putting them on the spot. It made many people, including myself, uncomfortable, and even some staff members appeared visibly uncomfortable with how those situations were handled. Another thing that stood out to me was that staff members would sometimes report students' concerns, comments, or observations about their demeanor, and those students would later be called out publicly. It created an environment where it felt like you couldn't openly express concerns without worrying they would be repeated or addressed in front of everyone without having the opportunity to explain your perspective. After criticizing students' reactions to who did and didn't receive callbacks, he then turned around and announced that everyone had received a callback. I found that confusing and emotionally unnecessary. Not everyone processes disappointment the same way. Just because someone isn't outwardly celebrating another person's success doesn't mean they're jealous or unsupportive. Sometimes people are simply processing their own disappointment after investing so much time, money, and effort. I also struggled to reconcile the message of encouragement with the way some students were treated. Louis commended everyone for making it to the Lucky 7 Convention despite the obstacles each person may have overcome to get there, yet the atmosphere often felt more critical than supportive. Regardless of a student's experience or background, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. Overall, I left feeling that the environment relied more on public criticism than constructive coaching. While I appreciated the instructors, I personally don't feel the overall experience justified the cost. In my opinion, much of what the program offers can be learned through other acting classes, self-study, and consistent practice without experiencing that type of treatment.
