Haunted cornfields are probably the easiest and cheesiest attractions in the whole Haunted…read moreAttraction industry. It is very very rare to come across one that I actually enjoy. Dark Crop I found by accident in the middle of a nowhere road one night. Getting out of the car and looking over a huge corn field that is at least 2 feet taller than most corn fields all I could hear was random screams in the distance. I was hooked from the beginning. Typically a corn attraction grows paths that are about 6 to 8 feet wide. The corn is dead and grassy and only 7 feet tall just tall enough that its difficult for most to look over. At Dark Crop you get about 1 to 2 feet wide of a path with stocks maybe 9 feet tall and thick like bamboo. Your way is barely lit by tiny little lantern posts. Other places you are lucky if you feel lost in the corn, at Dark Crop you are STUCK in the corn. Actors are more into it then most places, every one of them actually had a character. And Let me mention they have a little farm stand where you purchase the tickets. In the coolers they have what I think may be some of the BEST Pumpkin Woopie Pies EVER! So that's a bonus. Dark Crop is the right price for a good little side adventure during one of your October nights. One of the best New England has to offer if you ask me.

Unfortunately, it seems to have gotten much more popular in the last year-- and with more people comes some really poorly behaved ones. Given how successful the Dark Crop has become, it would really be to their benefit to add some staff to manage the extra crowds. -We had a big problem with lots of large groups cutting in front of us. The line was already very long. Then groups of people would come join a friend in line in front of us. We came with a group of eight and waited at the entrance until everyone was ready. Other groups would send one or two "delegates" to get here early, then the rest would all come cut in line. It's annoying when one or two people do it, but when the number cutting far exceeds the number waiting? Really inappropriate. And it happened several times. The worst was a sorority/frat group that *insisted* they had called and the manager said it was ok... Then, literally over twenty people cut in front of us as more carloads arrived from campus -Family fun and long lines means lots of antsy kids. Running and screaming is one thing-- ok fine we are outside, I'll deal with it. But some big groups with bunches of kids just like totally gave up on parenting. Example: Kids climbing the apple trees and having contests to shake out the most apples. Other kids had contests trying to shine flashlights into others guests' eyeballs to make people "go blind." It was really annoying. And we had to deal with it for 90+ minutes. Those are the types of issues that could be solved by having some folks stationed at the middle at end of the line for the whole night. I know it's a small family establishment, but I really hope they can hire a few additional staff members to help manage the crowds. IDEALLY... Hold onto your horses... They'd have a system where tickets are sold by entry time. If you miss your time, you can wait in line on standby. Overall: the actors are just great and we had a really fun time. Unfortunately, we spent so much time waiting helplessly as the line grew infinitely longer in front of us... and poorly behaved kids harassed us... it was hard for us to get excited and leave happy :/

While there is no dedicated parking, with the smaller venue it was not a concern with the shared lot or street parking within a hundred yards or so of the venue. Likely not to catch big talent here, but great for local or up and coming talent to be up close and personal with the performers Great night and experience with all three tonight! The sound is crystal clear, the lights always set the mood just right, and you can actually feel how much the team cares about giving both the artists and the audience a great experience. The space is cozy without feeling crowded, and the crowd always brings good vibes. Whether it's a big touring act or one of the local bands they feature, I've never left disappointed. The bartenders are awesome, everything runs smoothly, and the atmosphere just makes every night memorable. If you're into live music, do yourself a favor and catch a show here. Check their lineup because there's always something worth seeing, and once you go, you'll definitely want to come back.

So if you go into this with the expectations that it is not going to be the same and take it for what it is, you may actually end up having a good time. Parking - $5 to park. Lots of attendants. Very organized and it was easy to find your way to the front even though they probably should've had someone telling people where to go because we had to find the entrance. It's a short distance. Entrance/Line to get in: This is the most waiting you'll do. We went on a Saturday and they had 10 lines open so it went pretty quickly. Saturday night our longest wait was an hour between checking in and getting on the hayride. After that it was only about 10 minutes or less in line at each Haunted House. They were very good at this in my opinion. Hayride: - THIS WAS AWESOME!! It was genuinely a blast, so long! Almost 20 minutes. Awesome effects, visuals, and the actors were so fun and there were tons of them! They had lots of hayrides going so the line went by quickly. Props were great, very creative. They definitely put the most amount of effort into the Hayride so our experience really started off with a bang. I would go here just for this it was a lot of fun. Colony: - This was also a lot of fun. You walk through the woods which is super creepy. Cohesive theme. My husband thought this was boring but I liked it a lot I was very entertained. Good amount of actors, great effects. Asylum: .8 - This was the creepiest of all the haunts. Some good scare moments with props that you couldn't tell if they were real or not. They definitely could have used a few more actors in this house. Really loved the theme it was genuinely fun to walk through the asylum. I got sprayed directly in the eye with toilet water which i'm sure was clean but also the idea was just disgusting (which is fun). Overall great just needed a few more actors. 3D House: - I feel bad because I'm sure a lot of time and effort went into this but it was a complete and total flop for me. Honestly a let down and a bad way to end the night. They should have quit after the first 3 and it would've been better than adding this throw away haunt. Barely any actors in the house. Only 2-3. Super short. Some of the graphics were fun but it honestly just felt like a waste of time. FOOD/DRINKS/GIFT SHOP: - This DEFINITELY needs some reworking. This is 100% a missed opportunity. You need more actors roaming here, specifically designed food and drinks you can. only get here with souvenir glasses. "Spooky" foods. If they changed this it would DRASTICALLY change the experience. You do not have access to this before you go into the haunts and i feel like this is a negative aspect because I definitely wanted a drink before we went in. (maybe that's why they don't let you lol) There's not a lot to choose from it's all fair food like fries and corn dogs and snacks.(sausages, hot dogs, fried dough, french fries, fried oreos) that's pretty much it. they have hot chocolate and cider. they do have a beer garden and the beers looked good. the gift shop is not even a gift shop it's honestly a complete joke. they really need to up their game i don't even know why they bother having this. and everything is a little on the expensive side which is to be expected but it does feel like you're getting slightly ripped off ‍ overall good experience but i'm not sure i'd make the hike to go back unless this was really close to where i lived.
