The foie gras is not something I would normally eat, but my boyfriend loves that stuff so we went with it. I enjoyed it more than he did. It was not a classic foie gras, it was smoother with a creamier texture and more buttery flavor. Eating it with the fig jam and "light as clouds" toast made it absolutely delicious! Because it's in the boonies of Westford (30 minutes from home and far from the hustle and bustle of the Market Basket area) we left early. Got there 20 minutes before noon, which was when the listing said the raffle started. A comedy of errors ensued...no idea where to go inside, tried a Members Only door to no avail, stood outside looking silly for awhile, and finally decided to enter the Hall door only to learn the raffle was actually at 1. Fortunately the beers were cheap and the members bar was open to us "outsiders" during the raffle. Looked like a good place to hang out/join if you're a local.

It can also be rented, very affordably for weddings and parties. It's in an easy to find location right off of Exit 3 on 93 and has plenty of parking. You could fit 200 people between the two rooms quite easily, one drawback is the small kitchen and bathrooms downstairs, but you should certainly look at this awesome and historical building for your next event in the area. It will be hard to be disappointed.

Had our daughter's wedding here. From the moment we stepped on the property we knew it would be a…read moremagical experience. The beverages and noshes given to the wedding party pre-ceremony started the day off just right. Guests never wanted for anything. Staff, including the accomodating bartenders, were on top of their game. And the food was phenomenal! In a gorgeous setting. The event planner had everything go so smoothly, I had no worries. Parking was right there, no need to go far (we had 1 in a wheel chair and another with a cane, and they were very pleased with the accommodations).

Although my original coordinator was on…read morematernity leave and I was not given advance notice of this, Scott and Ann stepped up to the plate and truly helped my vision come to life. We had the bridal suite in the morning with complimentary breakfast and my make up and hair stylists were impressed with how much space and natural light we had. Our ceremony space outside was beautiful and Scott and Ann ensured we started relatively on time. We were given two golf carts to go around and take photos whereever we pleased on the beautiful grounds. Many people have told us how delicious the food at the cocktail hour was and once we finished photos, we were given our own sampler platter and a drink to great us. There was one snafu with an outside bakery never delivering our cake, but Ann figured it out with the help of my bridesmaids and we still had a beautiful cake to cut. Dinner was delicious, cookies were wonderful, and the pizzas at the end were definitely appreciated. The next morning all my decorations were packaged and ready for pick up. I am so so thankful for Nashua Country Club for helping me have the wedding of my dreams!

In the past few years they have upgraded the ballroom and the entry, and it came out beautifully. However, always a constant is their personal service, presentation, and the food is excellent! In addition, their AV and sound system are excellent! (Believe me, this matters)! I have hosted large groups (up to 195) and small groups under 50. I have never been disappointed. I shall be meeting soon with Janelle to plan for a medium sized group, and perhaps later in the year another larger group. The manager, Scott Hobson is excellent at his job. The handicap ramp is in need of repairs so if you need it you may want to check it out ahead of time, loose boards, boards that bend, boards that stick up, I walked the ramp but tripped twice. Bartender was angry with my daughter for bringing in a can of seltzer water and whipped it off the table. I don't know if she thought it was alcohol but it was just a Spindrift. She didn't have an issue with others having Dunkin Donuts drinks, just the can. We didn't order any additional drinks that night, nor did we point the huge amount of desserts and pizza she packed to go from the buffet table.... Overall it is a lovely room, great parking, beautiful view and the location couldn't be better right off the highway. If you are booking a shower, birthday.. or any event, you would be foolish to not look at the Legion.

My friend went to Blue Ocean Music Hall night before last. She has #Parkinsons disease.The person…read moretaking tickets and assigning seats (40ish, brown shoulder-length hair) refused to let my friend sit in the closest open seat, because the owners or their friends "might" decide to come in and use it. She assigned my friend a seat all the way across the crowded venue. My friend asked if she could pull a chair up and sit down, and the manager told her no. In fact, one of the first things she said to my friend was, "If you're handicapped, how did you get in here?" My friend, who's in her 70s, walks with a cane and was afraid to traverse the venue in the dark, because of trip hazards. She stood on a ramp for 2 HOURS, holding onto a railing. This staff member stood 10 feet behind her. When my friend asked her for her name, she said, "I'm not going to tell you." And when my friend was leaving, this woman called after her, "Goodnight! Thanks for coming!" Little fact for you: my friend was in the music business for 30 years, and handled the biggest clients and their money when women were generally relegated to sex objects. She founded famous music venues! She put up with a lot and deserves your respect. This woman by her web image seems to be general manager. She's definitely someone who can fire people, because another staff member was afraid (!) to help my friend for fear of losing their job. Blue Ocean Music Hall, you need a new general manager. She's an ADA lawsuit waiting to happen and has no empathy, graciousness, professionalism or sense of hospitality. She behaved like a straight up bigot and has no business working with the public. Obviously, she knows this, or she would have offered her name like a professional. Do better.
