I've seen a major improvement within a week and feel assured getting into acupuncture asap is helping for a swift and hopefully full recovery. Both Charlotte and Ashley are very kind and truly care about what you're in there for - they knew about Bell's and exactly what to do. Both make you feel at home and ask the right questions. Reminded me to take a probiotic to help with medication and turmeric for inflammation. I've had a lot of acupuncture before, and I've even gone to group settings like this in the past as well. I've never had to "get over" the group setting atmosphere. Most people are sleeping, coming, or going. Everyone does their best to be quiet. Some people snore - Sorry, I know I do. They have disposable ear plugs or just use your headphones and listen to music. This is a really, really nice clinic, owned by a really, really nice person. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the business, and that the same level of care goes into your treatment. Ashley is very patient, thoughtful, and attentive. For me, feeling like I am being heard is actually one of the toughest things to find in a medical practitioner. And here, I feel at ease knowing that what I am saying is being taken into account! The space feels creative, modern, and open. The treatments are very comfortable, with blankets, earplugs, neck rolls, and a pager available to make everything as easy and relaxing as possible. Her website is really useful, and online scheduling is a very smart and helpful feature. It's very easy to find a convenient time to come in. She recommends chinese herbs, which she doesn't sell. But I think this is almost reassuring because with an old clinic I used to go to, I wasn't sure if the herbs were a ploy... In addition she recommended a pain relieving patch for my knotty muscles that I can just buy at a regular drugstore! Very helpful :) I feel very grateful to have access to thorough care, which is both easy on my finances and my schedule! This is a wonderful experience. I was skeptical at first, but now I am absolutely sold on it. The communal atmosphere makes it much less expensive. You will pay 4 to 5 times more for a private session. Although communal, Ashley gives each customer individual attention. You leave relaxed and refreshed and the acupuncture really seems to help. As a positive side effect, my golf game has improved considerably since I started sessions. Good central location. I would have never believed a group setting acupuncture could feel so safe and relaxing, but it does. I've visited Acupuncture Together twice now. It was so easy to set up an appointment online. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Madelyn. She's a very bright, sunshiny person She was very welcoming and gave me the general scoop about the blanket, chairs, bathroom, etc. I went back and settled in and Ashley worked with me. She is such a compassionate person. You can sense that she really cares about her clients. Aso other reviewers states, the process is very efficient but in a very human, caring way. I did see my symptoms begin to fade after the first treatment. I'm not 100% yet but I noticed a definite difference the next day. Ashley has been my husband's and my acupuncturist for several years now. That should tell you all you need to know, but in case it's not: We love her and swear by her expertise, ability, and intuition. Ashley's helped us with allergies, injuries, chronic and acute pain, IBS, recovery from flu and the like, Anxiety (capital "A" for me), and just general well-being. We used to live 5 miles from her office, but since moving 30 miles away, we still make the drive even though there are acupuncturists closer to us (tried a couple, but nope). We try to make it at least every couple weeks, and the affordable rates make that possible. What I'm saying is, we couldn't recommend Ashley any higher. I like this place a lot. I seldom say this a lot. I've had acupuncture done many times-over 100x probably and to be honest, I'm not sure it does anything *for me* but make those pricked spots tingle. This is one of my favorite places in Austin. If you have ever wanted to try acupuncture or want to be more consistent with your acupuncture practice, you must, must, must try this place. It's great! I am a "regular" here. And I'm continually impressed with their business practices. It is very client-centered. Recently, I scheduled an appointment with Tim for arthritis and over-use of muscles in my hand. He was amazing. Within second/minutes, I noticed a change in my hand that has been (up to this point) severely painful. He's super knowledgeable and listens to all your concerns. He makes you feel comfortable with acupuncture (or cupping if you like this. If you've never tried it, you should!). I love this place I had had private acupuncture in the past in t a private setting but was kinda scared going here and being in a room with total strangers. I love this place Ashley is amazing. I had some pain in my knee hand and lets just say lots of areas and ever since I started coming here its gradually getting better. I am getting treated for allergies I would seriously get up with a sever breathing problems and although I still have congestion I must say it was nothing like it was 2 months ago where I felt like dying in the morning. Its getting better there is soft meditation music in the background that helps you relax. First of all, I have been on Yelp for years and NEVER felt strongly enough about any business to write a review, good or bad. Until today. I have been in a wheelchair or on crutches for weeks due to a severe foot sprain. My orthopedist said recovery would be AT LEAST 3 months. My grandmother recommended acupuncture, as it helped her with a sprained foot. Well, today, after about the most relaxing hour of my life, I stood on my foot with ZERO pain. I love this place for acupuncture. I have been coming here on and off since 2012 or 2013. A very long time regardless. I have always had great experiences and have turned many others onto acupuncture by being able to bring them into this calm environment with me to quell that initial nervousness that someone may have to the process. The staff are amazing. Maxine is at the front and has been since my time there. She is terrific and very helpful. The acupuncturist is so lovely. I have actually seen 2 over the years, both lovely. They make sure you are cozy, ask what you want to work on, you have a blanket and pillow if needed, the room is at an appropriate temperature, plus the recliners go so far back to adjust to your comfort level. If you have 3 issues, they will treat them all so please just let them know. I even use it to help balance my chakras, especially around my heart center. I always leave there feeling like a million bucks and my 2 friends who went for the 1st time this week loved it so much and got so much relief, they have already booked other sessions. Don't be hesitant about being around other people in recliners as there are about 6-8 to a room with plenty of space between. I know it is a foreign experience to some but I assure you, it is very safe, so cozy and hugely therapeutic. You will leave there feeling much better than when you arrived, that I know! Oh, and almost forget, its so affordable compared to so many acupuncture places I have visited over the years in several states and these crazy cedar allergies in Texas that hit me around year 3 and honestly had me so sick, this is the place that helped me remarkably get through that when nothing else worked ( herbs, medicines, holistic concoctions lol) So nothing but praise from me on this establishment. What a wonderful find this has been. My teenage daughter was having VERY painful periods and had been on a few different birth controls to try and remedy the situation. They made her moody (more than usual for a teenager) and she gained weight which made her unhappy. We started seeing Ashley and within a short amount of time my daughter was feeling much better. She quit birth control and has been able to control the pain with Ashley's continued help and guidance. She use to miss a day or two of life each month due to cramps, throwing up, and even fainting because of the pain. My friend told me about Acupuncture Together and it has been a love at first poke sort of deal. At the time of my first visit, I had a lot of emotional stress that was effecting my digestion. Ashley was very empathetic and recommended some herbs to go along with my treatment. My stomach felt normal for the first time in months a few days after my first visit. I've continued treatment for stress, allergies, digestion, back pain and other random things and I have always found my treatments to be pleasant and helpful. I still haven't seen anyone but Ashley, but everyone I've met there is very kind. I can't recommend them enough. I brought my dad for a few treatments when he had debilitating back pain and after the first treatment he felt a major positive change.
