I have seen a dramatic reduction in my knee pain after only a few treatments with Dr. Chen. I highly recommend him.

This is my usual go-to place for a massage in Chinatown and every time it's been solid. I've had…read moreboth a foot massage and a deep tissue massage, and their masseuses are strong and get into the right knots. I came at a less busy time and got a walk-in for a deep tissue. I only had time for 30 minutes and my masseuse at the time went deep and made sure to check every one in a while to make sure I was okay with the pressure. I felt great after! Thanks again!

I booked an appointment for the same Therapist the second time and they gave me someone else who did a terrible job. She kept calling the owner and because I was complaining about the service. The owner will come in and speak to her and their language and leave the room she would start massaging again and still not doing what I asked. I kept stressing that I wanted the abdominal lymphatic massage that I had before. I ended the treatment about 15 minutes early because I was so annoyed. The owner still wanted me to pay full price but we negotiate it so that I only paid $50 during that visit. I scheduled another appointment with the original therapist that I had and I returned one week later. When I got there, the owners spoke to the therapist again and their language telling her what I wanted, however she already knew what I wanted because she said she remembered me from before. I believe the owner was still upset that I only paid $50 the last time because the service was bad. I can't speak to exactly what she advised her to do for me, but I'm sure she told her not to give me what I wanted. We went in that room and she did everything but lymphatic massage! She tried to do cupping she did extremely deep tissue on areas that I did not complain about! It was a weird day at Pain Away because there weren't any clients that I could see but there were several people there doing a bathroom renovation. There were two men in one woman who stayed outside the door while I was getting my massage so I was actually nervous about complaining. I took the awful massage that was not an abdominal lymphatic massage and I love quietly. I canceled the Gia show face massage and got it of there. I actually didn't feel comfortable complaining about anything with those employees standing outside of the door, which I had to walk past when I left the room. I had to come to the establishment over a year ago pretty often, but I will never go back again. The owner is a nasty woman who will take any complaints out on you by telling the providers not to do a good job. Wow, previous experiences had this establishment were great, my last two experiences were awful and the last one made me feel completely unsafe, and therefore, I can only give them two stars.

I requested a male therapist. Personally for me for the body massage he was a little too strong. He used a lot of elbows and each time he did that I had asked him to go softer as it hurt me too much. Someone who likes extremely deep pressure would be happy. When he used his actual hands everything was perfect. There was also a lot of rubbing over the sheet which I'm not used to. I didn't realize until I was done that all body massages are done face down with Covid going on. I understand safety precautions but if I would've known this ahead of time I definitely would not have not gotten the 60 minutes as it is too long to be face down with a mask on. The reflexology was so relaxing. I did a half hour the pressure was perfect. I almost fell asleep at that point. They also had a plastic barrier between you and the therapist. Would come back for the reflexology. Update: i originally gave 4 stars. I had to change it. my back is so sore i couldn't even sleep on it. I feel like I am bruised all under my skin. Unfortunately the pain I'm in overshadows the good things about this place. I go for massages a lot, never been this sore after one. Please don't dig your elbows into people in the future. especially when they asked you to lighten up the pressure several times.

Dr. Liu is a very decent and professional doctor who has been working in this field for 20+ years, about 12 of which was spent in China where the authentic acupuncture treatment rooted in. He is very knowledgeable about the right treatment in acupuncture. The first time I took the treatment there for a shoulder pain, he gave me acupuncture followed by sucking cups. When I left the office, my shoulder feels like a new one! So I started continuous treatment there since then. I later learned that his acupuncture does not just cure pain, but also help with sleeping difficulties, even pollen allergy! I slept better when he gave me a few needles treatment on my head! This is really amazing acupuncture office. He is very busy and I feel lucky that I can find a Chinese doctor who really understand what a real acupuncture is. His office is very quiet and comfortable and clean. All in all I highly recommend it. If you go there you might want to try the massage/Tuina treatment which works too.
