Alma Vet Connection has completely changed the way I view veterinary care…read more My dog Mia is extremely timid and anxious, especially when separated from me. Alma's open-concept, fear-free environment allows me to stay with her for all services in any area of the hospital, which has made a huge difference in her comfort and trust. Dr. Steers always takes her time, never rushes appointments, and treats Mia with incredible patience and compassion. The entire team is experienced, gentle, and so thoughtful -- always offering treats and handling her with care. I always feel heard, respected, and supported by everyone there. My other dog, Ranger, had cancer, and Alma's integrative approach has been amazing for him. He receives monthly ozone treatments to support his immune system and help manage his allergies, and the improvement in his overall comfort and quality of life has been remarkable. Alma Vet Connection truly cares about both pets and their owners. The compassion, experience, and individualized care from Dr. Steers and the entire team are unmatched. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else.

If you…read moreare looking for a caring knowledgeable Vet with attentive and supportive staff you've found the best place! Dr. Steer Spent so much time with us, not only examining puppy Quinn, but she read over a thousand pages of reports and notes from his other vet's! Really who does that! Dr. Steers does! The office is spotless, a bit tricky getting there but once you get there it's a welcoming environment.A very personal experience-you didn't feel like a number just waiting for your turn.. Natalie, one of her Vet techs, spent a-lot of time reviewing my concerns and taking notes. Being briefed on any updates Dr. Steers came in and immediately sat on the floor making my Puppy Quinn feel very comfortable and calming him down. I was amazed. She understood his complex history and began a thorough examination. Amazing ! Genuinely a caring and knowledgeable Veterinarian! Touching upon his many issues and health concerns she presented treatment options based on healthy priorities. A lot for us to discuss and consider how to proceed. Whatever we decide to do, the experience was comforting and reassuring. Within an hour of leaving, I received a follow up voicemail from the Doctor and a detailed email documenting her observations and opinions. I highly recommend Dr Steers and her amazing support staff! Thank you so much for caring!

Dr K is amazing, Dr love cared for my mothers giant rabbits for ages and looong ago we brought my…read morechildhood pets to this office before the previous vet retired. I see a lot of reviews calling this place dumpy, I disagree. In fact it's a very cool little building in a lush little lot. Interior may be dated but I think it's actually very cool that it maintains its original vintage look. I suspect lots of these negative reviewers are either very stuck up or think 'new means better.' Whose to say except that it has never smelled badly in the +/- 25 years I've been a client and I have always received caring and complete care here. I currently take my 16 year old ABD here for pain management (no surprise a big dog like her has joints like rusty hinges at this age) and not only did Dr K take time to listen to ALL of my concerns after a decade of not seeing my pet, he changed her prescription to two new pills that work twice as well as my previous medication for half the cost! Price was less than I paid at that excuse of an office they call Banfield and the care was so much more considerate and complete. In short, a good vet is hard to find and my experience has been wonderful so I would recommend anybody looking for a dedicated vet who will remember their pets to give them a chance! P.S. Dr K works with local rescues and does a lot to save the lives of neglected and abused rescue animals, I find it very hard to believe the picture some of these negative reviewers paint of his character. He has always been very warm, kind, and even a little funny for all my visits!

After we dropped off our dog off at 9am to do a surgery that was already done and had to be redone,…read morethey didn't actually do it until almost 4:00. The doctor seemed nice but made it seem like the surgery wasn't necessary--but why did he do it then if it wasn't? He should've called and said he felt it wasn't necessary. I would never force a doctor to do an unnerve surgery. Then they bring the dog out (it's now 5:00) and he's completely drugged up and unable to properly walk. We used this vet because he did the original surgery before we adopted our dog. But our vet always does surgeries in the morning to monitor them all day so when they go home they capable of walking and safe. We also found out they didn't give him any pain meds or anything to help keep him calm post surgery from the emergency vet we had to bring him to after his cone came off in the middle of the night since they didn't secure it properly and he rubbed his eye. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this place and I regret bringing him back to do the surgery. ETA: the cherry came back! I read the surgery has a 92% success rate. This vet did the surgery TWICE and FAILED. Do not go to this vet. You will regret it.

I guarantee you they will kill your pet. The reviews here are true…read more ACCESS failed my pet and they will fail yours too. My cat had CKD and was treated very well at VEG. Then I took her to Access for additional care as a primary and they were difficult. Her values worsted at ACCESS. They inserted a feeding tube in her and when I slowly became aware of their unhygienic practices (caged pets, urine in blankets unchanged for 2-3 days, food in water bowl, difficult front desk staff) I immediately wrote a negative review for people out there. They immediately shut off all care for my cat including all prescription medications as a way to punish my cat to send a strong response to my negative review. They delayed releasing medical records so no other emergency vet could immediately treat her and no primary could prescribe her medications in time. She was in critical condition when they abruptly cut of service. They left me without feeding syringe to take home and give food through the tube. I had to go to an emergency to get tubes and meds. I contacted many hospitals across Florida and they were not shocked about Access as they are aware of them being difficult. Her condition got worse and so I took her back to VEG and they ran blood work. Turns out my cat had astronomically high values for white blood cells and very low platelets. Access did not run the full blood work to catch any of this. She got internal bleeding and sever infection from being at Access cages and overall poor / unsanitary conditions. Her blood work was never done to catch any of this. They only ran 2-3 values while ignoring full comprehensive care. Her blood work looked great on the 26th of April when she left VEG and just within a month of care at Access she was as good as gone. Plateles so low that additional testing at other clinics would put her at risk for more clots and bleeding. I assure you that no care is better care than Access.
