Low and behold the wood edging behind my old gutters was all rotted. They removed the rotted wood and installed the flashing and gutters directly on the plywood of the house, which they assured me was actually better than replacing the wood edging. There wasn't a downpour yesterday but everything worked as it should and I no longer had the three spots where I was getting overflow onto my patio and garden beds. This contractor does not have a license, and he lies about his capabilities. He provides low estimates to secure the job but continually adds costs and requests more payment. His work is unprofessional, and his ethics are questionable. He frequently shows up late, is often absent from the site, and sends someone else who only works for 2-3 hours a day. The promises he made were not fulfilled: He only partially leveled the field, promising to finish when preparing the sub-base for the artificial turf. He dug only half of the trench. He never installed the drainage system or grass. Usually, you pay for work completed, but this contractor demands payment upfront. If things go wrong, you will lose your money. Overall, his unprofessionalism and unreliability are not worth the hassle. Look elsewhere for your landscaping needs. Just so you know, this contractor scammed me out of $4300 for the work shown in the pictures. He lied, made falae promises, and said anything he could to get the money upfront. I hired Houston Roofing and Construction to install a full roof four years ago. The roof itself…read moredoes not leak, but I can't say more than that. I will not be using them again. During the installation, they caused severe damage to my front yard, including destroying a rare and expensive Japanese maple tree. Their method of "protecting" plants was just throwing a tarp over them, which did nothing to shield them from falling shingles and tools. A three-story ladder fell on my shrubs, damaging several, and worse -- it also fell onto my brand-new AC unit, bending the top grill. Since then, the ventilator has been rotating only millimeters away from the edge on one side, at risk of scraping. On top of that, there were permit issues. It took multiple emails and calls from me -- both to the company and the permit office -- to get it straightened out. They tried to tell me that "approval of the drawings" was the same as having the permit approved, which was not true. The confusion dragged out the inspection process unnecessarily. They never offered to fix or compensate for any of the damage. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend them.
