I needed their service after my house foundation was lifted to cover two huge holes in front of my main house entry. They told me the bricks by my main door are no longer available, but they will do their best to find a good match. I was blown away by how fantastic a job they did. I highly recommend Brick Restoration. I had them removed a brick arch on my patio which was also a load bearing wall for my roof. They essentially raised it and had to rebrick some of the roofline. The whole process was quite professional. They told me what they did and did not cover and what to expect. When the team came out to do the work they were so careful and made a point to clean up every evening. They brick work looks fantastic. I do not recommend this company. They did not complete the work, even after multiple, multiple attempts on my part to get a resolution. Lots of unreturned phone calls to my rep, to the front office, to anyone who would pick up. This has been going on for 11 months. Yes, we had the derecho and a hurricane that kept them busy with larger projects, but the run around I've received is infuriating. I've seriously been calling, asking them to finish so I can pay the balance. So finally last week they come out when I'm not home, then tell me it's an additional $395 to fix the rest of the job. I'll pay my balance because I'm not trying to get anything for free, but I'll never use them again and I would not encourage anyone else to use them. read more

Had a great experience with BRI this week. We had some concrete Levelled and the company recommended BRI to repair the cracked, broken, and otherwise unLevelled bricks on our property. They did a great job pressure washing, mortaring, replacing, matching, and overall just making our brickwork look better than when we even bought the house years ago! I included some before and after pictures here, I highly recommend BRI for any masonry you need done! The pictures are a smidge misleading as most my bricks are 34 years old and the new ones haven't been exposed to quite as much mud and dirt so they are still a brighter red! Before the actual job, the quote was easy, I thought the pricing was reasonable, staff were professional and responsive. It was a great experience from start to finish! read more

Just had a very disappointing experience with this company. I would not recommend using them. They quoted me on a project months ago, but could never get to it. I asked for follow up numerous times over a period of months and often did not get a clear answer, sometimes not any follow up at all, and was often passed around to different people. At one point, one of their service people came to my house to look at the job, then went to make a phone call and simply left. Didn't hear from anyone at the company after that. After months of wasting time with Brick Restoration I found another local business that wanted the job and they got it done in 48 hours. It was a very pleasant and refreshing experience after spinning my wheels with Brick Restoration for 3+ months. Five stars are based on the finished project, which is exactly the bricked-in alley and side walk that I wanted. There were a couple of miscommunications between the company and the masons about what the contract included... which had me very concerned for a moment... and, I was told that I paid too much. We had them come out 3 years ago to give us an estimate to do a slurry wash on our home, but other projects took priority and we just never got around to getting the brick done. Fast forward to this week and I had them come out to give us an updated quote for the exact same job. I expected a slight increase in price but the estimate came back almost $8,000 more. For the EXACT. SAME. JOB. I can't decide if this is more dishonest or tacky. I can't say anything about their work because we will never work with them no matter how good their reviews are. There is too much competition out there for a company that has gotten too big for their britches, so to speak. *Update* Initially after reading the owner's public reply (and private message asking me to alter my review) I had no desire to respond, but now I feel so validated in my choice to go with another company that I felt others should know what they could be getting into with BRI. First of all, apologizing to someone for "getting a bad impression of your company" is well, tacky. Just own the fact that you got caught price gouging. Secondly, no shame in the financing game but to insinuate that we can't afford the job is EXTRA tacky. For this kind of job we don't need financing, we need an honest company that doesn't blatantly overcharge. As a business owner myself I understand pricing changes, BUT more importantly I understand taking care of people/doing the right thing. Charging someone $8,000 more to do the same job previously quoted will just not ever make sense. So, instead of working with a potential client on price (they would not budge at all) they lost a client altogether. We got several bids from other reputable companies in the area and none came close to the outrageous price they quoted. I would not recommend this company. This job was small compared to prior job they did. Salesman agreed they dropped the ball on the correct bricks. The day of delivery they cracked my driveway in four different places. It took weeks for owner to call me back. She calls to tell me maybe I didn't have my driveway built with rebar and that she drives a Land Rove. Tgey want to stain the current bricks or charge me additional money to tear out and redo. Ryan is kind but the work is not complete. Now the solution is to caulk the opening. The quote versus what was done was different. Workmanship is a 2/5. I am really disappointed overall and would not recommend BRI. I waited to complete the review because they came back out last week to acknowledge the work was not done correctly and I have not heard a word since. I cannot say how happy we are with our paver walkway and patio in our backyard and how Brick Restoration redid our long flagstone walkway on the side of our house. I wish we had hired them originally the first time we did the flagstone walkway. For the backyard patio we picked a pattern that wasn't listed and I wanted pavers in a small format because the area I covered in my backyard was actually small and they made that happen as well by cutting some of the pavers. I spent 15 years trying to get grass, moss, and other things to grow in that space so I didn't have a mud pit. I only wish I had contacted them sooner to build the patio as it looks amazing. They checked throughout the process to make sure I was happy with what they were doing and that we were all on the same page. They kept me updated. They were fine when we asked to make some changes. They were on time, totally professional and cleaned up afterwards. They were higher priced than my other bids but I asked for detailed bids and it was obvious in the other bids why they were cheaper. I hired this company to repair some minor mortar cracks in my porch way. Initially I was impressed with the results, the mortar was a perfect match and the repair was not noticeable to the untrained eye. However, less than 2 years later the crack has reappeared in the exact same location and sadly their repairs are only warranted for 12 months. I now have to decide wether I want to spend another $450 to make the same repair. read more

This week Brick Restoration came to our house to remove white slurry staining from the firebrick in our outdoor fireplace. The guys showed up on time and did a fantastic job. They first had to remove the bricks in order to have the substructure repaired. They then put the bricks back and matched the color. Waterproofing was a nice touch. The price was more than fair. The job looks great. Now, why the 4 star. They had missed several schedules appointments and attempted to show up same day with 30 minutes notice. Everyone has a schedule and that's why we make appointments. Finally came out three months later only to say they needed to re-quote higher and come back with different materials. Never heard from them again. Why quote on a job you don't want? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, BRICK RESTORATION. My husband and I had a terrible experience in Nov 2022. We had a pea gravel sidewalk replaced, and a brick landing added instead of the current pea gravel by the front door. We also had a few brick repairs done around the house. The new concrete sidewalk is ok, but they left trenches on each side that we have to fill with top soil. Also, we are still finding chunks of concrete and pea gravel in the grass areas next to the sidewalk. The brick landing that they added over the existing pea gravel was not great and our front door was very difficult to open and close--almost impossible with the scratching and scraping. The salesman returned and damaged the bottom of the door in the process of trying to fix it so that we could open and close the door properly. After that fix and 3 new damaged areas to the bottom of the door by the salesman, they had the brick man come back and redo a row of bricks right by the door. Then the door was left with a half inch gap at the bottom (wind, air, grit blowing under the door) and the 3 damaged areas to the bottom of the door that were actually done by the Salesman. The Salesman actually implied that I was lying and the damage to the bottom of our door must have already been there. I do have pictures showing that the door was not damaged before the start of the work. The company had a man come and fix the damaged door and the gap, but it still shows damage--the fix was not great. He did put something on the bottom so the half inch gap is gone. The door is still difficult to open and close. That's all they plan to do. The President of the company asked me to send pictures of the final repairs; I did and no response from her about how awful the door was fixed, or anything else. Also, they poured gasoline on a couple of areas of grass while filling an instrument, killing that grass. They also left a water faucet on the side of our house open. We found out when almost 24 hours later, we got an alert from Eye On Water, showing that we had a leak. We searched and found that the faucet they were using was left on. No compensation for that lost water, or an apology. While doing one of the brick repairs they threw trash in a flower bed and left it there for me to pick up. They state that they are not responsible for damage to sprinkler systems, but they did repair a totally broken water line for the system. Right now, there are 2 buried sprinkler heads that we need to find before turning the sprinkler back on in the spring. Maybe when we fill up the trenches along the new sidewalk with top soil we will find them. Our house has two different bricks colors/styles and the salesman found a match. It's wasn't perfect, but we agreed. It doesn't look very good and the salesman should have had enough experience to suggest that we should not use the brick available because it wouldn't be the best match. So, after an almost $10,000 job, we have an ugly "finished" project. Five years ago we had "Restore Your Door" do a restoration/restain/repair some broken glass job on our door and the door was beautiful. Now.....damaged on the bottom and difficult to open and close and Brick Restoration doesn't care at all! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Went with Brick Restoration because of the great reviews. The work looked great, but I found out before the year was up, it was not. Chimney crown was hit while the tree trimmers were working. The crown shattered and pieces came off. Had a chimney company come out and inspect, they were surprised by the mixture that was used. Not suitable for a crown. And, I was told there was no coating applied either. Crowns built with the right mixture would not have been damaged to this extent. Money down the drain. Now I have to spend more money to repair again. I contacted the company, about a refund for that part of the work, but have not heard back from them. So, if you need a chimney crown fixed, find someone else. read more

They power washed all the brick, chipped out areas, filled in many, many small holes, repaired several areas and sprayed a clear sealer. If I had not watched them do part of the clear sealer spray, I would never know it had been done. It's perfect as far as I can see. I had a 2 man crew and they worked non-stop. Very nice guys. The ladies in the office were great, too. Very knowledgeable. To be honest, I did call another company, too, because I had no clue what to expect regarding price, but they never bothered to return my call. The ladies at BRI called me back the same day. I got four quotes on several masonry related jobs I needed done at my house, including ridding the front of my home of mildew stains in the brick from years of neglect, fixing small cracks along the bricks around the chimney, and repairing my back stone porch which had cracks and holes and the sides were falling off. Brick Restoration's price quote was in the middle of the four, but they had come by recommendation of someone I knew (who is a home builder), and they offered a warranty on the work, so I chose them to do the work. I could not be happier with the outcome or the company, and I would recommend them to anyone! The front of my house looks new, and other contractors told me not to expect that all the stain could be removed. (Including one guy whose estimate was DOUBLE what Brick Restoration charged me!) The workers arrived exactly on time, and were hard at work the entire time. It only took one day.
