Book your cosmetic procedure with Dr. Schaffner, you won't regret it! He is a remarkably talented surgeon with a great eye - I could not be happier with my results. When I first stepped into his office for my Bilateral Breast Augmentation consultation, he was very welcoming but also direct and concise. He answered my (many) questions with patience, had great bedside manner and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Schaffner includes Cristalix 3D imaging in his consultation which made my decision about size much easier. Not to mention, the imaging ended up being remarkably accurate to my end result. For reference, I'm 5'4, 122 lbs with an athletic build and wanted a very natural look. Before surgery, I was a 32A, and ended up going with Smooth Round Moderate Plus in 285 CCs. I'm now a very natural 32C. Dr. Schaffner was incredibly thorough, and made sure I was well informed and prepared for the procedure by checking in regularly the weeks leading up to surgery. He and his entire team called me the night before too which helped ease my nerves. The procedure itself went perfectly. I'd heard horror stories about recovery, but under Dr. Schaffner's care, I felt fine! I had my surgery on Thursday, rested through the weekend (taking all medication as directed) and was back to work on Monday. In the weeks to follow between my post-op appointments, Dr. Schaffner made himself available via call or text message for any questions I had during the healing process. We originally found Dr Schaffner for my wife, she had a basal cell on her upper lip and we needed the best of the best to close the MOHS wound without scaring. Our search for the best led us to Dr S. He did a wonderful job on my wife, and about a month after her procedure; I was diagnosed with a basal cell right on the top of my head. The wound from the MOHS ended up about the size of a quarter, and because it was the top/center of my scalp it presented unique challenges (likely difficulties for lesser surgeons). The scalp is not elastic like skin on most parts of the body. the blood supply and nerves are less dense at the center of the scalp making healing or wound failure a potential issue. Thank GOD we did our homework earlier and found Dr S! The man is an artiste! He managed to close a very complicated wound, and now, roughly three months after the procedure; you'd never know it was there in the first place. Dr Schaffner is a very 'hands on' Dr, he called me multiple times to explain things he was doing. He called to check up on me after my procedure. This is rare, many Drs rely on staff for such tasks. Speaking of staff Dr Schaffner's is fantastic, especially Bradford! If you need a Plastic surgeon look no further, you'll do no better if you search for a hundred years. It took me many years, actually decades, to find the right plastic surgeon whom I could trust to re-do my breasts. I found that surgeon when I found Dr Schaffner. I had 4 prior surgeries under my belt which left me with every bad result from capsular contraction, bad scarring and finally one surgeon putting in larger ( then desired) implants to attempt a lift. At this point I was very leary of going through another breast surgery. I did my homework and interviewed several doctors that are considered Top Doctors; and found Dr Schnaffer to have excellent training, to be extremely meticulous and detail oriented. He conveyed a sincerity and warmth that was lacking in the other doctors I interviewed. I had a breast lift and augmentation four weeks ago and I could not be happier. I went to two other plastic surgeons who both told me that they could not do the surgery without giving me a lollipop scar, which I really did not want. I discussed this with Dr. Schaffner and after a thorough exam which included taking measurements, he said that he would be able to do it with just a donut scar around my aerola and underneath the breast, which was exactly what I wanted. The other doctors wouldn't even consider it. I am so happy with the results. I cannot imagine it turning out any better. The day after surgery I got a rash all over my arms and legs which was an allergic reaction to medication which nobody could have predicted. Dr. Schaffner was amazing in seeing me through this. Dr. Schaffner is absolutely the finest surgeon that I have ever worked with in my life. I had breast reduction surgery in New York on June 10th, 2019, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the result. I went to Dr. Schaffner to get the implants which i had done 20 years prior by another surgeon replaced. I had a very thorough consultation with him, he spent a lot of time trying to understand the details of my previous surgery, what i wanted out of this procedure and gave me all the facts about my specific situation. He did 3D imaging, measurements, and is truly the most detailed and informative doctor i have ever been to. Post surgery and i am thrilled with my results! He manages to be professional and familiar and to be accessible all the time. Clearly he is enormnously praised but he maintains a humility that allowed my daughter to speak to him with ease. As for his work, it is impeccable. My daughter had a breast reduction surgery and I will say that he has changed her entire bearing and life. she was low and depressed and not a lively girl. Dr. Schaffner is a good man. He is caring, compassionate, kind, patient, and I am so grateful to him. I was referred to him through a dermatologist who said he was great. I met with him, and he was the ONLY doctor I met with who suggested I have a CT scan to determine the extent of my deviated septum. When the results came back, he contact me to let me know that he felt he was not the best surgeon for the job. This is what integrity looks like. He actually then helped me find another surgeon whose expertise was more in line with the work I would ultimately need.
