Unprofessional and questionable business practice. Called specifically to have undereye filler dissolved. I was quoted a $750 consult fee even though I was told the procedure itself would only be $650. The receptionist explained that I was paying "for the doctor's time." Even though it is ridiculous to charge a higher fee for a consult than the actual procedure, I agreed and tried to set up an appointment. I explained that I was getting this done prior to having other surgery (performed by another doctor). The receptionist then told me that because I was having surgery, the cost would now be $1,000. I asked why and whether the doctor would be doing anything differently. No I was told, but "those are our fees." Needless to say I ended the call and am looking elsewhere. I don't appreciate being uncharged and taken advantage of for no logical reason. read more

I like Dr. Schwarcz and think he really does care about his patients being happy with their results. That being said, he is not skilled with face/neck lifts. Mine was done several years ago and I have had to learn to live with the results. My neck is worse than before the surgery (the primary reason I did surgery), the sides of my face are uneven and my smile slightly crooked. To be fair, other than my neck I don't think most people would notice the other defects. The neck though is quite noticeable. But he did a good job on my eyes giving me more upper lid than I believe I ever had. The lower part is decent. The fat didn't take in one area and now I need to have that filled to avoid it looking hollow. I blame myself for the bad results. I made the choice to use him. I found him on the internet with good reviews hence the reason for this review. I know he didn't want the results to be bad and he did try to fix it but that made it worse. Use him for your eyes. Go elsewhere for a facelift. read more

He is not skillful of doing filler. He did in a rush with no careful pre design of anatomy of the patient face. The injection caused two sides of my face cheek asymmetric. One side had more. I would never recommend anyone to go to him for fillers. Because the first thing out of his mouth is he can't do tear trough. I see no improvement of my face other than added swollen asymmetry of one side after his rush filler. read more

The doctor came highly recommended by a friend. I called the office a few times to make an appointment. The first time there was no answer. The second time someone hung up on me. I called using another number and got hung up on again. Question for the office- Do you actually talk to potential customers? Are you interested in getting new patients? I am posting the below comment to several web sites. The reason being is because i know how it is to research a doctor and how valuable comments are because i too use comments from others to help me come to a decision. I don't normally post comments online but i was so impress with my consultation that i was compelled to go online and leave this comment. My mother and I had seen Dr Schwarcz for a consultation regarding bags under the eyes. I am very big on customer service and I must say that I had an awesome experience from the front desk to the actual examining room. I felt at ease with the Dr Schwarcz. He took his time examining my eyes explaining what procedure was necessary. Turns out that he determine that i don't need surgery, that what i was experiencing was natural and told me some natural remedies and elevation should relieve the problem . I was very impress with that prognosis. From that moment I new Dr Schawarcz was not about the money like some practices are, but the well being and safety of his patients. Even though i did not need surgery i believe he provided me with the best outcome for my situation which was not to have surgery. read more

I went to a lot effort of organising a skype consultation with Dr Schwarcz at 1am my time, after research and another doctor mentioning him to me. During the consult he kept talking up fat grafting when I was interested in cheek implants, and he seemed to lack a sense of caring and interest in my case which included a surgical revision of a second degree burn from my forehead. And after all this he emailed me to say he doesn't have enough experience with cheek implants and suggested some doctors that do it on a more regular basis. Why advertise them then? Conclusion: Don't consult with Dr Schwarcz if you are interested in facial implants, or you want an empathetic doctor. You will be disappointed. read more

She put me completely at ease, gave me a great assessment of what would be best and did the work so fast! I think I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and I am very pleased with the results. I cannot say enough about Dr. Robert Schwarcz! I had a very complicated eye situation, which I wanted to fix, in addition to a lower face and neck lift. I met with several top Docs in NYC. This was not my first cosmetic procedure and I wanted to make sure I found the right doctor . This led me to Dr. Schwarcz. He is an occuloplastic surgeon which means that he has additional certification specializing in eyes, in addition to be a board certified cosmetic surgeon. I did not want a general plastic surgeon; I wanted a specialiast in both eyes and face. From the first 5 minutes with him, I knew he was the right choice for me. He shared with me several different options and ideas about how to go about my surgery. Most importantly, he listened to what I wanted to achieve. He wanted me to be happy with the results. His bedside manner is warm,attentive, and comforting. He took all the time I needed discussing and figuring out my operative plan. He also called me back immediately in the weeks prior the surgery when I had questions . Many doctors can be very cold and rushed to say the least. You can feel like you are on a conveyer belt of patients. Dr. Schwarcz is the exact opposite. He truly cares about his patients. He has his own surgical suite at his office and his nurse and Anesthesiologist were both equally kind and caring. Anything I was nervous about ,they talked me through. Dr, Schwarcz gives you the option of twilight or general anesthesia. I woke up easily, without nausea ,took the ride home with no pain and was able to sleep that night. It could not have gone better or easier!. I have never ever had a surgery go this painless and this hassle free. I was expecting and was prepared to wake in pain, and suffer at least for the first few days.. but there was no suffering! My bruising was very minimal, even though I had a lot of work done.Today is two weeks , and I already am looking great. I asked Dr. Schwarcz why I have never had this easy of a recovery from past surgeries; and he explained his technique of being very gentle with the tissue while operating. His technique is easier on the patient, lowers the pain, and speeds the recovery. It certainly did In my case. I was expecting to be a mess for over a month! I had a post op today, and we decided I needed a slight adjustment to one of my lids in a few months when the work on my eyes settles in. This was to be expected because of the complicated nature of the surgery on my eyes. He did not for one second let me worry or stress out about the adjustment. He said "We'll just adjust that in a few months" no problem. He wants his patients to leave his office with their best results possible. I cannot say enough about Dr. Schwarcz ,but if you are reading this, you have come to the right place! Please feel free to ask him to talk to me in person if you have any questions! My daughter chose Robert Schwarcz, MD to inject filler in her tear troughs because she felt confident in his proclaimed abilities and qualifications. He seemed to be rushed during her appointment. The resulting filler is lumpy and looks blue. It appears to me that he injected my daughter with filler in a costly, careless, hasty manner. RS seems to be uncaring about his patients or the quality of his work. I cannot imagine how this filler went so wrong. I get tear trough filler myself as do many of my friends and colleagues and I have never seen results like this. It's astonishing to me that he injects faces, takes money, has no regret over poor quality work yet has a full Instagram account appearing to be an expert in filler. I do not recommend. read more

I've had tear trough filler done twice before, the last time was just one year ago in LA. I don't know what happened this time, but I look worse now than I did before Dr. Schwarcz did the filler. The filler appears as an obvious ridge at the junction of my cheek and undereye near the nose and has created the appearance of a dark divot under each eye. I'm blown away at the result as my previous experiences with filler have been amazing. When I went back for a follow-up I was told the result is due to me having deep-set eyes and the color/thinness of my skin (this wasn't an issue just one year ago when my filler was done flawlessly by another oculoplastic surgeon). When I asked for before and after pictures I was provided with blurry, low-quality print-outs. Brought them to another doctor for a second opinion and he thought the after was the before and suggested dissolving the filler for the eye that has the worse ridge. Not happy. Will go back to my doctor in LA next time. read more

I had Moe's surgery on the tip of my nose. Dr. Schwarcz is the surgeon who did the plastic surgery. I could not be happier with the results and would recommend him and his staff to anyone and everyone. I am not a stranger to plastic surgery on my face having had my orbital bone smashed many years ago. I was quite nervous. After all, having 20% of the tip of your nose removed could, in the end, no pun intended, be quite visible. It isn't. One would never notice or guess. He did a fabulous job. Love his staff. I cannot recommend Dr. Schwarcz highly enough. His credentials are very impressive, but his results are way better. My daughter took a bad spill, splitting her chin and severing nerves and muscles in her face. The hospital told us that she was at risk of never smiling again. Dr. Schwarcz explained that it would all be repairable, but that it would take some time. He worked diligently on my daughter for almost two hours; she was terrified but his kind manner and patient care got her through. Not only was her muscular function (and smile) completely restored, but her scar is so minimal that it looks like we will not have to have the scar reduction procedure that we had planned. We are so grateful to him that it brings tears to my eyes! Since then, we have made a number of referrals to Dr. Schwarcz. This was my first visit to Robert Schwarcz' office and I was looking forward to it after all the positive reviews that I had read. After filling out some initial paperwork, I was greeted by Leanne who performed the Botox procedure on my forehead and also addressed a small area around my eyes which I was having concerns with. Leanne has an incredibly comforting nature about her and immediately put any nerves at ease. She also knew how to tailor her approach to my needs specifically to ensure that the results would be natural. I have to change my rating, unfortunately the quality of work by this doctor has really changed. He now barely spends any time with me, gets annoyed when I ask a question, and his work is rushed. He posts lots of images on his social media where he talks about how he takes his time to measure and analyze the patient's facial structure before suggesting treatment, that he measures and marks the face before injecting, etc. It's so phony because he has never done this with me even though he can tell I know what I want and expect good work. He's not caring at all. After the first two times I came in he began rushing through the appointments- very fast with the undereye filler, as well as lip filler. He didn't pay attention to the details that I noticed and that a good doctor would. I asked for lip filler and he put filler only in the top middle which looked unnatural . I ended up with a lump in my lip, and in my undereye area had several lumps that needed to be dissolved. Three weeks after having the area treated the dark circles came back, as if nothing had been done. If you want someone attentive and who takes pride in their work this is not the place. Maybe less time trying to get new clients through Instagram and more time with your existing clients who are putting their face and money in his hands! read more

I came in a year ago to see Dr Schwarcz for under eye-filler using Restylane. I had to repair a botched job from a medi-spa and fill in the hollows under my eyes. I have gotten this procedure 4 times already and NOBODY comes close to the work that Dr. Schwarcz performs. My eyes still look flawless a year later. He is an expert in the eye area (he's also an oculoplastic surgeon) and just understands aesthetics and beauty and is very meticulous. He has a great bedside manner, and is not condescending like some other arrogant and incompetent plastic surgeons I have come across. You an just tell he is a great guy. My experience with this doctor was horrible. I strongly recommend that you go over each and every point of the consent that he will ask you to sign before the procedure and ask him to explain them to you. He simply does not seem to be very experienced with under eye treatments. If you don't believe me, just watch a few YouTube videos for demonstrations of the techniques used in under eye injections and then go to this doctor to experience the difference: Instead of being extremely gentle with the needle after he inserts it in your skin, he moves it around a lot and in doing so destroys your existing collagen. read more
