To this practices patients, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the unprofessional and dismissive behavior I have experienced from the "office staff" at Dr. Clark's practice. While I am grateful for the care provided by Dr. Clark, the conduct of the office staff has been unacceptable and has negatively impacted my overall experience as a patient. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed and personally experienced rude and disrespectful interactions with the office staff. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to address patient concerns have created an unpleasant and unwelcoming environment. Specifically, I was appalled to overhear a staff member responding sarcastically to a patient who was questioning a bill item. Such behavior is unprofessional and disrespectful, and it should not be tolerated in a medical setting. Furthermore, when I attempted to inquire about preauthorization for my medication, I was met with misinformation and disregard for my urgent need. The staff insisted that they do not handle preauthorizations, yet they were quick to preauthorize codes to ensure payment from my insurance. This inconsistency and lack of transparency are concerning. When my insurance company tried to contact the office [documented] to discuss the preauthorization, they were left on hold for an unacceptable amount of time and were disregarded just like I was as a patient in extreme pain. I have a black eye, swollen face, and pain level at an 8 and you stand by you don't preauthorize pain meds when insurance is calling to gain it??? Then why write the prescription at all? Both pharmacy and insurance tried several times and was put on indefinite hold. This lack of responsiveness demonstrates a lack of regard for both patients and insurance providers. As a patient suffering from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a condition that causes severe pain, I am deeply disappointed that the office staff's actions have delayed my access to medication. Their negligence has exacerbated my pain and caused unnecessary stress. While I appreciate Dr. Clark's medical expertise, the unprofessional conduct of the office staff has overshadowed my overall experience. I strongly urge you to address these issues and provide appropriate training to ensure that patients are treated with respect, empathy, and professionalism. I'm very apprehensive and have all the confidence in Dr. CLARK, just not this staff. I am glad to leave this practice and have already done so. read more

I recently had a tooth extraction performed by Dr. Clark. Besides my anxiety that I have over tooth extractions, this experience was awesome!! Dr. Clark was very caring, welcoming, and supportive. Like Dr. Clark, everyone of his staff was very caring. I opted for the IV instead of local method so that I couldn't hear anything or taste anything. Dr. Clark had no difficulty finding my vein, even used a cold spray to help the vein expose itself. Before I knew it, I was awake and the tooth was gone. Perfect! Last year I had a terrible experience with another Oral Surgeon in Orange County. This Oral Surgeon has a "nurse" who couldn't find my vein and took 6 pokes at my arm and finally got the doctor. The doctor came in and stabbed my hand! He left an enormous bruise. He seemed like he was in one big hurry!! Anyhow, I enjoyed my time with Dr. Clark. In July my son removed all four wisdom teeth. Two were impacted. The office called the night before to remind us of the pre-op instructions. It was great to get a refresher and questions answered. Surgery day was smooth. The office was comfortable, clean and nice looking. They even had drinks for waiting family. Surgery outcome was perfect. They throughly went over post op directions. My son followed all directions and his recovery time was faster than expected. Surgery success! My 13 YO just had two teeth pulled earlier this week for a different reason. Dr.Clark was recommended to me by my cousin who happens to be a dentist in Florida. Naturally, after her recommendation I felt comfortable going to him for the removal of a growth in my mouth. From the moment I spoke with him on a virtual visit to the time of my procedure I was very pleased. He took time to explain everything, answered all my questions and called me back immediately after hours when I was worried about some bleeding I was having. His whole staff is very friendly and efficient. Melissa took care of everything that needed to be done prior to my exam and communicating with me can be difficult due to my work schedule. I was told by my regular dentist that I needed to have a wisdom tooth removed after it started causing me problems. Being petrified to have the surgery done, I naturally put it off for as long as I could. Had I known the experience I was going to have, I would have had it removed much sooner. This office is great. From the moment you call and talk to Anna, you know you're in good hands. Thanks to me not doing what I was supposed to do and delaying my treatment, my mouth and neck had become swollen which freaked me out. Anna was able to get me a consultation the following afternoon and Melissa was able to schedule the surgery the following week. During the consultation and surgery Dr. Clark and Sarah took great care of me, answering all my questions and making sure I was comfortable. They gave me a fun (amazing) combination of sedatives, cranked on some tunes, and yanked that troublesome wisdom tooth out without any problem. Melissa took the time to break down the cost with an itemized list and made sure to answer all of my questions. Let me just say, the cost was much less than I anticipated. You're not going to find a better price anywhere. Dr. Clark, Melissa, and Sarah also did a great job of relieving my anxiety about the surgery. Well, it is 3:32 a.m. and I am writing this review for Dr. Clark and his office. My wife shows up on this yelp reviews name, but it is me, (her husband Steve), who had care from Dr. Clark. The reason that I am writing this review in the middle of the night, is because I had my wisdom tooth extracted less than twelve hours ago, and I have almost no pain, even though the numbness has worn off. The bleeding has also stopped and I was even able to eat ice cream. By way of background, I was at my general dentist getting some work done, and he found a fractured wisdom tooth that needed to be pulled. Fortunately, I never had to have my wisdom teeth pulled as a child, and never expected to have one pulled at 57 years old. Getting that tooth out was an emergency and my dentist did not feel comfortable removing the tooth because it was broken below the gum line. I appreciate my dentist knowing his limits, because it is tempting for a very few dentists do more than they are trained to do, because they need to generate income. I asked my dentist what oral surgeon he recommended, and he immediately said Dr. Adam Clark. My dentist could not say enough good things about Dr. Clark, which was a relief to me since I did not have any time to do my own research on an oral surgeon. Being a retired doctor, and fighting cancer for several years, you can believe me when I say that I research everything about a doctor before making a choice. I did look on yelp and Dr. Clark is a superstar, which made me more comfortable. My dentist called Dr. Clark's office and they got me in immediately. When I arrived at the office, all of the staff were very polite and professional. Even though I just me them, they gave me the feeling that I had been a patient there for a long time. I was taken back right away and the first thing they did was a CT scan of my entire mouth. You just stand there and the machine moves around your head for about thirty seconds and it is done. No pain and none of the bite wings that normally have to get jammed down your throat to get an x-ray. I sat down with Dr. Clark and he carefully reviewed my medical history forms that his patients need to complete prior to surgery. Frankly, I was surprised how thorough Dr. Clark was. I have been battling a rare form of leukemia for several years, and as a result, my platelet counts can be low enough to making bleeding an issue, (platelets clot the blood and they have to be at a certain level for surgery to be safe). Dr. Clark spent a good amount of time going over my medical history, and after talking with me about it, he said that until I had lab work done, especially platelets and other values that have to do with fighting infection, and until he talked with my doctor, that we could not go forward with the extraction. Honestly, I was a bit frustrated that I had to go to the lab and wait for results, etc, until the tooth could be taken out. Dr. Clark insisted that it was better to be safe than sorry, despite my insistance that we could move forward without a problem. He was right, if my platelets were low enough I could have bled to death in his chair. As soon as Dr. Clark got good labs and spoke with my doctor, he called me personally to discuss the results and what the plan was moving forward. I was very surprised that he personally called me. In my experience, it is unusual to have the doctor call you. Usually the office staff will call to set up a surgery. The plan was to have the tooth taken out without any general anesthesia or sedation, since it was only one wisdom tooth. He offerred to give me some minor calming medicine prior to the procedure, but I declined. The surgery went off without a problem. Dr. Clark expained everything I was about to feel prior to doing it. The numbing was really not that bad, despite being awake, and the location of the tooth. Pulling the tooth did not hurt, I just felt pressure and heard a grinding sound when the tooth was breaking away from the jaw bone. That was a bit gross, but tolerable. Before doing the surgery, I was offered headphones with any music I wanted, but I didn't want any music. Before you know it, the tooth was out and I was on my way home. Here I am now at 4:17 a.m. awake, and with only minor discomfort. Sorry I am rambling. I can not say enough about Dr. Clark and his staff. Maxillofacial surgeons go through an amazing amount of training, (four years after dental school). Most people think that they only remove wisdom teeth, but they can do complex facial reconstruction and so many other helpful and difficult procedures. I know that I only had one wisdom tooth pulled, but I would trust Dr. Clark with any procedure for myself and family. Thanks so much Dr. Clark and staff for the awesome care you provided. Dr. Adam Clark and his friendly / professional staff under him are unbelievable. I was referred here by my dentist Dr. Pak for 3 wisdom tooth extractions. From the girls on the phones fitting me in very quickly for consultation to finish, everyone was so comforting and helpful. I hate needles and anything to do with surgeries more than anyone due to some past month long hospitalization experiences when I was young. But the girls scheduled me the next day after a spot opened up for a consultation, there I met a very friendly staff and Dr. Clark, who is such a kind / gentle doctor which is exactly what you want as a patient. He gave me all my options and answered all of my questions. Next up they gave me an estimate that was a lot cheaper than I was expecting, and scheduled me for surgery the next day. (For 5 star top notch treatment this is the best price you will find) I was really nervous going in but his nurse gave me a warm cozy blanket, oxygen and played my favorite songs on a speaker throughout the whole process. The iv was painless, DR. Clark is very gentle and I didn't even feel the iv. He even sprayed some Cold spray on my arm to make sure I wouldn't feel the needle, which I thought was great. He gave me some meds through IV to calm me down because I was very nervous. Next thing I know i'm calm and happy then I'm out cold. After around 2 hours of surgery give or take I'm awake and feeling great. It only felt like I was out for a couple minutes. He prescribed me all the meds I needed and was on my way. I'm healing up nicely 16 hours after surgery and very minimal pain. They provide you with very detailed printouts of what / how / when to eat, clean, drink, very detailed I love it. I wanted to give a very detailed review because I know there are people out there that want this sort experience who are frightened of needles and surgeries like myself. I went to Dr Clark in extreme pain from some extractions that another Oral Surgeon had performed. I know that Doctors and Dentist don't typically like to try and fix someone elses mess but Dr Clarks office got me in right away and did everything he could to get me out of pain. He had to go in yesterday and clean the sockets out but I woke up this morning completely pain free!! His staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient and Dr Clark is truly gifted as an Oral Surgeon. The office is modern, clean and beautiful. When the first Oral Surgeon removed my teeth initially I never heard from him or his office once after I was sent home. The run down: -Great staff that makes you feel welcome, know what they're doing -Dr. Clark is professional, friendly, experienced, and conducts a clean, technologically updated office (no yellowed furniture or scratched surfaces) -The office is clean, open, and well-decorated. More like a small living room -Fast service, thorough exam, explanations of why and what to expect during the procedures, -Fast recovery. I can say I felt no pain, had no need to take anything more than ibuprofen, and was off that after 5 days. The whole experience: I went in randomly one day..working.. and met Scott. He and I had a friendly conversation, and before I went out the door he asked, "Do you need to have your wisdom teeth remove?" My response was "yes...I've needed to for the last 2 years." I didn't because the doctor I saw was creepy and I had heard too many stories to be put under with someone I got the creeps from. I met with Dr. Clark a few weeks later, laughed a lot, and scheduled my appointment for the following Thursday. I have never had surgery before, and have never been put under anesthesia, so I was very nervous. However, I went in, was greeted by name, helped nearly as soon as I got there (no suspense), and was welcomed to sit in a chair. Dr. Clark came in soon after, told me what was going to happen and was able to spark up some casual conversation out of me. The last thing I remember is "this will help you relax." I woke up with gauze in my mouth, no pain, just a little dizziness, and my sister waiting for me outside the door. I was wheeled out with a couple of prescriptions for pain killers, a short list of "best practices for fast recovery" and I was on my way. My follow up the next week was enjoyable. I was beyond embarrassed (self-editing is difficult when on drugs), but still had an enjoyable experience. OK, let me be straightforward. As a rule I don't like the dentist and never have, hence I end up in an oral surgeons office. The lesson here is to get over your fear of the dentist so you don't get things worse but that's another story. This particular doctor and this particular office staff is just about as good as I can imagine. Having been involved in a lot of training and having giving a lot of training in a different industry, I can say without reservation that this group is very well-trained and executes extremely well. Just had a #18 cracked molar removed by Dr. Clark today. My dentist, Dr. Alan Johnson recommended Dr. Clark, so I knew this would be a good experience. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Clark and his staff. This is a first-rate operation (no pun intended). From the moment I walked in the door, to the time I left, I knew I was getting the best treatment possible and the best care I could imagine. In the pre-op meeting, he took his time to educate me as to what my options were, his recommendations and why. Another office told me I needed 2 crowns, which might later necessitate a root canal. Dr. Johnson referred me to Dr. Fife, an endodontist, who said the tooth was too far cracked to recommend a root canal/crown as I would just be back in a couple of years with an infection and need an extraction. Dr. Fife chose to tell me what was best for me instead of what would make him the most money. Dr. Clark did a great job. Dr. Clark's office and operating room make you feel like you are in a five-star hotel with a beautiful view out the window and his bedside manner will put you at ease. Where do I start?!? I hate, hate dentists or anything to do with people doing work on my teeth. My regular dentist recommended Dr. Clark and a few others and like any other person with a phobia I did some research. I found a lot of great reviews and he didn't disappoint! Had little to no pain once I woke up, he talked me through the procedure before hand, and called me later that night to make sure I was doing well. Wow. What an amazing experience!! At home a few hours after getting back from my wisdom teeth removal-- all four were extracted-- and feeling great! My swelling is present but minimal, and the pain is nonexistent as of now. To backtrack, everything in this entire experience has been worth an A+! My consultation was so reassuring and Dr. Clark took tons of his time to get to know me and to share some details about himself and his education/experience. He also explained how the procedure would work and how he does it, which was cool to hear! The office communicated with me really well and they were so helpful. Murphy called to double check things with me and answer my questions, and she was super friendly.The paperwork was a breeze, and the billing was easy and straightforward. Every single person that works in that office had a smile, and a wonderful attitude to match that. On the day of my wisdom teeth extraction, Melissa called ahead of time to ensure that we were on our way and reassured me that it would be a quick and painless visit! When I got there, Sharon took me right back and she was so incredibly reassuring. She made conversation with me and it even almost made me forget that I was having surgery at all! Sharon was so sweet and genuine, and the best! Dr. Clark started the IV, which was awesome because it shows that he really cares and takes pride in doing things the right way. I don't think I've ever met a genius that is also so personable! Waking up was easy, and Dr. Clark was there to reassure. He is so friendly and professional and honestly the best doctor I have EVER been to! Everything about my experience was great and it's so refreshing to have such a good experience.
