Trevor, Amir, and Drew from Adamantine Spine Moving were amazing with our move out of state this past week. It's one thing to move from place to place when you're single/ in college/ etc. It's an entirely different experience to move a family of 6 with 4 girls under age 6 halfway across the country. It was very bittersweet as the home we moved from was our first family home, so I was a little anxious about the whole thing. These gentlemen were nothing short of spectacular! They were punctual, polite, and extremely professional. Our entire home was packed Tetris-style into a moving truck in 2 days time. I'm talking 2 queen beds, a double bed, a bunk bed, plus everything else you can cram into kitchen cabinets, 2 living spaces, a basement, shed, and garage space. I was shocked by how fast the job was done and how effortless they made it seem. They came with boxes, mattress covers, padded quilts, elastic bands, tape, and more. All the boxes were labeled with our last name, the room it came from, and a general idea of what was in it. They packed, padded, and bubble wrapped everything. I didn't need to lift a finger. We traveled with the kids, 2 cats, and a few items of ours we wanted to have with us, while the truck followed us a few days behind. Upon arrival, Trevor and Amir got straight to work rolling out runners so as not to damage or dirty the floors. The truck was unpacked very quickly and not a single item was damaged! All of our bigger items were reassembled for us- couches, beds, and a crib. They knew the kids' names, what pieces of furniture came from where, and where we wanted things to go. The gentlemen did a thorough job putting everything together and even doing a final walk through to be sure we were pleased with the placement of it all. They did everything with ease and a smile on their faces, despite the high temperatures they worked in. It really seemed like they were part of the family for the few days we knew them. My family and I moved from Iowa City to Omaha in early July, and the Spine crew made the move so stress-free from start to finish! 1) Initial Estimate - Before committing to anything, a moving coordinator took a virtual walkthrough of my home and got a description of my belongings in order to provide an initial estimate (which was super accurate, by the way!). Then, on move day there was plenty of communication about what to expect and how best to prepare. 2) Pack & Prep - I got the full service treatment which is unbelievably worth it! These guys truly are professionals at their craft, they expertly packed everything into boxes in a very organized way, used plastic tubs for liquids, disassembled and wrapped furniture, and had everything ready to be loaded onto the truck for the next day. They even left the mattress out for me to sleep on :) 3) Loading & Unloading - Typically for interstate moves, the loading and unloading takes place on separate days. But here's where the crew really shined. Not only did they load up all the boxes into the truck on a hot summer day, not only did they drive 4 hours and 400 miles to Omaha, but they also decided to unload as much as they could right when they arrived. They worked until about 9pm unloading boxes and even re-assembled the bed for another comfortable night's rest. The next morning they spent maybe one more hour unloading the last of our items. As we opened up boxes, we were extremely impressed with how everything was padded and wrapped to keep our fragile belongings safe from breaking. 4) Conclusion - If you are moving local or to another state, do yourself a favor and hire Spine Moving. Adamantine Spine Movers are just PHENOMENAL! I am going to start by saying that I am very, very picky and that I treat all my stuff with extreme care. When starting to look for moving companies to plan my move from Ann Arbor, MI to Richmond, VA I 'panicked' with the inconsistent ratings of some of the most well-known moving companies. Fortunately, a friend of mine recommended me Adamantine Spine Movers and I contacted them to see if they would come all the way from Iowa City to move me. And they did! The experience was amazing, starting with the easiness with how Eric did our quote over facetime, and how Bill and his team of two more people packed all my fragile items with extreme care and carried all my furniture carefully covered in protective blankets. Everyone was so nice, polite, respectful, and efficient and we actually had a great time while they were packing our stuff and then having lunch together! Once Bill got to the final destination, he unloaded the truck by himself and re-assembled all the furniture because we had missed our flight and only made it home at 8pm instead of 3pm, as initially planned. When we arrived, everything was in perfect place like I had asked and Bill was patiently waiting for us with his big smile and serene personality. And at the end, an even better surprise: the final amount was lower than the estimate provided by Eric in the first place! From the very first phone call, I knew why Adamantine had come highly recommended. I had nothing but professional and fantastic communication. I cannot stress enough how great the communication was with this company. I knew exactly what time my move was. I got a message that the crew had checked in, and what their names were as well as their phone numbers. I then got a phone call when they were 10 minutes out. When the crew showed up, Rhett, Dillon and Ian introduced themselves. They did a walk through with me and got right to work. These three young men were so polite, professional and hard working, I was so impressed with each of them. I observed these three work so hard and never heard a complaint. In fact, they were enjoying each others company as they wrapped and moved each piece of furniture. That is not something you see each day, people enjoying their co-workers and job. They took amazing care to protect the house we were leaving as well as the house we were going to. There was not one ding or scratch on furniture or walls. I just don't know what else to say to show my appreciation for the type of job this company and their amazing employees did. As far as the quote they came in a little under what they anticipated. Our experience with Adamantine Spine placed them far out ahead of the other 12 moves we've made in our 42 years of marriage. The opening inquiry was responded to the same day. Emily then discussed our needs, confirming a good fit and scheduled her virtual walk through in short order. During the walk through she was meticulous and asked great questions and clarified many situations. Their quote was not the cheapest by a bit, but it was so inclusive to include the full value insurance being their standard, and their level of detail on the survey offering confidence in the estimate process. (spoiler alert: the estimate is exactly what we paid). The packing team was so careful and thorough, not a break in the move to include over 50 very expensive vases, plus the usual breakables. Nothing was lost, everything reassembled as they found it, no hanging out on their cell phones and very clear in communicating. The cross country drivers (Dalton and Ethan) worked tirelessly and carefully offloading and unpacking/reassembling. So patient, agreeable and eager to make things right (only my wife was able to be there which took the pressure off of her too). The gentlemen (and I mean gentlemen) that moved my belongings were courteous, professional, friendly, quiet, socially-skilled, well-groomed, smiling young men who took great care with my belongings and were efficient in their work and patient with multiple change orders that required items to be moved back and forth a couple of times, which were very heavy items. The office staff were also extremely customer-service oriented, which was evidenced by their patience, friendliness, cooperation and consideration in making the process easy and smooth. I am a realtor and have seen a lot of movers. The staff at Adamantine Spine Moving from the office to the actual movers are a cut above the rest. Many of my clients wouldn't consider using anyone else because they have come so highly recommended from their friends and family members who have used their service. We recently moved from Cedar Rapids Iowa to Texas. Based on positive reviews, we selected Adamantine Spine moving company. (Unusual name, we know). We were a little concerned about using a small, local company we had never heard of but we were swayed by the many positive reviews. We were surprised that a local company could handle a long distance move. From beginning to end the experience was very positive. The crew arrived on time. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. They were very careful with our furniture, wrapping with pads and then shrink wrapping all of the important items. (We have many beautiful pieces of handmade hardwood Amana furniture.) They loaded the truck on Friday and delivered to Texas the following Wednesday, as predicted. All of our furniture arrived in perfect condition. No issues whatsoever. I was worried that they would need to hire locals to help with the unloading but Clifford and Griffen did the entire unload by themselves. The estimate was for slightly more than $13,000. The final bill was for slightly less than $12,000. We have moved approximately 13 times over the past 40 years and this was the best move we've ever had. Thanks again Adamantine! read more

I have never hired movers for any of the moves I have done in the past, however I decided to this past Friday. I read through the reviews of Adamantine Spine and immediately began the process of getting a quote. Not only was the women Cindy who I talked to extremely considerate and helpful (with it being my first-time having movers I had many questions) but she was also very accommodating. I changed not only my move date multiple times but also the volume of inventory that I needed moved, and through the whole process she was so kind and patient. Come moving day, the crew called, and we agreed on a time they would arrive because they had finished the move before me early. When they arrived, they were all very respectful and had a good sense of humor, they moved everything out very quickly but were also watchful of my belongings. When we arrived at the new place, we set up a game plan and before I knew it, I was all moved in! Through the whole time they asked me where each item was to be placed and even went so far as to reset my living room because I changed my mind. I can't say enough good things about Adamantine Spine Moving. I moved from Iowa to Massachusetts and didn't know any moving companies in Iowa -- I found ASM through a Google search, and reached out to them not knowing what to expect. They exceeded even my most optimistic expectations. Their level of professionalism was really top-rate: they were always in communication with me about the move, but didn't bug me unnecessarily (always a delicate balance!), and immediately responsive to any questions I had. They gave me an estimate that was really fair/reasonable, and then the actual cost ended up being lower than the estimate despite adding a few items last-minute. They were really accommodating when I had to change the date of my move. They arrived on time, the moving crew was fantastic on both ends (Eric, James, Ben, and Darian), and just made the experience of moving cross-country so much less stressful. If you're reading this and, like me, are discovering ASM through a Google search, I really can't recommend them highly enough. Impressed. They did everything right! Here are some highlights from my intra-city move: 1. Excellent communication from the moment I called them, with check ins as my date approached. 2. They arrived not just on time, but even a few minutes early! No waiting around wondering when the movers would show up. 3. They worked as a team, helping each other and moving efficiently. 4. They were so careful and cautious about my furniture and belongings. Not one thing broke, not one wall or corner was scratched, not one item torn. They brought furniture wrap and protected everything so well! 5. They were friendly, polite, and kind. 6. Total cost did come in below budget which was really nice. 7. They rolled out a floor protecting carpet in my new home to protect the hardwood floors, and added corner protectors to keep the frame from denting. 8. I normally have plenty of things to suggest here but our experience with your company from the moment you stepped in last minute to help us after we experienced a bait/switch from a "national" company to the detailed last walk-through at the end, there is not one area I can see room for improvement. Your company culture, integrity, and customer service is evident in the work ethic and quality of your employees. They were punctual, kind, went above and beyond, had fun and worked extremely hard, while being efficient and ensuring safety on both ends of the move. My husband and I were even more impressed on move out day when the owner of the company arrived with the moving crew as he drove the truck that day. I can't say enough praise about this local company. Since they picked up this job last minute to "come to our rescue", they could have upcharged the whole move, but instead, they honored their initial quote given to us months earlier. I had received excellent recommendations for this company, and they went and exceeded all my high expectations. Brooke, our sales rep, was helpful and friendly throughout the initial process. She was always happy to answer my questions. The moving crews were professional, efficient, and super kind. We were nowhere near ready to move out as we had expected when their arrival time occurred. They didn't bat an eye, remained cheerful, and spent a lot of extra time packing for us even though that was not a service I originally requested. The crew arrived on time, unpacked in a friendly and cheerful manner even though once again we threw up some fresh obstacles. They were careful with any box marked "fragile." A special shout out for Eric, the owner who led the crews. He is the absolute best. They all seemed to understand that moving is a very stressful process, and they were there for us throughout. The move today went beyond any of our expectations. The communication from the very first email was prompt, informative, and reassuring. They arrived right on time, but still texted AND called to keep us updated on their ETA. They introduced themselves upon arrival, and instantly put my elderly mother at ease. They were hard working (heavy items, up and down stairs), and efficient with their time; I often saw them jogging back/forth from the truck. The bill was considerably less than estimated. After I wrote the check they stayed and moved a very heavy dresser for the third time, which just reinforced how important it was for us to be completely satisfied with their service. Lastly, these guys looked like they enjoyed their job. They could not have been nicer or more respectful to us or my mother's (precious) furnishings. From the very first contact email with Brooke in Sales, to the moving van pulling away with Dillon and Rhett, I have actually enjoyed what is typically one of the top 5 stressors in life! I needed packing help at the last minute, and Brooke found time to send a crew of 4 people, all of them super nice, careful, polite, and accommodating. My items arrived intact, and even with paying extra for a 2-day turnaround time, my load weight ended up costing less than the initial estimate. This was our 2nd time using Adamantine Spine. We had previously moved from Iowa City to Decorah, and now needed to move from Decorah to PA. After such a great first experience, I could not think of anyone else to call! This long distance move was our smoothest of any previous. A 4-man crew arrived to pack and load...on time and ready to work. They had the truck loaded early and were able to get our extra stop in ahead of schedule. A 2-man crew arrived at our destination. These two crew members (Kyle and Cliff) were hard working, friendly, courteous, and really worked well together. Cliff had to back the tractor trailer into a curved narrow dead end street, and did it with ease. They pushed hard to unload the truck in one day, and did it with care. My wife and I are in our 60's. We hired Adamantine to move us from our old house, just across Iowa City, to our new. They made it easy for us because they knew their stuff, and on top of that, the crew made it fun for us. They obviously had a system and we found it most effective. They worked well together and left my wife and I believing these guys liked their job and liked each other. They were polite, courteous, and left me with the impression that they would have done anything for us--all we had to do was ask. Sadly, one doesn't move too often. I used Spine to move from Urbana, Illinois to Washington, DC. Notably, Iowa City was not part of the move at all, but I lived in Iowa City several years ago, and I knew the Spine Crew were legit and trustworthy. So, when faced with the logistical challenges of this big move (never lived in a big city before), I thought it made sense to go with the most trustworthy guys I knew. To my good fortune, they had a load headed east, and we were able to coordinate a pick up. The process was so utterly painless, it made my life manageable during a very, very stressful transition. I had an awesome experience with Adamantine Spine while moving this morning. When I was pricing out their competitors(major national moving companies), each of them said that I had 5-6 hours worth of work with the moving to do, and that it would end up being a very expensive experience. Part of the reason I went with Adamantine Spine was that they were recommended to me-the other part was that they quoted me 2 hours less than everyone else! Patrick and Michael were both efficient, funny, and helpful every step of the way, and had my entire move done in less than 3 hours. To give you some perspective, I paid HALF of what was quoted me for everywhere else, even with the tip and $100 drive fee included(I live in Cedar Rapids).
