He showed me the inside of my eyeballs and explained everything going on with my eyesight. He even explained how my medication also helps widen the veins in my eyes to get blood flowing there. We talked about how my vision affects me at work, daily life and what type of lenses suited my needs. Dr. Voster also recommended some eye drops to help with the dryness. He escorted me to another side of the office that was where the glasses were. They have a decent selection. The person that helped me gave me recommendations and broke down costs. Overall it was a great experience, but just an FYI - it was a bit of a sticker shock with the kind of lenses I got. I got the ones where I can see far when driving and have readers for close up. Personally, I should have just got regular glasses and bought some readers separately. Lol I say consider this place as an option. They are truly a great staff with excellent services - and the costs reflect that. That may be a little more than one anticipates. To give u an idea, exam + eyeball thing + frames + lenses... I think it came out to $260 out of pocket. Mind you, my insurance is pretty great. Anyhow. Hope this info helps!

Out running errands, I dropped in on Acuity Eye Group La Quinta to report my recent stumble. I'd banged my head which bruised the area around my good eye. (As a long-time Acuity glaucoma patient, I am fortunate to consistently get excellent care under world class Ophthalmologist Joel Solano, MD. And I have a responsibility to keep them informed.) When Acuity front desk administrator Ivonne saw my bruised face, she pleasantly urged me to take a seat in the lobby. Not expecting this, I was still keeping my appointment in a few days, I explained. Had no expectation beyond a casual report of my condition. But the Acuity team had other plans. I waited fewer than 10 minutes when eye care technician Fatima emerged and escorted me back. She administered eye tests while showing sensitivity to my sudden concerns. Dr. Solano then conducted more tests whereupon he presented the good news: no damage to my eye. I made a follow-up commitment. SHOCKINGLY EXCELLENT CUSTOMER CARE. Confident and relieved that Acuity eye Group La Quinta allows pro veterans like Ivonne with her years of experience, to greet the patients. I never heard such a thing before my whole life and I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years. These people are unprofessional their lab is probably worse than the service people.
