Bought this Xterra off this lot 3 months ago. Apparently, I spent too much time looking for rust…read morebecause that's usually what you look out for on these, and I didn't think to check the roof. Unfortunately, for the first 2 months, we had little to no rain, then, a series of monsoons and that's when I discovered that this vehicle had water issues. I began investigating in the issue and that's when I discovered these cracks in the rain gutter. Of course the dealer wants no part in it, as they don't cover water issues in their warranty, so now it's on me. A word of advice to anyone buying a vehicle off this lot, take the vehicle to the car wash first to simulate a wet season. Now, I'm left to make the repairs out of my own pocket and if I would have known this prior to purchasing, I would have asked for less money. It's a shame because it drives really nice and I really enjoy it. I give a one star because I feel as if this dealer just sells cars and doesn't actually look into what they're selling, not much different than Facebook marketplace. I mentioned a hood noise prior to buying it, they did not fix it and stated that they didn't hear anything when the noise was very obvious when going over any kind of bump. Turned out to be a noisy hood latch, which is a common issue on Xterras, easy fix. There was also a knick in the windshield on the passenger side that I did not notice until I had a passenger. I let those things slide because hood latches are easy to replace and a knick can be repaired free with insurance, but the roof issue was the final nail in the coffin. Typically, I buy from trusted dealers because of issues like this, but I really wanted an Xterra for travel and this is what I have to deal with now. The worst part is that it looks like it was previously repaired, but this was not disclosed to me at purchase. I should have trusted my gut and waited for a trusted dealer to have one, this'll be the last time I buy a vehicle off a lot like this. If you absolutely have to buy a vehicle off this lot, go the extra mile with your inspection.

Scott was friendly , went and took pics and such and sent them over. It was later in the day (Unit just arrived, never hit shop or the cleanup which I was perfectly fine with ) Said we could come first thing in the morning 5/5. Even texted later stating we were coming up first thing. Scott said to find Ian , his sales manager as he wasn't going to be there. I said that's Fine. About 20 mins prior to arrival , I got a text stating " Hi Joe! My name is Ian. I'm jumping into this existing thread because Scott is off on Tuesdays. The Transit Is available. Its had a lot of attention since yesterday. It is in the shop today and then will go to the recon department. If you are interested in this van, I would definitely suggest coming to see it as soon as you can. Even if its not ready through the shop, if you wanted you could always put a deposit on it. I forsee this one selling before it actually makes it through the lot" ... I was only 20 mins out in my 3 hour total drive, no problem. I get there, unpack my family. Go in and find Ian, he said It is available. We can show you in the shop. Took us to the shop and looked , talked with my wife, I had cash , checkbook, everything I was to need. But I could tell he was hesitant , so I said what's wrong ? He said , "Well , I cant really sell it to you right now. The Director is now interested in it and I cant get ahold of him ( he was looking at his phone ) I said, OK..., but you just said it was available. He said look , I'll keep trying him and will let you know today. I still wanted to try to do business but I was so confused and what I just went through to get there (I work 60 hours a week in my day job and I run a business with multiple children) So he said he would let me know. We were forced to pack up, didn't hear anything for a several hours after getting home, so I text and said , Any news? He said yes, he thinks he wants it. He wont be able to make it in until the following day or after to say for sure he wants it but I'll let you know then. So I responded back, I don't understand. I have everything ready , he cant come for days to even look but this "Director" Can just step in and take away from a customer that Is willing and ready and was already there after you kept telling me it was available? I tried to call in and talk to anyone higher, but was un successful. A salesman named Jefferey answered, half chuckled and said "Well, When the Director says something , its just how it goes ".... No . This was handled so poorly. Saddest part is I have 5 daughters and my oldest is 16 & driving now and I was looking for a dealership to do business with that I could also buy her first car and the rest up and coming. I Just don't understand how a portrayed "Family Run Dealership" can just treat my "Family" as if we are trash after a Director steps in and magically takes it, yet he cant make it to his employment until days later to actually see it. I would advise to deal elsewhere, especially if you have to travel any long distance to look at a vehicle. Your Family and your time isn't worth anything to them. Even reached out to the owner asking if this is normal or not, however got no response. I've never been treated so poorly in an attempted transaction at a dealership in my life, especially with the thought of buying multiple vehicles. Deal Elsewhere.

I have had multiple problems with the servicing of my car. On one occasion I was waiting for my car to get done and waiting for their call which never happened. After day two of them having it I called to see what was up. They advised me my car was done the first day it was there. Hello am I supposed to telepathically know this??? His excuse was i put a timeframe when I wanted the car done so he assumed i would know it was done?? Really??? Just because i say i would like to pick it up at 2 pm doesnt mean you will be done at that time or that day. So now that the receptionist takes over all phone calls and scheduling, i have to specifically tell her call me by 3 and let me know if its done or not. Just so i know i get a phone call either way. I ordered a key for my car and waited a month and a half for it. I called to see where it was and Jody told me he couldnt find the order in the system. He said he would have the full time guy call me back. Do you think he called me... Nope... I had to call back in a week or so later to inquire where this key was. So the fulltime dude who has always been the incompetent one, told me it wasn't ordered. So i re-ordered my key. They eventually called to tell me it was in and when i went to pick it up it wasnt there. Once they searched all over, it was determined it was delivered to the wrong shop. When it finally was there to pick up, the quoted $30 turned to $60. Apparently when you get the key cut for your car it cost more..... You can't tell me this up front??? A cpl weeks ago I dropped my car off for a check engine light. They Called me and told me it was under warranty and they would need to order the part. Once the part came in they called me and asked me in an unsure way, if i was told I would have to pay for the service. I told her no because I was told it was under warranty. She asked who i spoke with. Well does anyone ever write names down when your contacted about your vehicle??!! No i didnt know who told me that. I explained i paid something like $4,000 extra for an extended warranty and asked why it wasnt covering it. She explained there was confusion about wether the part was covered and told me they couldnt find it in their system concerning extended warranty. They would have had to see it last week when they told me it was covered..... She asked to call me back. Eventually after calling the company they found the extended warranty and everything was covered. It doesnt make any sense why the front desk receptionist has to do the service center's work. A receptionist doesnt know anything about the car repairs. So when i ask them questions they dont know the answers. For instance why does my car need that particular part and what does it do. Not trashing the receptionist, it isnt her fault. I should be talking to the service station that is working on my car. The one good thing about the receptionist is they seem to keep better records then the shop. I had several other things occur the above was not the only thing. I just started documenting them now. The full-time desk guy for the service station is very incompetent and is the one I had all the past issues with. I wouldn't recommend this place due to the fact you have to service your car with them when it is under warranty and it's a guarantee that something will be lost in translation or get messed up some how. The only reason they got two stars is because the purchase of the vehicle was painless and the receptionists are very friendly and accommodating. Too bad they need to take the blunt of things for the servicing department. Although i love my Kia, i would have to go to another dealership to purchase the next one!

They explained that the wrong non-Toyota clamps had been used and were overtightened (My oversight). They needed to keep my car overnight (huge inconvienence) because they didn't have a hose in stock (Really?) They then installed a new hose for $133 and performed a coolant flush for $179. There was an unexplained coolant conditioner fee of $39. Then after paying $475, I went out to check the car and they had installed the new hose with the non-Toyota universal clamps! Apparently, the service writer didn't know that clamps had to be ordered separately. I am beyond frustrated with lack of communication between the service writer and the techs and for the excessive costs for minor service. All would have been OK if they had done the repair correctly, now I have to bring it back another time, or take it somewhere else to be fixed correctly. Bottom line, if you're not in warranty, find another place to take your car.

Bennett really dropped the ball. They think they might be able to order one in a month or so. If I could give them a zero I would. This is not the first time that this has happened with Bennett failing to secure a car that they said was available.
