DEREK RENSCHLER RAN A CON ON ME ON CHRISTMAS DAY!…read more I live full time in a truck camper and was on my way back to Houston on Saturday to spend Christmas with my family. My 2006 F250 decides to stall out on me multiple times while driving and I'm not able to make the trip all the way back to Houston successfully so I look for a mobile repair mechanic. Derek was the first one to respond and was extra nice. He says he'd meet me where I was. (On this call, he also made it a point to say, " Don't worry. If we need a part, I can call around to my friends to see if they might have extra parts laying around.") Sounds great! After waiting for about 40 minutes, I called Derek to cancel him because it looked like the truck was idling OK. "No problem! Let me know if anything changes." 10 minutes later, my truck stalls again for a third time in Goodrich, a few miles south. I called Derek back right away and told him that I needed his help again. He says no problem and that he would turn back around and and come to my location. Takes him over an hour to get to me and he tells me he's "coming from all the way from Coldspring and that he was almost there." (Coldspring is about 20 minutes from Goodrich). He finally pulls up and starts tinkering around for 20 minutes and goes and sits in his truck with his daughter without saying a word. Eventually, he comes out and says that the problem is my fuel injection control sensor (ICP). He says that he tricked the computer which was a temporary faking of a solution so that I could continue to drive but that I had to go fix it in Houston. He even offers to follow me for a couple of miles to make sure I didn't stall again. We end up at a Shell near Shepherd. He gives me the invoice of $255 for all of the work he put into the call. I questioned why this was so high for the alleged temporary "fix." I told him that he didn't actually fix the problem at all and just sending me off to handle it myself. This is when he notices my disappointment. He goes back to his truck and after 10 minutes comes out and tells me that (conveniently) a friend had just let him know that he had an extra ICP sensor sitting around that we could buy from him. He showed me a revised invoice for $320, to include the part, says it's only 12 miles away and that it would only take about 20 minutes to install. He takes my CC for a payment of $320. I follow him for about 9 miles and we make a right at the intersection of FM 222@Spring Ridge Rd. He calls me and tells me to pull over at the abandoned church/cemetery and to wait for him. I presumed this was for his friend's privacy and didn't think anything of it. 1 Full Hour goes by and I've called him repeatedly without getting any response. This is when I knew I'd been GHOSTED on Christmas Day! He'd left me there with absolutely NO Intention of coming back, especially since he already had my money. Shocked!! Not to mention, he even had his young daughter along for "take your daughter to work day" so that she could see how Dad operates his business! This AZZHOLE left me sitting in a dark abandoned church and cemetery and made me miss my Christmas with family! I made it back to Humble and I stall again on the freeway. Derek was adamant about the truck working (without a doubt) with whatever fix he'd done when he took my money. I had to get towed back home and wasn't home until Midnight! To this day, I have yet to receive any callbacks or follow up from this con artist. BEWARE! THIS GUY IS A CON-ARTIST AND WILL LEAVE YOU HANGING. HIS M.O. IS TO TELL YOU HE'S GOING TO GET A PART AND THEN GHOSTS YOU. CALL ANOTHER MECHANIC!

Super great job! Highly recommend, Fair, honest and great communication…read more I'll be using them for all my mechanical issues
