After having my first child, I had pelvic floor dysfunction and continued lower back pain. I worked with Dr. McAvoy (the only pelvic floor specialist in the area) and have regained almost full function. I was discouraged at first and didn't think I'd see this much improvement! I went through a full two month course of physical therapy here. The physical therapist (I only…read moreever saw one) was very hands-off. At the very most I saw him for 10 minutes per visit. I was hooked up to a TENS unit, given a therapeutic ultrasound (not as exciting as it sounds), and sent on my way. The therapist told me that all of my pain was a result of a tight muscle that.... For some reason... Couldn't be remedied by physical therapy - because they didn't actually do any therapy. I could have done every treatment that I received at home for much less money. (Except for the ultrasound - but it doesn't make any difference anyways). I would highly advise going anywhere BUT here for physical therapy. The only reason this place gets two stars is because the receptionist is very nice.

I now go there for massage therapy once a month for chronic low back pain. It helps keep my low back muscles from spasms and helps keep me more active. The staff is friendly and professional. The facility is clean, and appointments are easy to get. My massage therapist also teaches massage and is very good at diagnosing issues and giving tips for resolution. I would highly recommend this place for your physical therapy needs.

Not only was she clearly knowledgeable but she was incredibly empathetic, which is one of the big somethings that I often find missing when going to a doctor.
