It is quite a nice store with a lot of produce, deli meats and fresh halal meats. If you walk upstairs there are also plenty of shisha (hooka) pipes in all sorts of sizes as well as music from the Middle East and some pieces of art. You can get a lot of specialty food items here which can be difficult to find including Grape Leaves, Middle Eastern spices, olives, and specialty oils. This is a great store to check out if you are in the neighborhood, and if you are in need of a hooka pipe the prices here are a lot better than in other stores I have seen them in.

It was $10 for 5 very large ones which was a bit expensive, and I don't think they were made with atta flour so they weren't as flavourful as I wanted them to be, but still much more tasty than you could expect from a frozen roti. They also sell dahl puri rotis for those so inclined. I browsed for a while looking for something else to grab and eventually decided on some okra and a pistachio kulfi. An interesting mix of items not to be found easily at any traditional grocery store. I went through their flour and spice section very slowly and there is a lot there to make me happy.

Today, however, when I placed a pickup order for the first time in some months, I arrived to find neither of the employees wearing masks as one prepared to hand me my food. When I asked why no one was wearing a mask while handling patrons' food, I received a chuckle in reply. It was at this point that I left the store, but a couple of blocks away I found that one of the employees saw fit to chase after me, to explain that it "was hot" inside, and this is why masks weren't being used, as though this is suddenly a valid excuse to not take the most basic of steps during a global pandemic. A large reason I have continued to come here is the fact that they are very conveniently located, despite the overall quality of most of their menu offerings steadily becoming lower and lower, but this was the proverbial final straw for me. Currently they are selling paska (Ukrainian Easter bread), which made me happy that I can save time not baking my own. I also bought two different kinds of kobasa (ham & garlic and pork tenderloin)- both very good, a jar of beets with horseradish and a bag each of pyrohy and holubtsi. I am now a very happy Ukrainian girl! I definitely recommend trying out some of their wares if you are longing for your Ukrainian grandmother or mother's cooking.
