I have to say! I have no clue how this place isn't packed! I've been to a couple other Brazilian steak houses. But Fumaca is one of the most friendliest flavourful delicious and best portions! Hands down always a must when coming into the city! Garlic Sirloin, Truffle Mac, pineapple are out of this world!!

If you're craving Brazilian steakhouse that's not Pampas, Fumaca is a solid choice! It's not as busy or crowded but you get more and so the same effect. Their salad bar is average with cold and hot options, but the truffle Mac and cheese is amaaazing. They didn't skimp on the cheese for this one and you can actually taste the truffle! I love the chicken drumsticks that came around, as well as the pork sausage. The garlic steak seemed to be a stand out as well! Their meats are cooked more rare than at Pampas so that's important to note (med-rare most meats). The highlight, however, was the grilled pineapple. And might I dare say it's better than the one at Pampas?? It's the perfect balance of sweet and tart, I just couldn't get enough of it. The desserts here are pretty good too! I really love the Fumaca cake, especially. Sooo much chocolatey goodness.

As I pulled up to the restaurant I was quite nervous as there seemed to be no one inside. I went inside and there was only one other table on a Friday at 8pm. Needless to say, I was worried the selection of meats on for just two tables would be lacking but boy was I wrong. All the cuts we had were delicious and the most notable was the garlic steak. As other reviews have stated, the pineapple is a must have and really helps to keep your palette fresh with all the savoury food options. The salad bar wasn't bad as well, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of meats and even more pleased thay this is about ~$10 less than Pampa's.

Another great Brazilian place. A litter better price range compared to Pampas but very good food and service.

Really bad service when you first get there they are good but they keep bringing out the rump steak instead of the meats you ask for.

We had the duck with risotto, truffle fries, pan seared salmon, and the homemade mac & cheese with chicken breast. All were excellent. Our server recommended a couples drink combo which consisted of the following: For him - Maple Old Fashioned: Bearface Triple Oak Canadian whisky, maple syrup, and Angostura bitters. For her - A savory-sweet mix of Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, passion fruit liqueur, blood orange syrup, lime juice, and a black salt rim. It was awesome. The hotel had an amazing gym facility and pool. I easily spent two hours in the gym as there was a variety of activities. Also, the decor was absolutely divine. Gorgeous lighting, and panelling throughout with a big open kitchen where you can see the magic happen. We would definitely stay the night again!

And the service just seemed disorganized with how long the dishes took, how everyone didn't get served the correct dishes, and the servers were fumbling to rearrange themselves.

We got seated at our table and then we waited...and waited...and waited... So the manager came by and asked us if we need anything and I replied, "Yeah a server." Apparently there was a mix up with communication and whose table was whose. It is gorgeous inside. Very sexy. Plush benches, silver tones, and blue lights. This would be a great place to be seen after a hockey game or something. Finally with our fixed menu in hand and some water. The manager asked us if we would like the wine paring for no extra charge. What a fabulous gift! We started out with the black truffle and brie aranchini. This is super rich and flavourful. Great texture on the outside and creamy goodness on the inside. My husband and I got one of each of the salads - Wedge and Ceasar. The portions were massive, so I am glad I got the wedge. I could pack it up and it was fresh and crisp the next day. Dressings on both of them were excellent I got the black sesame ahi tuna and my husband got the petite filet. Both were excellent but if I wanted to finish dessert I would have to get this packed for home. Finaly onto dessert my husband got the chocolate peanut butter bar, while I went with the strawberry pavlova. Both were fine, but the peanut butter bar was super rich. The wine pairings were excellent. Great place, even better when you have a super deal.

It was a bit too much for me, but we can't all like the same things. I think the staff might have recommended we not order two mashed potatoes, but otherwise service was sufficient and relatively attentive. Attention was given to my gf dietary needs, but no attempt at a gluten free bread was made, as has been done a similar high end establishments. Our waitress nearly gave our meal to another table, but fortunately was intercepted by another server. We arrived at 5:30 and got our meals at about 7:00. The ambiance was reminiscent of a high end pizza place- large marble topped tables to shout across. My lamb was a bit under done, but that was okay since I had allowed for that. I've had better lamb in my own home, but I admit I'm not a fan of char as the main flavour. It was very attractively plated and I liked most of the vegetables that shared the plate, excepting perhaps, one or two pieces of bitter greens. My two companions enjoyed their meals, both having ordered filet. The three of us wound up spending about $300.00, tip included.

I am please to say the food - which is always good, matched the service which this time was also good. We had a really great server. I like this type of menu where there was enough to choose from, but not to little to feel like you don't have a choice but not too much that it is hard to choose from all the selections. We split a bunch of menu items - steelhead crudo with Thai basil, citrus, chili, olive oil, apple bison tartare with tamari ginger vinaigrette, sesame, dashi cracker beets with goat cheese custard, pears, pistachio, tarragon vinaigrette tagliatelle, lamb sausage, smoked tomato, rapini polenta the posset and the chocolate dessert We also enjoyed a bottle of Merlot Food was excellent. The stand outs were the steelhead crudo and the beet salad. The steelhead crudo was beautiful and shining like jewels on the plate. And the beet salad was the same. I would highly recommend these two dishes. However, there wasn't a bad dish at all. I think that you won't go wrong here with the food.

I asked if a game could be put on the tv in front of us and the bartender put a different game on then was requested, which was not a big deal. I waited 15 minutes and asked for the game we wanted to be put on. The bartender reluctantly said yes and then tried to put the game on the tv but was unsuccessful after a few minutes of attempting. I apologized for the inconvenience but she proceeded to give me dirty looks which is fine at the end of the day. What I can't ignore and reason for writing this review is when ordering a new round of drinks, I saw her use a previously poured drink that was sitting out under the taps and poured some in my glass before filling the rest of the glass up from the tap. Most likely this was not the first drink she had done this with but it was the first I noticed. I did not yell or even point this out, but chose not to drink the new beer and closed out my tab. The bartender did not ask why I l would leave a fresh beer after just ordering, so she knew I saw her but did not acknowledge how foul and revolting it is to put (at best old beer, at worse who knows what) in a patron's drink just for being so rude as to ask for a game on at a sports bar!!! Will never come back here again and they should fire this bartender for such an awful thing as pouring foreign substances into the drink of an unexpecting patron. Ruined my plans to hang out before the game.
