I highly recommend working with Steve, his team, and his subcontractors. They were all very polite and easy to work with. We did a kitchen and laundry room remodel and the entire project took 4 months from start to finish. I designed the kitchen and laundry room of my dreams and Steve made it exactly as I drew it out. He bookmatched two faux wood columns to frame out my kitchen sink, disguising a radiator pipe that runs up to our master bedroom, and Juan his tile guy did an incredible job tiling our window. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. He came by after the project was finished and saw a few things he wanted to adjust--adding a trimboard under our dishwasher, and did so very quickly. Big renovations are always stressful but Steve's team made it easy. Couldn't have asked for a nicer person to work with.

    sloppy grout lines

Review is for a bathroom remodel We hired Steve in August to redo our master bathroom. He assured me that he does this for a living and would do a great job. By the looks of his pictures and the reviews here, we believed him. I'm attaching pictures of the final product. Enjoy. -tile work was abhorrent at best. tiles did not line up and were not matched against the adjacent pattern. too much grout was used, grout was not cleaned and resulted in sloppy line work. Steve offered to have the same tile guy "fix" it. well - if you can't do it right the first time, you're not going to do it right the second time. -shower doors were installed on the wrong side of the frame. we now have holes in our brand new tile. -missing baseboards when they were promised -damage to drywall when mirrors were removed and replaced -vanity mirrors were not ordered correctly - when standing at the sink, you cannot see your face because there is a light fixture. -I could comment on the lack of communication, but that is subjective. -We spent over $40K in tile, fixtures, and labor and it is a RUNIED, EMBARRASSING MESS.

    Bathroom cabinets

The team at Adams Custom Cabinetry did a great job designing our cabinets and installing them in the bathroom/laundry room and bedroom they had remodeled. The workmanship was excellent, on time and within our budget. From design to remodeling to installation the process was professional and friendly! We are so happy we chose Steve and his crews to help us with our project.

A while back we bought a new home and my wife's office had no storage. After some research, we decided to look into Adams Custom Cabinetry (a.k.a. Adams Fine Furniture and Cabinetry). I had misplaced the folder with all of our information and recently found it; so this review is long overdue. We went to their location in Lakewood to look at some examples. Steve Adams, the owner, also showed us several items that were in progress for other customers. We also were able to meet and talk to a couple of the carpenters working on projects. We were impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship and attention to detail. We made an appointment to have Steve come out to our new place discuss some high level concepts and take measurements. Steve went back, developed a design, and shared it with us. Steve came up with a wall to wall bookcase and storage unit that looks fantastic. (The images do not do it justice). We loved it and proceeded with the project. They manufacture the product at their plant, stain it and then deliver it for installation. Given the size of the project, the installers took a couple of days to complete the project. They even installed some spot lights to provide a really nice accent to the bookcase. The installers were great, cleaning up after themselves at the end of the day, as well as the project (which I would expect). We gave Steve a sample of our cabinets and he matched the color precisely. It looks beautiful. We also decided to go with Wainscoating to match the bookcase. It really brings the entire room together. I cannot say enough about the quality and craftsmanship. It is something that is hard to find these days. While this is not the cheapest route, I do consider Adams Fine Furniture and Cabinetry the way to go if you want a high quality, custom piece that adds beauty and value to your home. I highly recommend them.

Can't say enough about Steve and his crew. They completed two standalone bathroom vanities for us in record time and to our exact specifications. True heirloom quality, and he was very flexible in working with our general contractor. He also referred us to an amazing countertop company.

Love the custom built-in and loft bed in my bonus room.
    Diane O.

Wanted a large built-in unit and loft bed with stairs for a bonus room in my townhouse. The process was super simple and Steve came up with some incredible pieces. It was very costly, but the work is impeccable and it will certainly add great value to my home. The built in wall unit has SO much storage to suit all my needs. There are drawers, shelves, and cabinets and all of my electronics fit without any cords showing. They really thought of everything for the construction of these items. The loft bed works great and allows room under for a couch. The stairs to the loft are great since it allows for older people and those with disabilities to be able to use the bed without a pesky ladder. They also have a cabinet, which could be used for a small closet, drawers, and small cubbies. All the storage in this room is just what I wanted. So happy with the work and would recommend Adams Fine Furniture if you're looking for extremely high-quality, custom, woodworking.

    Pub Table

We have worked with Steve on three projects. All three projects (4 pieces) are incredible! The craftsmanship Steve and his crew have are second to none. They listen to what you want, provide great insight and pay great attention to detail. They made a great pub table with a live edge on two sides from a black walnut tree we had to remove, 2 beautiful dressers, again with a matching live edge and the piece de resistance, a custom, craftsman fireplace mantel with side cabinets. It is the showpiece of the interior of the house! (See the pictures! We cant recommend Steve Adams highly enough!

We LOVED Adams Custom Cabinetry. We wanted built-ins around our fireplace. We showed Steve a picture of our inspiration and he made it come true even better than we could've imagined. The entire process felt very customized. He made us feel we were getting a beautiful piece of furniture made exactly to our specifications. Everything was done in the amount of time he told us it would take. The installers are employees of Adams Custom Cabinetry and not sub-contractors. They were very respectful, paid great attention to details and showed that they took pride in their work. Highly recommend!

What was once an uncomfortable, underutilized area is now a beautiful basement with a dedicated office, a workout space, and a much better-sized, well-organized utility room. In addition, they replaced all of our carpet with hardwood floors throughout the main level, and the results are amazing. The craftsmanship and finish quality exceeded our expectations -- the house feels completely elevated and refreshed. Noam was exceptional throughout the entire process. He worked closely with me on the overall design, offered smart and practical solutions, and truly understood what we were trying to accomplish. He came by daily to make sure every detail was executed correctly and was always attentive, responsive, and proactive. We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. We started planning in May of 2019, with construction from June through October of 2020, we found ways to work during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Communicating with Christian was a breeze, he was easy to talk to, responsive, professional and truly cares about what you are conveying. Because I am a retired engineer I had to stick my nose into everything... From the beginning he brought in professionals from the Architect, Structural Engineers to the finishing Carpenter and Painter, each step was amazing and all within budget. The cadre of subcontractors hired by Burger Brothers had to meet a high standard of professionalism and produce a high quality product, they were all wonderful to work with. Of note, was the daily cleanup, the care taken and the security to the existing area, especially working in the midst of a pandemic! Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and in the end we can actually say the complete project went quite smoothly and was a great experience. Would I hire them to do it again? Absolutely "In a heartbeat, no doubt about it!" I just cannot brag enough about this company and I promise you will not regret your decision to hire Christian and his crew! I could go on and on, but you get the gist.... if you want honesty and professionalism, these are your guys! Without hesitation I would recommend them and would hire them again to do any construction project.

Even phone records if they would like. I called on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. There was no answer and I left a voicemail. Never heard back from them so I called again on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. I started to leave another voicemail and my voicemail was randomly disconnected in the middle, which was weird (also a feature many networks let you do if you preview the voicemail and decide not to proceed). So I sent a text and he called me back immediately. This part felt better honestly, finally able to talk to someone. I sent him my name and address via text, he will send me date and time options for scheduling. Later a few days later, the team texted me saying they would like pictures instead. This is Friday, July 19, 2024 per the text timestamps (can be provided for verification if needed to Yelp or anyone else). He requested pictures and was obviously not scheduling an appointment. I was not able to take the pictures immediately the same day. They were sent over approx one week later on July 27th as I had a personal emergency to prioritize. Instead of a poor quality pictures, I decided to take my time, do a detailed walk through and take two videos. I even took the time to zip it up for him and upload it to dropbox (public easy to download link, industry used for over 10+ years and intuitive). They responded by telling me that: "Your videos are not viewable. I don't believe I will be the best contractor for you. The major delay of response is not a good first sign for communication for me. Also I am not available to look at your project this week. Let alone start till mid October. I wish you the best and hope your project goes well." This is laughable, they were hard enough to get ahold of the first time, they never came out to give an estimate as agreed in first phone call and then they give me an attitude when I go out of my way to give them a detailed video instead of crappy pictures. Obviously I am proceeding with someone else, but this was a weirdly disappointing experience. This business is blacklisted and blocked in my books and they are not welcome to bid of any of my work, ever. I find it weird they have so many other 5 star reviews that contradict the experience I had so I am exercising my first amendment right to share what happened with me. P.S. I can tell team is not tech savvy with the basics when they request info from you, i.e., you cannot play a video inside a zip file, you have to unzip first.

However, it didn't take too much time to finish the project. I appreciate how they integrated the existing roof line into the new roof. You can't tell it was even there. I regret that I didn't simply leave the situation there, keep my old shower stall door/frame kit, and save $1K. However, at the time (June 2024), I had high hopes that Aaron could become my general contractor, for me to eventually hire to renovate my kitchen & bathrooms upstairs. So I hired him to test him, with 5 specific projects: 1) Basement Shower Stall Door/Frame: - Given I was a new homeowner, I had no idea what I was doing, told him as much, and asked for his help. I measured the shower stall, told him some ideas of that for which I was looking, and - given he's a General Contractor, who told me he's originally from New Jersey, and was hired to renovate an entire house in Mill Valley, CA (posh NorCal) during the pandemic, I mistakenly trusted him. He told me to find shower stall kits on HomeDepot.com, have it delivered to the store, then he'd pick it up at the store in his truck, and remove my old shower stall door/frame. What he failed to do was verify the kit I sent him - before ordering - matched the measurements, after I specifically asked for his guidance/help, and he offered to help me. Then - worse yet - he was unethical, unlike my neighborhood handyman, as he never told me during the install that it was the wrong measurement / size, for that shower, installed it anyway, removed my old shower door/frame/kit, without discussing this with me, told me to get out of his way and go upstairs and "trust him," then I realized after he left that it was the wrong size. Worse yet? He removed the tile, grout, caulk, and new paint, and when I contacted him to fix it in June 2024 - before my July 2024 Breast Cancer Diagnosis, hence the delay - he never replied to come fix it. 2) Crawl Space Access Door: - Same goes for this. He told me he has a jigsaw, so he could fix the wood frame and install the door properly around it, that I'd already purchased through my HVAC contractor, only to leave the wood in piece meal around it, allowing bugs to enter my home, which was the entire point of his work. Then he sloppily sprayed fire foam around it, and it looks significantly worse than if I'd just hired my neighborhood handyman with a day rate less than half of Aaron's to do it, in the first place, who I now need to hire to fix it, including creating a wooden frame with a proper fit, flush screws, and a cement bottom, to match the wall. My handyman quoted me $187.50 for 1.5-hours for this specific project. 3) Bedroom Vent: - When my HVAC technician moved one of the vents in my primary bedroom, the base board needed to be patched, as well as the carpet. Aaron bought the wrong base board at the wrong Home Improvement shop, told me that was the only option, only for my neighborhood handyman to tell me - yet again - that Aaron was wrong/lied to me, and that my current baseboard is still replaceable with an exact match, so yet again, I need to hire my neighborhood handyman to fix Aaron's work. 4) Kitchen Calendar Wall Hook: - I know this was simple, but while he was here, I thought he could help me make this more secure, but - yet again - my neighborhood handyman had to re-do it. 5) Flag Anchor Front Porch: - Yet again this was done with the wrong hardware, that was not aesthetically pleasing, so my neighborhood handyman re-did it. Overall, it's not just the fact that Aaron's rate was near double my neighborhood handyman, it's not just the fact that he made numerous mistakes, after reassuring me I could trust him, as I told him these were test projects for bigger scale work, it's the fact of how Aaron handled the mistakes, by ignoring me, hiding the shower door mistake, and refusing to fix the mistakes, over 1-year later. Whereas, my neighborhood handyman has made mistakes before, and he owns up to them, and fixes them without any issues. We're all human. :)

To boot, he's a nice, friendly guy as is his nephew Jayden who assisted on the last day of the project. Highly recommend.
