(And as we all know, there are always bumps in renovation) Long story, short-thier company did not have the correct licensing to work on my condo but assured me there were no problems. Even to the point that I had moved out of my apartment to get out of the way of a demo crew only to find out that they couldn't do the work and had to cancel three days later. At that point, they had already marked up the walls and floors to where I would need to bring in repairmen to patch the drywall and carpeting. To add insult to injury, when I tried to find a new contractor and plumber, KK & B were incredibly rude to me and the new company. We asked if we could purchase the fixtures through them to avoid further delay. Jonathan from KK& B was actually yelling and threatening both to me and to my new contractor who had graciously offered to get the parts from these other guys given the time crunch. As an update, KK& B sold me the fixtures at a 15% markup and refused to give me back my $500 deposit even thought they did no work on my home siting trips the permit office that resulted in nothing. It cost me a lot of money to try and work with these guys only to hire a different ( better) contractor in the end.

I have to echo to NEVER use this company! They installed a custom shower stall with a new shower…read morepan and tile surround. The tiled curb and pan failed within a year and resulted in water damage to the ceiling below. They also made rookie mistakes such as forcing the new drain pipe assembly down too far, buckling the ceiling below. All of this was "repaired", but under strong duress where the owner, Steve, blamed us for the failure of his pan/tile work. Now it all has failed AGAIN... less than 3 years after the initial install and less than 2 years after they "fixed" it all. So, I just spent a bunch of money having it ripped out and done correctly - the new contractor discovered that the waterproof membrane was originally installed incorrectly by Kreative Kitchens - including cuts and slits in the membrane around the curb. Not very waterproof as it turns out. And, they used drywall where concrete board should have been used. All along, Kreative Kitchens has been unprofessional, difficult to work with and blamed us for all of the problems with their work. I would NEVER use Kreative Kitchens or work with Steve Lujan again. Never. Ever.

They wasted 3 weeks of our time as we waited patiently. They clearly kept stringing us along with "we would have it in a couple days".. So much for wanting to support our local companies. I would NOT recommend them as they just give a lot of lip service and we feel perhaps they were more interested in larger jobs, just wish they would have told us this 3 weeks ago.

Buerger Brothers Construction built an addition to our home, which included a 700+ square foot garage, using concrete poured on Piers and a floor poured as a "Slab on void" due to bad soils report. They also built a new deck, and managed front yard landscaping. They are an honest, ethical, professional, and an excellent company to do business with. We started planning in May of 2019, with construction from June through October of 2020, we found ways to work during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Communicating with Christian was a breeze, he was easy to talk to, responsive, professional and truly cares about what you are conveying. Because I am a retired engineer I had to stick my nose into everything... From the beginning he brought in professionals from the Architect, Structural Engineers to the finishing Carpenter and Painter, each step was amazing and all within budget. The cadre of subcontractors hired by Burger Brothers had to meet a high standard of professionalism and produce a high quality product, they were all wonderful to work with. Of note, was the daily cleanup, the care taken and the security to the existing area, especially working in the midst of a pandemic! Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and in the end we can actually say the complete project went quite smoothly and was a great experience. Would I hire them to do it again? Absolutely "In a heartbeat, no doubt about it!" I just cannot brag enough about this company and I promise you will not regret your decision to hire Christian and his crew! I could go on and on, but you get the gist.... if you want honesty and professionalism, these are your guys! Without hesitation I would recommend them and would hire them again to do any construction project.

I relied on the website inventory and pickup information for two separate tile purchases. One…read moreproduct was listed as available in-store but could not be located. After ordering it online, I received a notification that it was ready for pickup, but store staff advised it would not arrive for another 7-10 days. During the same visit, another tile was listed as having over 5,000 pieces available, while store staff indicated only about 400 could be found. The conflicting inventory and pickup information resulted in multiple unnecessary trips and significant time lost during an active home renovation project. Customers and store associates appear to be working with inaccurate information. This system needs to be fixed and in the meantime, there needs to be a notice on the website that the system is down.

We had an outstanding experience with A2Z Builders and our project manager, Noam Bar-On…read more They transformed the unfinished portion of our basement -- which previously had bare concrete floors, an awkward HVAC unit hanging in the middle of the ceiling (that I constantly bumped my head on), and a poorly defined utility area -- into a thoughtfully designed, highly functional space. What was once an uncomfortable, underutilized area is now a beautiful basement with a dedicated office, a workout space, and a much better-sized, well-organized utility room. In addition, they replaced all of our carpet with hardwood floors throughout the main level, and the results are amazing. The craftsmanship and finish quality exceeded our expectations -- the house feels completely elevated and refreshed. Noam was exceptional throughout the entire process. They were patient with me while I worked with the insurance company and even let me know that they have a department in-house that will handle that part for you. When everything was set on my end they went to work right away and did an amazing job. There was a delay getting a window delivered but they kept me in the loop and answered all my check-ins and they got the window installed as soon as it arrived. Everyone I talked to was so kind, I've never experienced such quality service in the construction field. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

The overall process took approximately eight weeks, largely due to design misunderstandings and…read morecommunication delays. Communication during the design phase was not strong, and each round of clarification often took 2-3 days before receiving a response. After my deposit was made, I had to proactively follow up multiple times to schedule measurements. Nearly two weeks passed before measurements were coordinated. Following that, I again had to repeatedly follow up to schedule the layout meeting. During the layout and design review, there were misunderstandings around the vanity top details, which resulted in additional revisions and ultimately delayed the project by another three weeks. This extended the overall timeline to eight weeks -- longer than should be expected for a project of this scope using customer-owned material. My recommendation to future customers: be extremely clear on all design specifications upfront, document everything in writing, and plan for additional time if your project requires design input or revisions.
