I went for the Thai Massage with Rawiwan. The massage room is inside the chiropractor's office, which is inside a building with other offices. It is quite sizable. the office has very good vibes, with lots of inspirational quotes, friendly pictures, and clean atmosphere. They also sell some raw honey that Dr. Paul apparently makes (is that the term? harvest?) himself. Love me some local honey! I got a jar and am glad I did. I'll be getting another jar soon. Anyway, on to the massage. The 1-hour massage lasted the full one hour (and then some). She uses hot stones, hot towels, and I'm not sure how she does it, but she doesn't reach out to get oil but somehow has it coming out as she's working on you with both hands! Like Spiderman or something. It was really cool. A really, very good massage. Talk to her and let her know if you need her to adjust strength and she gets on it right away. I'd be coming here regularly if I lived a little closer.

He provided the care and expertise I needed to heal and manage my ongoing discomfort. His adjustments are always effective, and he takes the time to listen and tailor treatments to my needs. Dr. PK is also fantastic - an expert at his craft and is phenomenal at adjustments. Both doctors' specialities complement each other well - so I am equally as excited to see PK because I get a really good adjustment. I've also had the pleasure of working with Amelia for deep tissue massage, and she is truly incredible. She has an intuitive approach and works wonders in releasing tension and pain. It is really easy to get on their schedule and the appointment management system is really easy for me to adjust appointments and rebook as needed. I first saw them in March 2019 for some upper right back pain, and though it took a few months of adjustments, rehab, etc., I was feeling 100% back to normal around June. I went from not even being able sit down or take an Uber comfortably to back in the gym weight lifting and thriving. Since then, I started paying for their monthly wellness plan ($90 a month for one 30 minute massage and a chiro adjustment), and it's the best money I've ever spent. Marissa is an incredible massage therapist! She always does a great job working on my neck and upper shoulders where I hold a lot of my tension​. I can't say enough about this place. Dr. Kneessi is the sweetest soul -- I love her adjustment style, and she takes the time to listen to everything affecting me, even all of my mental health items​ and other stress going on that I know relate​ to my pain. They're truly holistic in nature, and take time to teach/educate you, which I can more than appreciate. I loved learning why I was feeling the way I was. So knowledgable. The TL;DR is that the information she provided was horribly misguided and showed her lack of knowledge in weight loss issues with someone who is in their 50s struggling to lose weight. She was also incredibly rude and condescending. During our first meeting, she spent a ridiculous amount of time reviewing a confusing chart that she had difficulty explaining when she could have bottom-lined it in a few minutes. That left only a short amount of time to discuss calorie/macro goals, so we had to schedule a second apt. since we only had time to discuss breakfast. She REALLY needs coaching on time management, to not be able to discuss essential items like a food plan in an initial meeting is unacceptable. During the second apt, she sent me the zoom link after our starting time -- which is extremely frustrating since there were technical issues. I usually sign in a few minutes early when I have a link to work through any issues. I wanted to get straight to the calorie/macro information. She wasn't at all prepared for the meeting and asked if I was the wrong height and weight and then said, "oh, that's someone else" After giving her the correct weight and answering other questions, she took several minutes to calculate a calorie goal -- I could have done this by Googling a similar chart. My goal with working with a dietitian is to have someone with enough knowledge to put context and details around this information. She gave me ridiculous numbers for maintenance and weight loss calories. I had an overall idea of how much I should be eating due to going to a weight loss spa and losing 35 lbs based on the plan they gave me. When I told her this, instead of asking insightful questions, she was completely condescending, TELLING me that the calorie range I stated could lead to muscle loss and that there are more important things than just the numbers on the scale. Well, for me, right now the number on the scale IS the most important thing, I'd like to get 20-30 libs off and then I can start thinking about incorporating a muscle building plan -- She was soooo disrespectful of my goals. She's a bit cocky for someone with only a year out of school under her I'm so disappointed since I've had a great experience with Dr. Dever a chiropractor and with Dr. Toth - an integrative dr. I've been an Aligned customer for 15+ years and this is my first bad experience. Mikaela gives Aligned a bad name.
