We were at Alta Plaza park as usual on a weekend morning with our toddlers and saw Rachel at a nearby birthday party in the park - imagine a group of toddlers, all happy and entertained, while their parents could peacefully enjoy a break and smile watching their happy kids. All in a pretty contained small space in a part of the park. I was kinda blown away. We went up to her, got her card, called her, and hired her for our daughter's birthday party in the park. I am so thankful for the amazing rachel! We were scheduled to have my daughter's 5th birthday at a local park, and I hired her to do some facepainting/magic, etc with the kids. She was easy to plan with and responded very quickly to my questions.The week of the party, we realized that our party was going to get rained out. We relocated to my aunt's basement which was a little small for the number of kids we had invited. THANK GOD FOR RACHEL. I don't know how I would have kept the kids entertained in that small space. I was worried because I was at a loss for what to do with X amount of kids, all different ages, most of them being on the shy side. She worked with me and told me she'd do a variety of things--and that she did! I cannot recommend Rachel highly enough! She entertained at my son's 4th b-day party as Wonder Woman. She was amazing to work with from start to finish. Very professional, even offered me a costume choice so she wasn't a too-revealing wonder woman. She confirmed our party the day before, arrived on time and was ready to go. After attending many children's parties and hosting them myself, I learned this past Sunday, that there a two types of children's party "entertainers". The first are the ones that dress up as your favorite character, put on a mask, stand and wave not uttering a single word while a tape recorder does the talking for them.(which it totally out of sync by the way). And then there is Rachel, a True Entertainer, and WOW, we were, adults and children, were completely impressed. She came in as a Pirate and never broke character, not even once. When she arrived, she quickly accessed the situation, rounded up the children up with pirate talk, and began to make pirates balloon swords which the children loved and played with throughout the party, followed by awesome face painting and I am not talking about a simple happy face and rainbow. Her work was very detailed and she handled everything with ease. On a side note, I had to reschedule the location of the party due to rain, and Rachel was very professional about it. The Amazing Rachel made our daughter's third birthday so incredibly special. Not only did my daughter have an amazing time, all of her friends did too. We got so many compliments from parents saying how talented Rachel was, and every bit of it was spot on! She was so very talented. Rachel was a perfect fit for our needs! We threw an UNO party (and infant's first birthday) and Rachel was very easy to collaborate with. A big plus is that her website is very easy to navigate and understand. Although she offers many different packages, she was super collaborative and accommodating and customized her entertainment based on the flow of the actual party itself. She is also a very good texter which makes for convenient communication. We hired her for 2 hours for face painting + balloon making + general entertaining of about 10-15 kids ranging in ages from 2 - 6 (and even a couple of pre-teens!). Rachel is extremely professional, timely and considerate. I really enjoyed having her and would hire her again for any other function . She made beautiful balloons that the children loved + her artwork was very very nice. The kids had a great time. The disco queen arrived early to our roller disco party in full eighties regalia AND rocking her own roller skates. We had 30 kids. She face painted (elaborate full face stuff), made balloon animals (huge fairy wings & Alice in Wonderland HUGE flowers), helped skitish kids learn to skate, danced with them to the hokey pokey (ON SKATES)...the list goes on. Just to be clear - those 30 kids got face paint AND an elaborate balloon animal. Not "or" folks! She was like lightening or magic or something. I hired her for my son's 3rd birthday party to do balloon animals and face painting for his little friends. She was an absolute thrill for the kids - anything that the kids requested she would make from Dinosaurs, to fairy wings, McQueen the car, drag racers, and Thomas the train. The face painting that she does is also amazing. For instance, one little boy wanted to be a lion and she did an amazing transformation with face painting and balloons to make him look just like a lion.
