I was so sick, my husband found me on the steps because I was too weak to get upstairs. I was changed the full amount of my appointment, despite the website saying it was only half the cost. I called the salon and was told the cancellation policy changed since re-opening but they did not change their website. This is a terrible policy. My choices were to go to my appointment sick or lose my money. I understand I did not show up for my appointment but I was terribly sick and was trying to keep others safe.

She did my hair the best by far, so I was willing to drive the distance. I asked for her by name, took an inconvenient time, and was willing to make it work, because she's that good. When I get to this location, there's only one girl there, who seems pretty busy on the computer, so I stand and wait a while to tell her my name, and who I have my appointment with. Then she tells me that my girl has been sent to a 3rd location that day, and wasn't there. She said it showed in the notes that I had requested her by name, but that I hadn't "locked her in." WHAT? No one has ever mentioned that terminology to me, and I've been a member for about a year. So now I've fought the traffic, driven a good distance, have parked in a parking garage (not my fave), and my favorite stylist ever, is not there, and no one has bothered to fill me in because I had not "locked her in." The lone girl there did my hair, and did a fine job, but it was a little bit awkward for both of us, as she knew how eager I was to have had my hair done by her colleague. I just needed to vent about this aggravation, and their sorry policy that i knew nothing about. I still have no idea what I would need to do to "lock" someone in, as the girl didn't explain it to me. Grrr...

My highlight color was brassy, chunky in placement and I honestly was embarrassed to even wear it down. I had to have it corrected by a color specialist and have had 2 appts so far. 1 more to go - so I don't ruin my hair. Had to cut off an additional 5 inches of hair due to how bad the color was. I told the stylist, Maggie, this - and asked for a partial refund. She said sure, by the end of the week she would. I sent a reminder on Friday morning, she responded saying she would do it asap - and she never sent anything. Then responded again around 6 pm saying she would send it and that it was a really busy day, yet never sent it even after that. Having a new baby, the holidays, and going back to work after maternity leave and now I have to find a spare 8-10 hours to sit in a salon (not an easy task) to have my hair fixed over a month and spend about $800. I think if the DryHouse cared about the fact they messed up, a refund would not have even had to be mentioned, but something that would be done out of courtesy. At this point, I'll just move on but wanted to share my experience.

I don't think I'm too picky, and the only thing I really asked was to ensure I could still tie my hair up for workouts, so she was great about taking that and turning it into a great cut! She added some curls to my blowout to ensure that it would stay for a little extra time. I've never gotten a blowout before and was really happy with the results!
