Addy's is a cute liquor store with some really innovative ideas. The store is not really close to my house so I had not heard of them before Besides the obvious stuff in a liquor store they had a cute table of gifts when you walked in. They also had promotions like mix and match your own case of High Noons, cool if you want to try more than 1 flavor. The entry way was also lined with frozen and unfrozen alcoholic freezie pops. Perfect and ready to take to a summer gathering. These were sold in packs or individually. It is nice to be able to try new products and be able to customize the assortments. The store is big, cheery and clean. The staff is friendly and super helpful. Everyone was wearing a mask and there was plenty of room if there were a lot of shoppers. I came across Addy's when a friend found them on Instagram advertising a Virtual Wine Seminar. The seminars take place on Zoom and are a great way to try something new and have some human interaction during covid. This particular seminar was a blind tasting and the theme was can you tell the difference between a $6 and $20 bottle of wine? The cost was $55 for 4 full sized bottles of wine. They even offered free delivery if you lived in the area. Since I am farther away I called in advance and asked if they would be willing to prepare a package ahead of time for me if I wanted to pick it up? They said it was not a problem. Upon pick up I received 4 bottles of wine packaged in a cute bag. All the wines were wrapped up and labeled so the label was concealed for the tasting. A store associate was very helpful and went over all the directions with me for the day of. The tasting was easy to follow and fun! The day of the event you are told of a wine needs to be chilled, opened beforehand to breathe, etc. The zoom meeting was an hour long and hosted by a sommelier. The host was informative and asked for a lot of audience participation. The only call out I have about the whole night is that an hour isn't much time to get through 4 wines. It would be nice to have a pre taped option if you wanted to take your time and drink the wines slower. Apparently they offer different themes of these virtual tastings every few weeks! A great date night or way to catch up with friends. I would absolutely recommend! read more

I went on a little field trip today for some "mafia sauce" and I was very happy to be able to acquire a bottle. The process was a bit cumbersome but worth it. Initially their social media account said to send a message or call to get on the list for a bottle. After my message went unanswered for a day I called on my day off and they said they were no longer taking names to just come in as bottles were now sold on a first come first come service. I decided to head out and go on a little field trip. The store is very easy to find and very nice. There are tons of options and there's a customer service desk right when you walk in. That makes it much easier to find what you need. The "mafia sauce" wasn't out on display. I had to ask for it and upon doing so I was informed that could only purchase one bottle. I disliked that because I would have gotten my coworker her bottle but I couldn't. However I understand. (I've learned to accept limitations in the midst of this pandemic). Hopefully there's enough to go around so everyone can try some. The cashier said someone told her it has a citrus grapefruit taste and so far she'd only heard good things about it. I'm excited to crack it open for the next game!! read more

Addy's is located adjacent Wegmans, and for the first time recently, I decided to check it out. Parking was designated for the store so that wasn't an issue. It was an impressive warehouse-looking store with a hipster vibe to it, not quite Premium Wine and Spirits down the street size. The entrance had a Buffalo-themed display which had a welcoming appeal, and hand sanitizer was available. Upon entering, the sense of volume of products was borderline intimidating. Or maybe it was the super high ceiling. I was on a mission to select a dinner wine for someone with a sweetish palate. I navigated though the aisles a couple of times and never had anyone approach me for help until at checkout the cheerful cashier asked if I found what I was looking for. I didn't really. She quickly summoned a friendly associate who directed me to where he thought all the white Zinfandel wines were. Must be an unpopular choice as it was pretty limited but I found something. The aisles were uncluttered and the high-up signage was visible with products organized by region including many local wines. I'd try Addy's again if I was nearby. read more

Had another wine tasting here last night and was very pleased with the staff working and the displays. Their rose display is really wonderful. They also have an excellent selection of cans here now which is great for summer. Their fine wine room is filled with great wines as well. read more

Popped in here recently because I saw a sign out front - 20% off 12 bottles wine. Well, you know that got my attention. I gather they moved to this location (next to Wegmans on Transit) from another one, but I've only been to this new spot. They are still getting stocked up, however they have a wide variety of choices none the less. The 20% off can be a case of the same wine or it can be a total mix of bottles, that's a great way to try a ton of things. And find one you go back for a case of. I found pricing ok, not the best in town, but with 20% off it works out. Reasonably good and easy parking. They carry cases out for you. read more

I came here after Premier turned me away since I didn't know I couldn't have my 15-year-old brother with me when I was buying alcohol. (I'm guessing that's a rule or something. I don't buy alcohol ever so I had no clue.) The cashier suggested I come here, so I did (while leaving my brother in the car this time). I had to shop for some Christmas presents for my girlfriends, and after my experience here, the next time I need a bottle of wine for something/someone I'm going to check this place out! Compared to Premier this place was a bit less intimidating to a person who couldn't tell you the first thing about wine. While they don't have the widest of wide selections here, I'd say they have a pretty fair variety - they've got all the popular wine types, and even local wines. I found some nice bottles of Niagara Landing for only around $9 each, cheaper than when I bought them from Premier in the past. I bought a pair of them and my girlfriends absolutely loved them! The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They didn't end up having a brand that I'd found at Premier, but were apologetic for the fact that they didn't carry it (and like I said, I went with the Niagara Landing and it ended up being the better choice anyway). My cashier was super chill and it made me feel even better about shopping here! read more

First of all: they are open past 9:00pm. That is worth an extra star right there. Located next to the ever-so-popular Consumers, and down the street from Premier, you'd think that the market was saturated --or drunk-- with liquor vendors. Not so. This place seems to have carved out their niche with the late night market, as they do sell both wine and liquor, AND they are open late. Who says you can't have it all? Prices were great, too! Made off with a bottle of Mirrasou Pinot Noir for $8. Yes, that's right -- $8. It was on sale, but still. At those prices, get two. Also couldn't help but pick up couple of those single serving bottles at the cash register. You know the ones. Quite a selection of top shelf liquors to choose from. As a girl, I can get away with buying one salted caramel Stoli, one chocolate coconut Stoli, and one honey Stoli. At three for $3, I'll be stuffing those in my purse on the way to the airport. I found a gin I'd been looking for for several years and could never find (score!), a great bottle of bourbon, and a bottle of vermouth I've only read about. All for decent prices and with excellent service. Just goes to show you...shop local, shop at family-owned businesses! read more

I've been shopping at Addy's for a very long time because of their location and hours. I have to admit that I really love their new location, right next to Wegman's on Transit! They always seem to have everything I'm looking for and their staff has always been very courteous and have always displayed excellent customer service. Plus their owner is a super nice guy who you might run into from time to time in there! Just visited Abby's last night and grabs a few bottles of wine. Pretty large inside. They are still new so they don't have a ton of stuff in stock but enough where It wasn't noticeable to me persoanally. My boyfriend however wasn't a fan of the décor their stiock room is open and just cagesbin so you're able to view it...kinda a BJs feel but it didn't personally bother me. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We will certainly be back to grab some more wine / liquor ! read more

I like their choices of hard alcohol, liquor, champagne, and wines. But it is a limited selection but they do represent many of the local winery's in their selection, which gives it a nice touch to be able to enjoy the local selections. The prices are okay, not many selections under $10. They do have a selection of cold wines if you need it on the go!The service is helpful but it depends on who. Sometimes they have people very knowledgeable, and other times I leave more confused than going in. Overall, I like that it is next to Wegman's and near home for a 1 stop shop (well... they share the same parking lot). read more

Stopped into the new store today and was not disappointed! Within a minute I had a friendly staff member help me find a wine similar to a Chateuaneuf du Pape without breaking the bank. He showed me a Madrian LaPlace that not only is a fraction of the cost, but is even a little smoother. I think I like it even better than the Pape! Hopefully it is something they keep in stock, I'll need more soon!! read more

It's a good store with good selection and the pricing is on part with other stores. I also like the later hours. I'm looking forward to when they move down the street later this year to the renovated Wegmans on Transit Rd, which will give them a larger store to work with. read more
