Another time I waited 30 mins in the waiting room and 45 mins in the room waiting on the doctor. A couple other times I waited almost an hour. I thought at first this was a one off kinda situation. I doesn't seem to be that, it's the norm. All the staff are really nice, 5 stars for them. Something needs to be done to make things more efficient maybe, the wait times are inexcusable. They're always super duper running behind....even if you're the first appt of the day, they're still somehow going to be running behind.

She also presented all my options, reviewed the whole process step by step to post surgery recovery schedule and after conversing through it all, I felt confident I found my surgeon to do my boob job and scheduled surgery date a couple of weeks later. Surgery Day - I was ready! I was excited and had anxiety, too. Once Dr. Hwang walked into the room, I became calm and relieved where she started to outline my breasts for surgical prep. I had confidence in Dr Hwang's attention to detail and she truly understood what I wanted in the final results and executed it on point. Post Surgery - I will not lie that I was in discomfort, cried, struggled and hated most my restricted sleep position as part of the healing process but had to follow through on doctors instructions. Dr. Hwang was amazing. We were communicating daily via text and via the secure web platform where I uploaded breast pics, too. I felt I was in genuine care with Dr. Hwang and her responses were exactly what I needed - prompt, thoughtful, thorough and clear. I did experience a hiccup in the healing process for a breast a few weeks post surgery which is not uncommon and had to undergo a mini surgery to remedy the issue which was completed in her office. After this procedure, the healing went much more smoothly and without altering the breast aesthetic too much for it to be noticeable. It's 7 months post surgery and I'm so pleased with the final results and so is my longtime boyfriend, too! I'm so happy and in I love that my breasts have enhanced my body silhouette. I can see my waistline! Extremely happy with the results…read more I was diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia and started interviewing surgeons from Stanford, Sutter/PAMF, UCSF, and a couple of private doctors as well as checked local media for recommendations. I had read up on what procedures are available / watched the YouTube videos as well as the Doctors webpage so I had some idea of what I was in for. There are set protocols for further analysis of hiatal hernias after the usual endoscopy, esophagram/barium swallow but didn't make sense for my situation and scheduling procedures would have required a few months to get in. Luckily, Dr Zare reviewed the tests and my symptoms and knew what was needed and did not require further tests and was able to schedule me shortly after my first visit. Megan and staff provided fast, competent support and very quickly I was in for my laparoscopic paraesophageal surgery. All the other surgeons were more interested in following the protocol with additional tests that would have not provided any additional benefit (based on published clinical studies). Perhaps if they had reviewed more thoroughly my test results, they may have not warranted the additional motility tests. The surgery went as expected and only a partial toupet was performed that was very much appreciated based on latest surgical result data from my research. It is a painful procedure as incisions are made in the abs etc but appropriate meds made it a lot easier then having a full incision vs robotic. Trust is very important for me, as surgeons have to be able to make decisions in-the-moment and based on my discussions with Dr Zare and Megan, I felt very comfortable that I had made the right choices. When I heard that I was very very upset even though it happened about three years ago. My daughter, grandson's mom, immediately took him to pediatrician who examined the would and referred them to wound care center. What kind of surgeon can't recognize and diagnose a wet wound that needs immediate attention at wound care. My primary care physician Dr Hopner referred me to Dr Ngo after we discussed local Urologists. Dr Ngo and I met, discussed next step...MRI, that progressed to prostate needle biopsy, then robotic prostatectomy at El Camino hospital in Los Gatos. There are potential quality of life issues, lots of YouTube info and individual results vary...so my results are my results. I have had 100% bladder control since the catheter was removed on December 19, 2024. There are zero issues with any incontinence or ED side effects post surgery; an unexpected but pleasant outcome. Healing of incisions area is progressing, as is internal abdominal sensations. Pain from any coughing is now zero. No issues coughing, sneezing, standing or bending over. They placed an iv and the end of the tubing fell on the ground, they didn't even pick it up, I ended up doing this! I told the nurse(male) it had been sitting on the ground, he poo-pooed me and wasn't even going to rub the tip off with rubbing alcohol until I insisted. This alone gave me a very bad feeling. Additionally he was expected to be there at 6:30 am, but they didn't start the procedure till after 4pm! For an anxious patient they just added to the anxiety he already had. I also didn't see anyone use hand sanitizer or change their gloves when they needed to. I wouldn't go back there unless I was desperate and it was an emergency.
