A True Star at adidas -- Takeyah Deserves a Promotion! I want to take a moment to recognize Takeyah at the Michigan City adidas store. Her service was absolutely phenomenal. In a time when it's easy to feel like just another customer, she made me feel heard, valued, and supported. Takeyah went above and beyond to help resolve a frustrating situation -- not only was she patient and kind, but she also followed through in a way that restored my confidence in adidas as a brand. This wasn't just good service; this was exceptional leadership. In contrast to some of the poor treatment I experienced at the Aurora location from Josh and Selma (who could truly benefit from training under Takeyah's example), her grace and professionalism stood out even more. She turned a negative into a positive and showed what true customer care looks like. This is the kind of employee who builds lifelong loyalty and reflects the very best of the adidas brand. Not at all impressed here by service or shoe selection. Adidas is my go-to brand and I don't think I've owned another brand of athletic shoes in about 20 years. My son is a Nike person and for the first time I walked in to the Nike store (here at Lighthouse Place). There is a world of difference between these two. I could be a future convert. Adidas at 2 stars and Nike at a solid 4.5 and almost 5 stars. My reviews are based on 1) Service/Employees 2) Selection/Pricing 3) Cleanliness no matter a restaurant or retail store 4) Organization 5) Logistics of sales staff, checkout ease, and what employees do when faced with a problem. This place only did well in cleanliness and sale prices. One large drawback of the Adidas location here at Lighthouse Place is that it's off in a corner of the parking lot and usually easier to stop here by a separate car stop when arriving or leaving and not walking over here from the main mall itself. When I walked in I was greeted promptly as most of the associates were casually hanging out by the register area near the door. And the greeting was weak. More like a Hey, you walked in, rather than a Welcome, thanks for stopping in to see us, is there something specific I can assist you with? They could have cared less that we walked in the door. Ugh. I wear a size 13 or 14 shoe and a XXL in sports shorts or tshirts. There was very little here for me to choose from. Each time I found something I liked I then had to wander to find an associate and wait while the employee wandered to the front to use the computer to see if inventory showed they had one and then wander the store and the back room looking for my size. Often when inventory showed they had one, the end result was they couldn't find it. Really? The store was clean. And display areas on top of racks or shelving was always dust-free and nicely displayed. The prices of the things I did purchase were pretty low. Basic tshirts at $10, shorts and pants at $12. I wasn't able to find any shoes that fit as the 13's I tried were too small and they have no size 14's. I have been able to get a 14 easily at other Adidas locations and when I went to the Nike store in the same mall there were at least 10 different pairs of size 14 shoes. Went in for sale. Spent $164 and wasn't told that if i spent only $11 more dollars i would've gotten $30 more off my bill. Disappointed because i caught it after i paid and the cashier looked at me crazy like so what read more

Service was horrible. It kind of reminded me of those joke ads where 6 construction workers watch one workers do all the work. This weekend at the place, all their workers were standing around the three registers, but only one guy was working. At the registers, two were open and the customers were taking 10 minutes each with questions and issues, only two of the five were working, after ten minutes, I put down the $350 worth of stuff I was about to buy and walked out, read more

tonight as i was looking around in the adidas store in lighthouse place, a teenage employee followed me around as if i were going to steal the merchandise i had in my hands. instead, he and his coworkers should have been organizing the store...IT WAS A DISASTER! the only clear thing was where the mens & womens sections were separated--the main aisle. all the sizes in clearance were all mixed up and the shoes on clearance were not even close to where they should be according to the size labels on the wall. i've never seen this adidas outlet store so garbled. it was very hard to find anything in the size i was looking for so i ended up buying one item and leaving. the younger employees were just standing around while one older woman tried to organize some shirts. it was ridiculous. read more

I called and asked if they had a pair of SL 72 shoes in my size. The person on the phone said they did and he said they would be on hold until the next day. I drove from Chicago to the store and arrived just after they opened. The two people working could not locate my shoes that were on hold. I found two other pair and they gave me the mall employee discount of 10% off my purchase. read more
