First off, the staff.. Friendly enough, but they don't know what they're selling in some cases and the green ones just aren't trained properly. Ask a question about a specific item, and you'll, at-times, get a shrug, a guess, or a gentle push toward buying something they think might work. Other times, you'll get a jbiwkedgavbke individual who can be friendly. On one end, It's the kind of customer service that leaves you doubting your purchase the second you walk out; while on the other, you'll be happy enough. All is good enough to fit the norm and I would give it a high rating, but what really turned my head the other way, though, is the direction this store is heading. They quietly got rid of their firearms section, clearly as a political move to appeal to the mainstream. That might earn them points in certain circles, but let's be honest, sportsmen don't follow woke trends, and we don't check our rights at the door just to make people feel comfortable. If a true sporting goods store doesn't stand behind all aspects of the outdoor and sporting lifestyle, then what are they really selling? The salesperson did say that my orthotics from them can get reimbursed through insurance. If that's true, great if not, we have a problem if she gives out false information to customers. They FORCE the VIP club down your throat, it's disgusting. I would not come here again.

I had to duck in. Lots of Eagles Super Bowl swag, stickers, shirts and hats. I purchased Phils and Birds stickers and a really cool Phillies knit cap. Prices are way more competitive than I would've expected from a place located in the heart of the city. One interesting thing, while I was perusing the shop a person walked in and asked the employees "Do you sell anything aside from Philly teams?" The answer "Absolutely not". If I had been the one to purchase the gift, this would have been completely fine. But since it was a gift to me, it looks as if I returned the persons gift and didn't want it. When I kindly asked for a store credit, 4 employees all told me that they couldn't do that and there was in fact nothing that they couldn't do. I was happy to make the return and get another item but was declined, and when I was frustrated with this, the staff rolled their eyes at me. I had only heard great things about this store, but after this experience, I'm feeling upset and just taken aback. For $31, they can make that exemption, given the gift receipt was given, the item was fully tagged up, and the intentions were good. Unhappy that this is my first negative review I'm writing.

But even before, when I lived in Pennsauken and Collingswood, I still made the effort to come here for all things running related. I'm a lifelong runner, and a lifelong Haddonfield Running Company customer. I've never had a bad experience. The shoe selection is incredible. The staff know everything about them and can watch you run and help you pick out shoes based on your gait, your running history and goals, your past purchases, etc. They'll sit and work with you one-on-one to find the perfect shoe for you. They have a ton of other gear as well, of course. Everything you need to help you run. The owner, Dave Welsh, is one of the most outgoing and friendly guys you'll ever meet. He is constantly giving back to the community by sponsoring and/or personally organizing local events both out in the surrounding area and in the Haddonfield store. The store often hosts guest speakers in the basement of the store, or will invite shoe companies to bring their shoes to the weekly Wednesday night group run and let people test run their shoes for the whole 6.6 mile course. The store also does sidewalk sales a few times a year where they drastically reduce prices on shoes and other items. I once got a pair of Nikes for $40. Doesn't matter if you're a newbie runner or a veteran, everyone is welcome here. Stop in for the quality products and advice, stay for the amazing community of runners you'll find here.
