The staff was not initially alarmed because they said that it can become for dogs due to stress but then became alarmed by day 6 when Cindi reach out to me. Once I received this info, I was able to have our dog receive medication that same day from our vet & then seen by our vet the next morning. It was then that it was determined she was severely dehydrated & had lost 12 pounds therefore requiring intravenous iv to hydrate her. When I updated Cindi as to her condition I received a phone call from her upset with me because she felt I hadn't appreciated that they had gone "above & beyond" and had been very concerned about her. What Cindi failed to understand & I learned is that under the condition my dog was in I should've been alerted with 2 days to determine what was needed to be done & the fact that they waited 6 days to inform me was irresponsible on their part that could've led to a tragic outcome. Cindi has not reached out since to find out how my dog is. That speaks loudly about her and her establishment.

There's an adoption center and I believe they do grooming and possibly training classes(?). I went to buy dog food, and they had a GREAT selection at really decent prices. Locally-produced foods from anywhere ranging from New York State to Michigan, not China. Prices were very fair, employees were nice and super helpful, and their "if your pet doesn't like it, return it for a full refund" made me feel very comfortable trying a new brand. My dog loves the new food, too, so it's unlikely I'll switch back. I highly recommend this store. They're only open until 6pm most days, so make sure to get there earlier than later. Worth the trip.

Of course, I get severely upset when visiting pet stores that sell dogs and now can't even look in their windows. You are probably not as sensitive as I am. I have actually shopped here, against my better judgement. I fell in love with a young Syrian (teddy bear) hamster and had to bring her home. Two weeks later, she gave birth to eight pups, because this store apparently can't be bothered to segregate the small animals by sex. I could have just taken the pups back, but I couldn't bear to take them back there, so I separated the boys and girls at hamster puberty and found them homes myself.

She was so nice on the phone and was very informative from the haircut itself to the cost and the directions to the business. Her assistant Christina is very knowledgeable and super friendly. She does have cats but it didn't seem to bother any of my dogs or bother her while she was working. She took her time and you can really tell that she enjoys working with animals. The location is ideal for Niskayuna, Schenectady, Rotterdam, Altamont and Scotia residents as it is on Dodge Street for all grooming needs including cats and dogs. I'm only able to bring…read moreher once a week but when that day comes and I ask if she wants to go to daycare she perks up, starts spinning in circles and can't wait to get out the door. When I pick her up and bring her home she's exhausted, she gets on the couch and doesn't move for the rest of the night. Even the next morning it's hard getting her out of bed. The ladies that work here are great too. They're accommodating and very friendly. My dog doesn't need grooming but if she did I'd totally trust these guys! Niki (the owner) does a great job grooming from what I've seen. These ladies work hard too, they're there when I drop off and still there when I pick up after working a full 8 hour day and getting a quick workout in. And their prices are good
