We stopped in and the gal told us we should have booked on line - clearly we tried that and it didn't work! She told us how busy they were but they were empty! Amazing experience - had a relaxing foot massage pedicure with delightful presentation of relaxing essences. The best foot treatment I have experienced outside of Japan. A must experience while you are in the area. Also offer wonderful natural relaxing essences and arnica products from Germany. I can't recommend enough. We recently had a couples foot massage at the Adirondack Foot Sanctuary and could not have been more pleased with our experience! The minute we entered we were greeted by the owner, Christina, who got us set up for our massage. I had Melissa as a my massage therapist and couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was very warm and kind throughout the massage and very intuitive in tending to any unspoken needs. The owner Christina is a gifted healer and has created a sacred sanctuary for people to retreat from the chaos of the busy world where you can come to reconnect to yourself and truly leave feeling rebalanced and filled with peace. The energy of this space is extraordinary and filled with magic and love. It is rare to find a place with this kind of energy and is all a result of Christina's pure heart, intention and incredible gifts. She is a rare gem who is so needed right now! This was a cool experience and definitely a first for all of us. The idea and thought of focusing on one's feet was a no brainer for all of us. The foot scrub, the scalp massage and the warm towel wraps were great. The reason I'm not giving my review five stars is because we felt the experience was a little noisy and hard to focus at times. With only a curtain blocking the treatment room and the front of the store, you could hear people talking, the door opening and closing, phones ringing. I have been on vacation in Lake Placid this week and did a lot of hiking/touring with my family. While walking through town I passed The Foot Sanctuary and immediately stopped to make an appointment for the "Rejuvenation Ritual + a little extra love (aka... pedicure)." It was amazing!! Highest recommendation! This was our first visit. We'd hiked 3 trails the day before and the complete Henry's Woods plateau plus loop right before our appointment. I chose the Sun-Kissed Summer package and my husband chose Complete Zen. HEAVENLY. Our sore and tired feet and lower legs were soaked, massaged, wrapped in heated towels, and treated better than we've ever treated them! My package also included a scalp massage. Oh, my. Everything about the business is designed to relax and soothe. 100% success. We hike Adirondack trails and mountains 1-2 times per year. We should've included a visit to the Adirondack Foot Sanctuary long before this. We will be including a visit from now on. read more

Great service, poor integrity. Melissa was a wonderful host, but I can't recommend this place after Christine, the owner or manager, quoted me $85 (two people splitting a 60 min service with one technician, which was her idea and "very popular") over the phone, then charged $100 following our service. When given the opportunity to revert to the price she communicated, she wouldn't make eye contact but just muttered to her employee that 30 min was $50. This was when all of us were within a few feet of each other. This demonstrated immaturity and poor integrity, an unfortunate combination for a person of her age and experience. The employees were wonderful - but I suggest, if possible, for there to be a bit more privacy and a more calming atmosphere. The facility was very tiny. The service was OK. Oh my gaaaaaawwwwwd. Where do I begin? I was thrilled to be able to get in the day of my departure as I needed a bit of pampering. I was greeted by my therapist, Melissa, while waiting for her to finish her prior appointment with a cheery and heartfelt welcome. Then I experienced the sanctuary, and let me tell you, it is indeed a sanctuary. You can feel your worries and stress melt away immediately upon entering the candlelit room filled with plush couches, arm chairs, and pillowy foot stools. I got the 60 minute treatment and could not be happier! Every part about my experience was heavenly: warmed neck pillow wrap and aromatherapy spray, rejuvenating exfoliating leg scrub, lavender and sea salt leg soak (which happens while you get an amazing neck, scalp, and shoulder massage), warmed mud leg mask, cooling mint rinse, and then the finale-a long and well-executed reflexology leg and foot massage. As if the establishment itself alone isn't noteworthy, Melissa (the head therapist) really made my experience one to remember. She truly enjoys what she does and it shines through in her service and delivery of one of the best spa experiences I have had. My partner's mother wanted to get pedicures while our family went hiking. It was my first time getting anything like this done so I was a little nervous but soon realized there was nothing to be nervous about. We walked in and were treated like royalty. When checking in with the front desk they gave us a little foot roller, a hot stone, and some cucumber water! Then we had the actual massage and pedicure. Everyone was so nice and made sure we were comfortable. They explained everything they were doing and gave us options for what scents we wanted, and had options for eye masks, pillows, water temperature, and blankets! They really thought of everything. Everything about this place deserves 5 stars!! My boyfriend and I did a long hike and came here to rest our feet after. Our feet felt amazing after the soak and massage. This place is amazing! I have visited previously, but this was my first time in a few years. It was even better than I remembered. From the moment you enter, there is a feeling of relaxation. We were in Lake Placid for the lake placid 70.3 iron man and discovered this gem right next to our hotel. My boyfriend was doing the iron man on Sunday and he's right foot was hurting him. We weren't sure what to expect but decided to give it a try. The owner and staff were super friendly and accommodating to make sure we were relaxed and comfortable and the treatment met our individual needs. My husband and I both booked 60 min foot massages and didn't regret one minute. He went with the Balsam Forest and I had the Lake Flower's Aroma. Staff is all very friendly and professional. The entire experience was so positive, with lovely staff, an incredibly calming and relaxing environment, and high quality service. I was overwhelmed by the attention to detail from the blankets, to neck wraps, spritz of calming oils and warm tea during the treatments. Earlier today my boyfriend and I got the balsam treatment which included a head, neck, shoulder, leg, and foot massage! Melissa was a phenomenal therapist who worked on us both. She made us feel super comfortable and relaxed. I was scrambling to find a massage for the both of us before our trip up north and was so happy and appreciative of their promptness, communication, and customer service even before the day of our appointment. My sister booked me a surprise appointment (not knowing I had injured my foot the evening prior). I found out the night before the appointment after they were closed. I called 5min after they opened the next morning to explain that my 4:30pm appointment needed to be cancelled and explaining I would pay a cancellation fee (but just didn't want it charged to my sister's card, so I would have her bring my card with her to her appointment to pay the fee). The woman on the phone proceeded to tell me I was being disrespectful to her entire career, business, and staff by cancelling since I wasn't "dead or dying" and asking why I still wouldn't get the procedure. I continued to explain that I had an open wound on my foot and did not think it was sanitary for myself or her staff to perform anything, and she continued to persist and tell me I was jeopardizing her business and that after 25years of a career she had the authority to tell me my injury was not a good enough excuses over the phone. Again, I was clear I was willing to pay a cancallation fee--wasn't asking to get out of that--I just wanted to let them know about the cancellation with as much notice as I could. After 3minutes of back-and-forth, woman on the phone would not let me hang up until I said that I was happy with her "win-win" of me paying only half price as a cancellation because my answer of "so, happy to pay what ever cancellation fee you'd like, but this conversation was kind've hostile and unnecessarily combative so I can't say I'm happy with the service" was not acceptable. read more
