I was highly disappointed with this company for many different reasons. We were a party of 8 women…read moregoing for a ladies wine weekend and planned to go for a few wine tasting. We asked for a bus to accommodate our size party and requested a bus with a bathroom. The organizers of our trip booked the bus for 9.5 hours and sent our itinerary to you ahead of time with the hopes of the driver having it. Well, the driver (Jason) while very nice, was about 30 minutes late for pick up. Didn't have any itinerary, had no idea if the bus had a bathroom and was unaware of how to operate the radio. Every winery we left he turned in the wrong direction to go to the next place, having to turn around everytime. We also did not feel that he was a confident enough driver for the mountainous roads. When the trip organizer called (Dave) they were given $200 as a refund for the 1.5 hours we returned home early, but that was it! After paying $1800, being set back with all of our reservations, having to be the drivers GPS, and not being able to fully enjoy their time that day! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! I recommend finding another company as they are unprofessional and did not at all care about the service they provided to us that was subpar.

Can't blame them after dealing with really rude college kids, especially on crazy nights out. The University bus loop comes around very frequently and you can go anywhere within 30 minutes. After 5:30pm, the bus stops going to the main bus stop. On Monday-Saturdays, you can sit in the OPT main office to wait for your bus. The Cooperstown comes every 2 hours on Saturdays. And the Southside bus only begins running at 12 noon on weekends and stops running at 5:30pm. It would be fantastic if there could be a Southside bus that runs later into the night for people that have stuff to do during the day. There is a bus tracker app so you don't need to stand in the cold waiting for a bus!

If you ever visit Oneonta, you can be instantly shuttled to Cooperstown and visit Glimmerglass Opera, or the Ommegang Brewery or Baseball Hall of Fame. Or ride to Otsego and surrounding towns. I love walking to town and jumping on the Southside bus - that hits all the good stores in the mall, with the addition of stopping at the Hannaford, as well as BB&B, the movies, Office Depot, and {ugh} Wal-Mart! Alternatively, one could get their daily walk in (about 45 minutes to Hannaford from the SUNY campus) and then pick up the bus back. The SUNY campus has a couple stops, one at the library and the other near Alumni Hall and the dorms. When the kids come back from school, I hear the bus drivers drive them a little farther so they don't have to walk all the way to the dorms with heavy suitcases. Nice! They have cool schedules. Running every half-hour, all the buses meet together on Main St., so they totally always are sitting together for 5 minutes. Student rate is $1. What else? The Drivers are extremely friendly, courteous, laid back and have always been out-of-their way friendly to me. But they don't stop for latecomers!

There have been several incidents where I've heard stories that sound like nightmares. I haven't had horrible experiences here, but I can't say that service is excellent. You're in a town where there is no competition, so don't expect much. I came here with a ticket Trailways mailed me after writing to them about their bad customer service back in NYC and this location was about to turn it down and tell me they cannot accept it. Hm. You must buy tickets in person in order to receive student discount. There are many snacks, notebooks, and sudoku books in this trailways for in-ride entertainment. Everything is decently priced. I'd suggest getting snacks that look like they've been flying off the shelves (like their strawberry Poptarts) because there are some things that look a bit old. There are a few chairs inside to stay warm in the winter during the hours Trailways office is open. There are also toilets. I was surprised that Trailways has busses that bring you all the way to Alaska from a tiny town like Oneonta.

Driver was clearly on some type of substance or alcohol because he would yell and everyone for talking while the bus was silent. He clearly was hearing things. The bus we were on left the New York Port Authority at 2:20 pm with stops in Neeark, Binghamton and Syracuse. The bus number is 87248. This man clearly shouldn't be behind the wheel of any vehicle especially being responsible for many passengers. VERY disrespectful and very disappointing. We will never be riding with Greyhound again and I STRONGLY suggest you dont either.

The first bus driver on the attached trip from Syracuse to NYC did a great job; he was polite, helpful, and handles difficult passengers well. There was however an issue with the ticket; 1. I was never told I was transferring to a Coach line nor did it say that anywhere on the ticket. 2. The Coach line bus left at 6:50pm not 7:50pm like it says on the attached itinerary; Daylight Saving Time glitch in your software? 3. The above issues caused me have to sprint through the bus station as I almost missed the bus. Not a fun/easy thing to do when you are over 45! 4. I was not told there is no bus station in my destination city nor was I provided a list of stops. The Coach Line bus driver was beyond inappropriate. * He scolded me for not knowing there was no bus station, and refused to provide a list of stops + was not familiar with the area. * He tried to let me off a the first stop, after informing him I got a text message advising me where to get off, he yelled at me, scolding me for not informing him sooner i.e. "YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO KNOW THIS- YOU WASTE ME TIME!!!" etc etc (he ranted) I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed. Perhaps the first/Greyhound bus driver should be promoted to trainer.
