These people were supposed to do 3 days worth of work and only did a day at that and have never returned for the other 2 days. This is the WORST company you could go though for renting. They have been prompt with filling (leasing) with tenants and steady with getting rents paid, dealing with difficult tenants, and making repairs. When I did a walkthrough of my own properties I did find some minor issues that the tenants had complained about but were never fixed. So I followed up and pushed to get those issues taken care of and progress is being made. My advice to renters is this: don't complain so much about the managers but complain about the owners. The owners are the ones who authorize repairs or don't. It's ultimately the owner's responsibility. Ask Realiant for what you need, and if you don't get it, tell them to pass along a message to the property owners, that you are going to move out etc. if you don't get your needs addressed. It's basic customer service. The customer is always right, so make your voice heard and don't give up. Thanks Realiant!

No communication at all-- I'm talking, after they purchased our place it took four phone calls to…read morejust have a method to pay rent, which they *insisted* they would have gotten us before the first/when it would be late... but the official notice wasn't even delivered until the first. And mind this wasn't an instance of the mail delaying, they did drop it on our doorstep. Multiple instances of having to make 2+ phone calls, leaving voicemails, 2+ emails, and texts all on the same subject to get a reply days later from someone who isn't even our property manager. All of this has been within the first month of them acquiring this property. Killing myself would be preferable to having to deal with these people for the full extent of a lease. Thank god they didn't buy my apartment until I was two months off from leaving. Now if only they would ever follow up on/confirm my moveout upon lease expiration... I guess it's back to spam calling and emailing.

Our previous management (Kampus Properties) was helpful, thorough, and never unkind. After Top Shelf took over, our rent was raised significantly. We had no notice that they would be taking over either, just a text message that it had happened. Today, they tried to tell us a deposit that we paid upfront for last month's rent would not be used for last month's rent, and we would still have to pay for July. It took 4 separate people and threatening of legal action to be told we did not have to pay for July anymore. They did not bother to review our lease before telling us this either, we had to send screenshots of the lease agreement ourself. This company is incredibly shady and I would recommend ANY other rental company. Save your money.
