My Mom came into the store a month ago to have 4 watches fixed, and was charged $150 for this. I could not believe what she was charged, but I figured he must have done some work on them and also changed the batteries. Two of them have already stopped working. Together with my mom, I brought them in today to show him and let him know that they had already stopped working. Not only did he tell us he did not remember the watches, nor my mother, he was clearly upset before we even started and told me I had an attitude. I was upset, and I think understandably, as I feel my mother was taken advantage of. But, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said over and over I did not want to fight with him, but would take him up on his offer to fix these. He didn't like that I was upset. He told us he would have to make us wait if appointments came in, and I said that was fine. He opened the watches and told me they were unfixable and it was the watches that were bad and not his work. Why didn't he tell my mom this last month when she brought them in to be fixed rather than charging her the cost of a new watch to "fix" them? She would have just bought new watches. The watches she had were not expensive. So, he either charged her $150 to change the batteries or figured he'd scam an old lady. When I got upset, he began screaming at me, telling me I am the problem, and yelled my mom and I out of the store. I am not a Karen, and I never like to leave negative reviews for people, unless they are absolutely awful; which this definitely fit that bill. I have been in the service business as a jewelry designer for 30 years. I deal with people all the time. If I mess up, I own my mistakes and bend over backwards to help people. I'm not saying he had to do this, but some common decency would have been appreciated. If I treated my customers like this, I would not have a business. This man is a crook and incredibly rude. He takes advantage of people and has no respect to stand by his work. No integrity at all. If you get angry and yell at people who are upset with your faulty work, then maybe pick a new profession.
