As a small business owner, I trusted them to defend me in a case, but it turned into a nightmare. They extremely overbilled me for work they clearly never did, fabricating tasks to inflate their invoices. They even had the audacity to threaten to stop working on my case if I didn't pay their outrageous bills within 10 days. The worst part? After months of paying their exorbitant fees, I hired a new lawyer and discovered that the Plaintiff's attorney had no idea I even had representation--Aldi Law Firm never contacted them. This is gross negligence and an insult to any client who expects their lawyer to actually do their job. Their actions caused me months of extreme emotional distress and financial strain, as they took advantage of me during an already difficult time. This firm is unethical, unprofessional, and, frankly, a disgrace to the legal profession. When I advised them the plaintiffs attorney didn't even know I had representation they ignored my email. Like most emails sent to them. They never update you and send you to a portal that rarely works for updates. My new attorney was completely shocked at the gross negligence of Adli Law. They waited until the last minute and then squeezed me for even more money before putting me in a very unfavorable position a week before our arbitration date. Do Not Do Business with this firm!!! No knowledge of construction or contract law!!! I hired this firm on September 18th to represent me in a case of a dispute between me and my contractor who didn't finish building my pool and disappeared. Pretty straight forward case for anyone who have done any construction / contract law. This firm charged me $5,000 retainer and started communication with me explaining how complicated my case is. They kept sending me bills and kept explaining that the case is complicated. By November, Nothing was filed and I've been charged almost $3,000 out of my retainer. Frustrated I called Dr. Adli and left him a message expressing my feelings. I asked to stop the representation and return the rest of my retainer. They replied with a copy of the complaint ready to be filed with the court and charged me additional $1500 for it. The complaint they prepared and charged me for was absolutely USELESS as the contract had an arbitration clause and all they needed to do to start the process was initiating the arbitration. read more

Horrible experience!!!! Want to get talked over, not heard out, and than getting hung up on? Paul Menes attorney is just the men for this! I have worked with Nicolette at this firm with great success so perhaps there might be some good apples in there , however Paul said with a tone - well she is not a real attorney. So wow - this guy is not just a man with a temper, but he talks like this about his colleagues. Yikes! Situation: called the office up because as a photographer I was going to work for a new client and needed guidance with a contract / proposal. Nicolette got Paul to call me back and I missed that call. Next day I tried to get hold of this man. He does not come to work till 11 ( actually he shows up when he feels like it ). I tried to get information when he will be in - two different secretaries just kept saying he hasn't made it in the office yet. I had to make 2 phone calls because I didn't ask the right question the first time - such as should I wait for his phone call since it's July 3 and a lot of people take the day off and my issue needs legal help within 7 hours, and generally speaking how is he best reachable ? My situation was unique and I had to find someone who could do a same day job. Finally Paul called me back. He didn't let me finish explaining my situation. As soon as he heard my photo job is only a 1000$ he said his work will cost me 2500$. I tried to ask another question ( free consultation, right ?) to see if anyone in the practice could help or is this even a typical situation, or could Nicolette help again. Only to remind me that she is a nobody, how dare I interrupt him ( uhm.. I haven't even explained things yet) then he lectured me how I called multiple times and bothered his staff trying to reach him ( I called twice and was advised to send an email since he might read that actually). So yeah. Wow! And ready for this - this guy did this in 2 minutes. See attachment of my phone records. Free consults to be hung up on, be told to not interrupt, to be told he doesn't have to put up with me, and to tell me "You got lucky with the 300$ fee the last time" , I should go somewhere else, and the people who actually helped me in this office are nobodies. I ended up going with Lindsay Spillar in the north bay, who worked with me, understood my situation , and was polite and helpful and even got on a video conference with me to explain everything. I have used Adli Law Group twice for my small business needs. The first was to help me file a trademark for my business name and logo. Nikki was able to get me set up quickly and had it filed right away. When the USPTO came back with additional questions, they helped me take care of the responses. The 2nd time was related to consultations on labor/employment matters (mainly the classification of employees and development of employee protocols). I worked primarily with attorneys Hanwei and Brandon. I was impressed with their knowledge, ability to clearly communicate, and helpful advice that accomplished my end goal. This law firm has been the worst experience I've had. From the beginning of meeting the lawyers to now that have screwed me with my patent. Dr. Adli is a very charming man, but don't let that fool you. His law firm are far from giving you any kind of service. They have contact my engineer behind my back without any kind of permission. They let go of the lawyer who wrote my original patent and the new lawyer, Scott, made no commitment to understand my project. He rewrote my claims the last day when it was do. He had 3 months to work in it and write a draft and he kept making false promises. 3 months and he decided to do it the last day. UNREAL. And he says he has 15 years experience. So when he made the draft I wanted first to show to another lawyer and get a second opinion and he left me with no time and I found some things that I need to fix and that couldn't happen. Believe me I was on top of him for months prior to the dead line and even more when we got closer. He decided the last day to do it. So what do you think happen? I had a few claims that the examiner thought where okay and Scott tainted those claims and the rest of my claims. The examiner rejected all and wrote final decision. Mr. Adli is a salesman -- pure and simple. I called the firm regarding international patents and trademarks. He is very well spoken, but he has not kept up-to-date with regards to patent law and, more specifically, filing international patents in Europe and Asia. It was clear to me that he was stating old law and trying to sell me because I had another attorney on the line -- who kept silent during the call. After the call, I did some fact checking, and I realized that this guy is truly a used-car salesman spewing out old law and bragging about his clientele. The advise he provided was just plain wrong, he gave misinformation, and provided a ridiculous quote for a trademark and patent. I ended up going with a solo practitioner for my patent and trademark needs -- I saved $4,000. I truly believe there are competent attorneys at this firm, however, their fee quotes are absolutely ridiculous. You can find comparable legal services for half the cost. But, that is how they pay for their fancy office and staff ... I guess. If you have Intellectual Property needs, do your research and see what's out there. Again, I believe there are solid attorneys at that firm. But, my experience dealing with the founder and president of ADLI Law Group, Mr. Adli, made me realize that all he cared about was $$$$$$$$$. After my initial free consultation with Scott for my invention idea, he gave me good advice and a course of action based on what I presented. Once I completed the 'checklist' of items the firm needed, they went ahead and processed my provisional patent application within a short amount of time.
