She then spent the better part of a month preparing for a probate hearing that I never asked her to prepare for and that I knew would never happen -- yet she used a significant portion of my retainer on this without confirming whether I wanted representation. When I raised these concerns, she declined to offer any refund for the funds used toward the incomplete letter or for the hearing where I diid not ask for representation.
