After almost 12 years, one of the garage door springs installed by ADM back in 2014 snapped overnight. We discovered it the following morning when our door would not open. I feel like the springs had already lasted longer than they should have lasted, but of course these things always happen at bad times. I probably should have been more proactive. Since I had such a positive experience with ADM (Andre) 12 years ago, I called him first without going through the vetting process I did in 2014. After unsuccessfully securing a garage repair company in short notice my brother in law referred me to a guy he used for his own house. after speaking with Andre on the phone he sounded decent and because of the distance from Folsom to Elk Grove (25 miles) he wanted $100 upfront , *already a bad sign he also mentioned that he would be in Rancho Cordova which is 16 miles away and he still wanted to charge me that amount because of the traffic which is BS because traffic dies out at 10a after arriving 10 minutes late he pulls up and picks up the phone 3 times before even looking at the garage, asks me immediately if I have the 100 dollars and has me wait for him while he fields other calls and quotes on my freaking time (which is not professional). 10 minutes in the install he asks if he can use the bathroom, I say we cant because we take care of my wifes mom and she can not be around strangers because she is on a breathing machine and didn't want her to be exposed to outsiders. with no remorse or pity Screaming at the TOP of His Lungs raging he says and I quote "If I SHIT ON MYSELF I AM NOT COMING BACK I was like dude your coming back you have 100 of my hard earned dollars, there's a freaking jack in the box around the corner. after telling my wife what happened she said it was up to me and I ultimately decided to just freaking deal with this jerk because he had our money and that our car needed to be put in the garage. He also mentioned that he hopes that a review doesn't make it on yelp because it would ruin his business. (dude if you treat customers like this that is your own doing) he proceed to install this brand called LINEAR I should have asked prior but I found out from research and from other garage repair companies that Linear is the cheapest crappiest brand out there it is actually discontinued in a lot of places. 4 minutes ago I have 2 carriage doors that are 8 yrs. old and one of them needed a new sprocket/gear drive because the door hadn't been balanced for awhile and at 700lbs. it was putting a tremendous load on the opener. Finally, all the sprocket teeth had disintegrated except for 1. Opening and closing the chain driven opener the door had now become dangerous. I'm a fairly big guy and I could not come close to opening the door manually which in itself is also dangerous. I did some checking on the web for a repair man and when I called Andre at ADM Garage Doors on a Friday evening he called me back within 5 mins.. He had an answer to every one of my questions and when I asked for a quote he gave me one that wasn't the lowest but you get what you pay for and I wanted it done right but at a fair price. He said he could come out the next day (Saturday) between 9-11am and at 9:30 the next day I got a call and an email with the quote and what services we'd agreed upon. Very professional. I was still a little wary of him because during the time we were talking about price he said the springs could be bad and need replacement ( 4 springs per door) instead of just tightening the springs for the door balance. I didn't know if he'd try and sell me new springs when I didn't really need them. ( 4 springs per door ) Anyway, he showed up on time and used proper Covid protocol and got to work. He ended up adjusting the springs instead of saying they were bad. And by the time he was done I could raise and lower the door with ease. And when it came to replacing the sprocket/gear unit which I already had bought the kit, he told me I could use the lower sprocket on the drive ( top one was shot but this was a dual sprocket gear)and it would actual work better for such a heavy door ( money saved). Now he'd done what we 'D agreed upon but wait! He also lubricated the door AND the other door that wasn't involved. He also moved the entire door and track to center. It had been knocked out of center, He balanced it from each side and adjusted the tracks . He also permanently affixed the electric eye carriers that were clipped on and would always get out of alignment. He showed me what I needed to do periodically to maintain the doors. He gave me a handful of screws so I could replace the stripped ones on the hinges. He went above and beyond on my job and had the expertise to know what needed to be done to make my door perfect. I'm hard to please and I couldn't be happier. I'd recommend Andre to anyone who wants the job done right with the best technician, at a fair price. It's always a pleasant surprise when an owner of a local business responses to a quote request in the early evening on a weekend. My garage door decided to only open up a couple of feet before stopping. Maybe if I owned a clown car, this would only be a mere inconvenience, but in this case, I had one car stuck in the garage until the situation was fixed. I had a garage spring break and called ADM Garage Doors. We discussed the options and he came armed to replace my spring as discussed on the phone. However, as we looked over my old wood door it made more since to replace the entire door versus just the spring as the door had many issues due to it's age. He could have just as easily replaced the spring and then came back again to fix additional issues as that would have developed over additional opening and closing of the door. We have been having issues with the garage doors frequency in which it would not register when we clicked the garage clicker, and would sometimes just not open at all. We gave Andre a call, and he was able to set us up with not only a system that works, but one that has a lot more range than we've ever had before. Got 2 Linear Model LDCO800 garage door openers installed by Andre about a week ago. We first looked up ADM online, noting the good reviews. Next we called him at about 7 or 8 in the evening. Even at this time he was really helpful. He then said he would come out and look at our garage doors. Next day he comes out and is helpful. Recommends us the Linear and lets us have a pamphlet to look over. By about the next morning, we called him up and he said he would be able to come out the following Tuesday. Tuesday comes and he does the installation for a 2 door garage and a 1 door garage with also wireless access. The total came out to a very good price. Andre is the most genuine customer service provider I have come across with home repairs in a very long time, he rocks! He arrived early to repair our garage door which had stopped operating aka lifting up and down only running a strange noise when the power button was pushed. We had spoken over phone and texting before the appointment and there was a possibility it was in need of an entire motor replacement.
