    Veggie and Meat Combo
    Camille M.

First time coming here. There were only two tables occupied when we got here so maybe the time was a bit late for dinner on a Sunday. The server was nice and patient with our ordering, thank you. the food was healthy and yummy, but my husband felt the chicken stew wasn't worth the price (only one chicken drumstick and one hard boiled egg in the stew.) ambiance was cool , there was cool picture decors with beautiful women in traditional headdresses. We had one of the dining rooms all to ourselves so it was nice and quiet since we had my toddler with us. My husband felt the food could've been spicy since he has tasted spicy Ethiopian food elsewhere. Our server gave us spicy sauces/ powders but it was not spicy enough for him (he's South Indian.)

Friendly staff. Neat space. Their breakfast menu is great. A huge fan of the fata and fūl. They also have coffee served in a Jebena.

Gored gored, disappointing chicken doro wot, vegetable combo, & lamb tibs

We ordered takeout and were extremely disappointed in the $20 chicken doro wot, which only came with a measly drumstick and hard-boiled egg. The gored gored was delicious and spicy but very gristly, and the lamb tibs and vegetable combo were not tasty enough to redeem the meal. Additionally, the plastic lids were not sealed completely and sauce leaked out onto & through the takeout bag. Needless to say, we will not be coming back.

I came here with my friends and we all shared a meat combo which includes injera and a variety of meats all which were delicious! It was enough food for all of us and we even had leftovers. It was great for the price of $38 which we split 3 ways. I had never had Ethiopian food before so I was very excited to try and I was very pleased! I'm excited to say that I've tried it now and loved it! As for parking, we were lucky to find a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. The inside of the place was clean, aesthetic and had a nice ambiance. I highly recommend if you're looking to try a new cuisine or need a new place to try.

Admas is the Ethiopian-Eritrean spot we've been wanting and craving. I definitely feel like Admas is going to be a lovely addition to our greater Grand Lake neighborhood. I ordered the veggie platter as one does for takeout. I wish they didn't use styrofoam for packaging, but it did keep everything warm. AND y'all, the portions are fab, the veggie dishes are DIVINE and colorful, and injera so fluffy and delish. They also gave a complimentary vinagrette salad and one dry AF samosa. The samosa didn't hit for me, but I chowed down that salad so fast. Complimentary sides are something from pre-COVID times that I am so glad Admas is bringing back. My fave part was the injera bread and their stews: red lentil side (misir wat) took my breath AWAY, and their yellow split pea side was divine (kik alicha). I never had that bright pink/magenta beet side and I had to google it. The key sir alicha beet AND potato dish was SO unique, I could taste the ginger and ya girl was pleasantly intrigued. Collard greens was yummy as well. I loved ALL of their dishes in the veggie platter, and will def be coming back for that specific item. I loved that there were a few two-person parties inside the store. Seems like a nice, intimate spot for date night...it is on the quieter side though. But I like that there's the main area and a side room if you're looking for more privacy. It has the feel of stepping into a family friend's home. No outdoor seating though and limited street parking. Hospitable folks and small biz!

Service was very nice and the food is very good. The location is convenient and easy to find parking. Great for a group.

My partner and I have been wanting to stop by this spot since it's opened in the neighborhood. We ordered the veggie and meat combo where you could pick and choose. We got some recommendations from the owner, and ordered the yebeg tibs, doro tibs, yellow lentils, collard greens, and a spicy beef that was off-menu (and really good!). He was kind enough to let us try the red lentils too (which I really liked!). It could have probably fed 3 people unless you're all starving. I was very full and we didn't finish. It's a humble spot with delicious and affordable Ethiopian food and good place for a dinner out when you don't feel like cooking!

I've visited Admas a few more times since my initial review. Portions for dinner are still small and may not be what you're expecting (based on the menu). HOWEVER, the ful breakfast is absolutely lovely My friend had the full version, and I had the vegan version today. It was just spicy enough, flavorful, and definitely enough food. Will return for brunch!!

Def sweet & kinda strong for me but still loved hehe - Another server said her fave was the honey pineapple cider wine and it fsho didn't disappoint; came in a cinnamon-lined glass and tasted more apple than pineapple haha but not complaining at all, just noticing - small plate of chicken w/ red lentils -- came w/ injera and salad --- HELLA SHMACK (usually at Ethiopian restaurants, I get the samplers to split w/ friends) since I came in solo, I got the small plate today. I thought I'd need more injera, but the serving was actually a perfect size bc I even needed a to-go box **can't wait to visit again!! though they did note their moving locations soon

I'm glad they've moving locations in a week. Wait staff was friendly. We got the veggie sampler for two ($40) and the meat sampler for one ($23). The veggie sampler was very filling, and each dish was flavorful. My friends enjoyed the meat dishes. The dishes came with plenty of injera. The spicy red lentils were my favorite as well as the carrot/cabbage/potato mix. I can't stomach onions so I was happy none of the veggie dishes included chunks in them. They were probably in there but blended or cooked down to nothing. My friend is diabetic so he couldn't eat a lot of the injera. We asked and the wait staff brought him eating utensils. When we entered, we stood around for a while and then figured out we were supposed to go to the back right where there's a few chairs put together for a waiting area. I flagged down a staff member and they had me put my name on a wait list. We were there early on a Friday (around 6pm), so we only had a short wait. Although this place has a decent amount of tables, I can imagine long waits during peak times. I'm glad they're moving to a new location in about a week and I hope it's quieter. We sat in the semi enclosed outside area and even there was loud. Voices echo throughout and since the restaurant is near a stoplight outside, cars and motorcycles blaring music go by constantly. Many were so loud just about the entire restaurant turned their heads to look at what was so noisy. As soon as we finished eating I suggested we leave since I could barely hear our conversation.

We came across Cafe Colucci and it was pretty busy for a Sunday morning! We ordered their vegan and meat samplers as well as the beef sambussas. Meat sampler: 8/10 delicious! We all loved each item, especially the spicy ones. *Injera was absolutely a fam fave, we all loved the texture and flavors: tart, slightly savory and perfectly chewy/fluffy!! Sambussas: 100/10 we would order 100 of these! The sauce is came with was chefs kiss, amazingly sweet and savory with an ever so slight kick. The ambiance was family friendly, music wasn't too loud and everyone was very warm and inviting. I highly recommend coming here!

It's got a good vibe inside and despite there being a pretty constant line we were seated within 15 mins. I would absolutely go back. Also - order the coffee, was hit with wonderful flavors served in this awesome ceramic mug.

The portion size is like having a feast - definitely perfect for sharing. The injerito was a great appetizer, love the silky and soft texture of the injera. I ordered the House Special Sampler which was a great option for me because I wanted to try as many dishes as I could. From the choices of meat, the beef was my favorite. I ate it with the rice from the "Lamb with Rice" dish - very perfect pairing. The rice and beef were packed with so much flavor - every bite was a sensation. Everything had a good flavor balance except the Gomen. For my taste buds it could use more seasoning. The whole platter was delectable. Just one thing, a gnat showed up and landed on my other roll of injera so I did not eat it. Service 4/5 KEren, the owner is soft spoken and kind. I told her the spelling of her name was unique to the traditional spelling Karen. She greeted me as soon as I entered. At this time there were no customers. She brought me the drinks menu and the food menu accompanied with a pitcher of water. I feel a pitcher of water should be offered at every restaurant for your table. Minimizes the requests for refills. On a warm sunny day like today hydration is paramount. Keren returned moments later to take my order. Ambiance 3/5 Clean. Neat. A little bare. Four big screen televisions though for those who are into watching TV. There's a bar with a limited alcohol selection. Happy Hour is offered from 4-8pm. No days specified. There's two restrooms. One for women and one for men. The women's is missing the door have handle. Inside the one person restroom it's very clean and stocked with all the basics you need.
