Prices are not posted and the workers were too bothered to answer about prices or process any questions...take clothes and move you along. Left items for dry cleaning and could not believe, upon picking them up, the ridiculous prices I was charged. $48+ for 2 short dresses with one as wrinkled as I left it. $121+ for a total of 10 items: 2 laundered-pressed mens shirts/2ties/2mens blazers/2mens pants/ 2 short women's dresses. The prices are overpriced service for quality of work. They were not even hung correctly in one of the bags...bottom bunched around top- mixed mens clothing and woman's clothing in hanging bags. AWFULL SERVICE AND COSTUMER SERVICE!!! First and last time at Admiral Cleaners in Annapolis. I left my comforter there to be washed when I returned to pick it up the fluffy filling was completely damaged. They put my comforter to be dried in the hot heat. When I complained I was told that I did not tell them what to do with the comforter. (????) Wait, so am I supposed to tell them how to do their job? The lady said that she worked there for over 40 years so she absolutely know that some materials are not supposed to be dried in the hot heat. I asked them to issue me a refund because this is the LEAST they could do. I had a loss estimated in $300 between paying for the service, my damaged comforter and the new comforter I had to buy. They simply refused to give me a refund unless I brought MY COMFORTER back there. How is that even possible??? The lady said that this has never happened there before so when it happens for the first time that's how they handle it? I will definitely take legal action against them. I had a mens coat cleaned hear. Come to pick it up and it was like they didn't even did anything to it. And it had stains on it that wasn't on the coat the first time. So I requested them to do it again. The second time was better, but wasn't completely satisfied. I drove quite a ways to get here. And having to drive twice was unacceptable. Avoid! Ruined a beautiful made-to-measure suit: jacket and pants were ironed so hot that they shined, and you could see the pants pockets outlined through the wool. The staff and owners were dishonest and nasty afterward. Worst service I've ever encountered. read more

I cant argue with the pickup and delivery, it is very convenient. But the price is very expensive - $10 for a dry cleaned dress shirt - uck and half the the time there a creases in the pockets or fronts of the shirts. I am at a loss.... read more

The company is amazing with how they cleaned and pressed my uniforms, I will give them that. The price is absolutely ridiculous compared to other establishments around the city. Now I understand you pay for what you get; however, I have gone to other places such as zip cleaners and they have done amazing for a quarter of the price(not exaggerating). Again amazing service, absolute ludicrous prices. Just of note my uniform top costs $30 new, I should not have to pay $10 to have the damn thing cleaned not including the price of my pants. My honest suggestion is when working with uniforms if you are going to charge $10, you need to do it per set not per item. I will never come here again to pay $10 per article of clothing. My tab was over $120 and that's a weeks worth of clothes. Zip charged me $16. read more

Do not use if you're looking to get military items either tailored or dry cleaned. They will "double crease" military shirts and trousers and are not familiar with military regulations. Not only that but I dropped off two coats and the same stains were on it when I picked them up. I didn't have time to return the coats so I used water and my finger nail to remove the stain and the stains came off. I smelled the coats to see if they even smelled clean and they did not, I doubt they did anything to clean them besides putting them on a hanger, adding 2 stickers to it, and charging 16$. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Prices are extremely expensive for crappy service. read more

I took a jacket there to see if some stains on the lapel could be taken out. The attendant, Gail, said she'd see what she could do and had asked me if I knew what caused the stains. I did not. I came by to pick up the jacket a few days later and just as I was about to pay the $13 fee, I took a closer look and realized the stains were still there. The stains were lighter but still present. I asked to speak with a manager but none was present. I stated that I did not feel comfortable paying $13 for a jacket I still couldn't wear and was told a manager would contact me. Gail called, told me she had tried but there was no way to get the stains out. When I went back to pick up the jacket, I asked again why I was being charged a full fee when the jacket could not be worn and the stains still visible. Her response: "well, there's nothing I can do and you still have to pay for it because otherwise, she'd be giving away clothes for free." Perhaps, it was her cavalier borderline rude response or maybe it's the fact that merchants have no issues charging you even though they don't hold up their end of the bargain. I will not be visiting this merchant ever again. The prices are slightly higher and this encounter left an unfavorable impression. read more

Kudos to Doris and the Manager at the Admiral Cleaners Plant on Taylor Avenue in Annapolis Maryland! I dropped of some clothes at the Bay Ridge location but in checking the pockets of my pants I missed a car key that was in the pocket. About 2 days after I dropped my clothes off I discovered I was missing the key. Panic Mode engaged! I back tracked and realized I never took the key out of my pocket when I arrived home on Friday. The most likely place the key would be is in the pocket of the pants I took to the cleaners! I called the Admiral Cleaners Plant and had the pleasure of speaking with Doris. I describe the key and told her the location where I dropped my clothes. She cheerfully informed me she had the key and told me the operating hours to facilitate my picking the key up! Awesome sauce! Upon my arrival the Manager greeted me politely. I told her I needed to speak with Doris and she promptly summonsed Doris to the Customer Service area. Doris was in the back, I suspect operating the cleaning equipment. Doris was pleasant and professional and provided me with my key and a ticket that had my name and the information detailing which store the clothes came from! Kudos to Doris for being conscientious and checking the pockets before placing the clothes into the machine! Kudos to Doris for being pleasant and professional. Kudos to Cierra who is the Associate I normally helps me at the Bay Ridge Admiral Cleaners for always being pleasant. I had one troubling issue in this experience. I called and left a message with someone whose initials are W.C. at the main Plant. I left a message that stated I wanted to commend Doris for a job well done. I left my phone number. I made this call on September 13, 2017. Today is September 20, 2017. I am still waiting for W.C. to return my call. I am not happy about this but this is about Doris who is on the Front Line, dealing with the customers in a polite and professional manner. Please recognize Doris for her stellar service! They do a great job and offer to pick up from your home (and drop off too). I like that option and they are pretty quick turnaround. If you save receipts, every time you spend I think it's 60 you will get a discount of some sort. read more

I have been debating whether to write this for a while now, but I thought I'd better. I used Admiral for a few months and then stopped when one of my favorite things came back torn into pieces. Basically, if you have regular clothes with no special needs, this place might do fine. If you have anything designer, anything delicate or anything that needs attention to detail and care, don't leave it here. I would never leave a wedding dress with these folks, for instance. They offer a big discount for military, but I think the rest of us make up the profit because the prices are a bit high. They deliver, and I am sure folks like that, but I haven't used the delivery service. Most of all, the staff are very nice, and this is a big plus. Unfortunately, the chemicals used are very strong. My clothes always came back smelling intensely, and I usually aired them out before I wore them. Once, my pants were noted as having bomb/explosive residue chemicals on them when I went through a TSA screening at the airport. The pants had just been put on from the dry cleaning bag and driven to the airport, nothing else, so I suspect it had something to do with either the chem or maybe someone else's clothes. Dunno. But the smell was always way too much, IMO. They permanently heat tag your clothes with a small tag that will not come off. I find this invasive. And you get paper tags in your clothes with at least 3 or 4 of those plastic price tag attachers per side of the tag. You have to cut them out of everything since they cannot be torn away. So annoying. What finally killed it for me is my favorite scarf, which had tassels on the end, was ruined here. But it didn't need to be. They put my load into the cleaning drum and nothing else, knowing it might be ruined, because I had asked to have the clothes back the next day. These drums need 100 lbs of laundry or bad things can happen. No one bothered to mention that or I would have said "the following day is fine, please don't ruin my stuff". I bought this gorgeous piece in Italy and I loved it, and it came back with a big chunk missing and torn off. The manager "was supposed to call you" according to the clerks, and did not. She never did. What a coward. One of the ladies there said if she'd been on duty, she would have had my sign a liability waiver for the scarf since it was delicate. WTH? A waiver? For you to do a job that you say you can do: cleaning? I was astounded by that. What about ladies beaded evening dresses, fringed throws, and things like that? These garments need cleaning sometimes too. But not here?? On the plus side, Admiral did send me a check and a short letter of apology, which is why I am not completely panning them. I would never go back here, but probably if you don't have anything special you need done, you don't mind extra tags in your clothes, and you don't mind the strong smell, you will be fine. read more

I went in needing a quick turn around on a pair of pants and was surprised to hear their standard turnaround was still faster than I needed it. They do most of the cleaning right there in house which eliminates the wait and delay that most dry cleaners experience. The pants were cleaned, pressed and on time. Military will be delighted to know you will receive a nice discount (20% on my pants). read more

DO NOT USE FOR FUR STORAGE. They send your garment to Ram in Manassas, VA and Ram does not care about your belongings. They lost the hood to my fur coat and they never performed the repairs that were noted on the ticket. I don't know what they did with my garment from March thru November, but it came back late and not in tact. I will never use Admiral and Ram again read more

I took my daughter's wedding dress to Admirals. What I got back was an absolutely ruined dress. They contract out cleaning of wedding dresses so beware. Of course they claimed if wasn't their doing and the service they sent the dress to claimed it wasn't their doing. The old not my fault routine. On Wednesday, February 11, 2015, I spilled water on a $95 purple silk tie that I had worn only twice. The stain was approximately three inches in diameter. Recognizing that water can damage silk, I took it to Admiral Cleaners because I wanted a professional to look at it. The woman at the counter advised me that they might be able to remove the stain, but she made it clear that it was not a guarantee. When I returned to pick up the tie the following day, I learned, instead of informing me that they could not remove the water stain, that they had destroyed the tie. It appeared as though someone had rubbed steel wool or a Brillo pad all over the front of the tie. The two women who were working that evening were shocked at the damage and told me that the owner would "make it right." They said that their manager would call me the next day (Friday) and, if I did not hear from her by 2:00 p.m., to call. At 2:10 on Friday, after receiving no phone call from Admiral Cleaners, I called and spoke to the manager. She first informed me that water damages silk, implying that it was already a lost cause when they tried, but failed, to remove the stain. I responded that I would have preferred that they let me know that nothing could be done and, rather than further damaging the tie, return it to me in the condition that they had received it. She said that she needed to speak to the owner, who was not available at that time but would be on Monday. I then confirmed with the manager, twice, that she would call me on Monday after she had spoken to the owner. I did not hear from the manager or the owner on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (today). Because my tie was beyond repair after they had treated it, I did not have an opportunity to try a different method to remove the stain. Although I am not happy that someone at Admiral Cleaners destroyed the tie, I understand that one employee's poor decision is not representative of the entire operation. But I am posting this negative review because the manager, who was aware that I was upset, inexcusably failed to call me after promising to do so. I am now going to take my drycleaning down the street to ZIPS, where I can get the same bad customer service but pay less for it. read more
