Last Tuesday, I deviated from my norm. I typically stay at a Marriott hotel because it makes things easier collecting points and sticking with a brand. With the crazy hotel rates that I had looked at, I took a different route. I had an early morning flight out to catch and wanted to stay closer to the airport. I went on Expedia to do a search and found Admiral Inn. It had good reviews and the price was right. I booked it online. I then checked in at around 9 pm on a Monday night. There was lots of parking at this hotel. There are a series of hotels around this area, with plenty of eateries and stores that I didn't have time to explore. I got a competent person at the front desk. He checked me in. There was a $200 deposit for a night's stay. I'm not sure if that's now a standard, but it was more than twice my hotel rate for the night. My credit card secured everything. This man wasn't feeling great. He admitted that to another guest. This guest and I got into the same elevator. Next to the elevator was the pool with a whirlpool. I wasn't here long enough to try either. I got a comfortable room. It had a mini fridge to keep my drinks cold. I also had brought food for breakfast and was thrilled that there was a microwave. Both worked well. There was no luggage rack. I used the chair next to the TV. It worked well, too. The floor was hardwood. It's easier to clean than carpet. I liked the toiletries that were in the bathroom. The shower was interesting. You got a shower head above and a hand wand. It also had three heads built into the wall, so you could get sprayed horizontally. I tried it. It was different. If you like showering options, this room is for you! The bed was comfortable. The pillows don't have a lot of support, so I doubled them up for my heavy head. There is free wifi. I got the password tacked on to my room card. I checked out at around 5:25 am. No one was at the front desk. It was perfect because it was too early to interact with any human. I'm hoping that the guy who wasn't feeling great was sleeping. I had a decent stay. You do get what you paid for. (70) read more

When another hotel(right beside this one) didn't accept debit when informing us we could on the phone, this hotel was right there. I liked the pool and that it was warm, only from the hot tub's water being pushed over the ledge. But, I don't mind the hot tub's flaw as it made the pool comfortable without me having to slowly step in shivering. * Microwave, mini-fridge, big mirror, coffee maker, AC, and a big window where I stared at the magnificent shingles.... Had to go to Toronto for a friend's birthday and the place I normally stay at in Vaughan wanted 3x the rate I paid in May. Actually, all hotels I looked at were vastly overpriced. I found this hotel on Trivago and decided to give it a try. It still wasn't cheap, but reasonable (and I didn't feel like mortgaging my house just to sleep in a hotel for a night). The check-in was seamless.....The front desk agent was funny, efficient and explained things in detail (bkfst hours, Wi-Fi, etc). The room was nicer than I expected. Large comfortable bed (king), great pillows, fridge, coffee maker, etc..it's all here. Floors were laminate (no carpet) and the room was spotless. Bathroom was a good size with a large shower stall that had great water pressure and a temperature that never fluctuated. I didn't partake in bkfst.....but one was included with the stay. Location was good.,,easy access to the QEW. Contactless checkout was a breeze. I'd stay here again. read more

requested that we have no maid service as I don't like a maid coming into my room with my meds and stuff in there she came in anyways breakfast didn't look appealing pool had too much chlorine in it. Hot tub leaks out into the pool so as the pool was warm, the hot tub was the same temperature I smoke and I understand you cannot smoke in the building but they don't have a designated smoking area with a seat or a bench. You have to stand and smoke and being handicap I couldn't do that. Had to sit on a damn rock I don't think I'll stay here again. Rooms are nice. The remodel is nice just too many inconveniences for a handicap person. read more

Incredibly pleasant experience; for 149.99+ tax we got the hot tub suite with a queen size bed and a full bathroom and shower. Room was clean and very big, with wall size windows. The front desk was incredibly friendly during check in, and they have a full bar. It definitely feels like you're getting more than you paid for, which is nice. Inside our room, we had a working television, small microwave, and a mini fridge. There were many extra towels everywhere, and the pillows were nice and soft. All in all we were pleasantly surprised with our experience at the Admiral Inn, and we'll definitely be coming back here. It's very close to Toronto Pearson Airport, and includes takeout menus from many restaurants in its room service book. The hot tub is big enough to comfortably sit 2, and it was nice and clean, surrounded by mirrors, with powerful jets that made for a relaxing massage. TLDR; 10/10 would recommend. I recently stayed at the Admiral Inn in Mississauga, ON for three nights on business, and while it wasn't a bad hotel by any means, it doesn't quite live up to the standard set by its nearby competitors. First, and most importantly, the rooms themselves are very clean - or at least mine was. I had a non-smoking room with one king-size bed, and I was generally pleased. Everything looked clean and well maintained, and the room smelled faintly of men's cologne. I think the smell was from some sort of cleaning solution or air freshener that the hotel uses, rather than a past guest, as the smell did not fade at all during my stay. Regardless, it was a pleasant smell, and was faint enough that you only noticed it for a few seconds right as you entered the room. The bed was very comfortable, and included 5 large, comfortable pillows. The television was moderately sized, and non-HD, which would have been a negative if I'd have spent more than 15 minutes using it. The bathroom was fairly standard. The shower had decent pressure, and the temperature controls responded quickly. The free breakfast was sufficient for my needs, but lacked in variety, as about 2/3 of the offerings were sweets of some kind (donuts, muffins, etc). The pool was, for some strange reason, separated from the lobby by only glass walls. I wanted to use the hot tub to unwind after work, but decided not to since I would have felt too exposed and awkward. The fitness center was small, with one each of a treadmill, an elliptical, and a stationary bike, along with an all-in-one weight training machine. Everything seemed to be in working, relatively clean condition, though. Overall, the Admiral Inn does not have any major flaws or weaknesses, but neither does it have any outstanding strengths, so to me it is very firmly in the 3-star, "A-OK" range. read more

Great Hotel My husband and I stay here often. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is friendly. The beds are super comfy but the sheets aren't very soft. My favorite thing about this hotel is the complimentary breakfast! It's always delicious. They have, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, croissants, muffins, Belgian waffles, toads bagels and more! You have to try the waffles! They are amazing! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

First time in Canada on a weekend trip. This hotel is very clean and all the staff here is very friendly. It's close to lots of food spots so that is a plus. Will definitely come back to this hotel when I visit again :) read more

Horrible hand soap. How do they expect anyone to be excited to walk into their hotel rooms when your hands are cracked and bleeding and smell like fecal matter from the hand soap in the lobby restroom.... Not impressed. read more

A lady with a double chin who greets people at the front in between eating a family size bag of chips is absolutely awful. I was in such a hurry to leave that I generally would get her name, but I had to hold my breath the entire time I was in there. After driving for 5 hours, I desperately needed to stop and rest so I decided to stay the night at Admiral Inn. The lady I mentioned above was pleasant at first despite sticky fingers and coughing without covering her mouth - and again, I was very tired. I signed a form to stay. $170 on a Tuesday for a place that the elevator takes a full 60 seconds for the door to close and absolutely filthy carpets. I say to myself, as long as the room is clean, it's fine. I had to go to the bathroom so I did that first and while there was not a shine an the toilet paper had not been replaced, there was nothing visibly wrong. I went to the bed next to have a rest and saw hair all over the sheets and pillows. It was made up, but sheets not changed. Disgusting! I promptly went to front desk to let her know and I was uncomfortable to get another room or sheet change as I had seen enough. I was there for a total of 6 minutes including the 2 minutes to get up and down on the elevator. She said because I was there for more than 5 minutes I need to pay the rate. She then says she'll have a look. 10 minutes later she comes back to say I used the washroom so I can't get the reservation cancelled. No mention of the hair which I sure she took the time to take off the sheets to avoid any further scrutiny. She said if I leave now then I can pay a day rate. For 5 minutes lol. I needed to get out of there before I got COVID or worse so I told her to do what she needs to, I will cancel the charge with my credit card and file a complaint. She then said "you used the bathroom!" Okay honey, and I'm sorry I did as who knows what was on that toilet seat! I should be the one upset about that. Disgusting place and even worse customer service. Avoid at all costs. Thankfully I paid nothing as my credit card company approved the chargeback. Better luck next time at swindling someone, double chinned lady! Perhaps using the gym in between the one customer you get a day would be ideal. read more

Every time I go to canada I stay here. Its a great, clean hotel for the price. Its not a luxury hotel nor is it cheap, i'd definitely say its moderate. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel! The free breakfast buffet, parking and wifi are a plus! read more

They kept treated my family and I with unimaginable contempt. They would block us from getting into our rooms every day or two and ask for our credit cards to settle the bills, literarily every day or two. It got annoying and it was evident they were profiling us and offered us really really horrible service. We had to check out halfway though our stay because It got embarrassing for us, and we couldn't deal with the ridiculous way they treated us. read more

My parents had their wedding anniversary at Admiral Inn. BIG MISTAKE. -no staff was present when we got there at 3pm (party was supposed to start at 5pm), except for the receptionist -when I asked for help, I was passed around between caterer and reception because they both had no clue on who's in charge with what - no head table in the room as per request - no dance floor - we've mentioned that we were going to have a dj - my family and our GUESTS had to help us move tables and chairs to make room for the dance floor as well as the head table = how embarrassing was that?! -cocktails were just left in a table with no drinks. we had to request several times before they were served - no caterers were present for the WHOLE DURATION of dinner so we could speak to and ask questions.and most specially, so they're aware when to refill food. We had to call them up everytime (not once or twice but EVERYTIME). Thus, 3 tables of our guests were left waiting forever for their meals. Again, another embarrassing moment for us! -I specifically requested that the desserts to be served by 9pm. I've confirmed that with the 2 caterers but they still served them at 8:30pm. Therefore, disturbing the program. And of course, there was no enough hot water, etc. for everyone. Seriously, one kettle for everyone? -After dinner, dirty dishes were piled up on all tables. There was only 1 PERSON taking care of everything, not even on a uniform either and not even bother talking to us for questions or anything. Overall summary, our experience with Admiral Inn was quite unpleasant. I have been coordinating events for several years now and to be frank, this was the worst. And the painful thing about it was it was my parents' 30th wedding anniversary, which should have been special for them but we were all stressed out. Mind you, in the middle of this chaotic event, we were still polite when we tried talking to your caterer and the receptionist. We were not screaming nor demanding for anything. A good experience from start to finish. Quick easy, check in. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Free breakfast was typical and didn't disappoint. We just came home from a 2-night stay at the Admiral, and were quite pleased with our visit. The room was comfortable and clean, and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful! The breakfast staff and the dining room were pleasant, and the breakfast selection was really good. Fresh croissants, yogurt and a selection of add-ins such as dried cranberries, etc; fresh fruit; scrambled eggs; sausage and bacon; bagels, breads for toasting; a variety of breakfast cereals; and a waffle maker to make your own Belgian waffle (with or without chocolate chips!) were all available. Coffee and hot tea, orange and apple juice, and ice water rounded out the selection. Really nice way to start the day! I would have liked the breakfast to go until 11am instead of 10am, though. I deducted a point for not having charging outlets next to the bed - many hotel lamps have an outlet in the base for cellphone charging. We always travel with an extension cord, so I used that on my side after unplugging a lamp, and my husband unplugged the clock radio on his side so we could plug in our phones overnight. Free Wi-Fi, very comfortable bed, nice lobby, and easily-accessible parking made it a very good visit and we'll be glad to stay there again. read more
