Only got to stay here because my wife won a night here from the TIFF 50/50 draw. The room was a gorgeous king suite. They set us up with a welcoming plate with macrons, chocolate dipped strawberries, a strawberry made of chocolate, and some shreds of chocolate. Just lots of strawberries and chocolate. The blinds are automatic and have controls next to the lights. Honestly, very neat. The bed was big & unnecessarily comfortable. I slept like a well rested guy. Nice place. Stayed there many years ago and it was a magnificent stay with super welcoming staff and very friendly service. The rooms are very comfortable with every possible amenity that you can imagine ! Four Seasons almost always delivers a wonderful experience. Except for rare occasions it was 3-4 stars experience, it has been consistent 5 stars experience. This branch lives to that experience. The manager will greet you and take you to the room himself. Toronto is home for Four Seasons. Located at the luxurious neighborhood Yorkville, you really don't need to go anywhere while visiting Toronto. I stayed at Hazelton and Shangri La Toronto. This review is based on a purchase of one the hotel's offering of home products, not a stay at one of their hotels. I had received a $400 gift card from my employer. I was excited to browse their catalogue and select a luxury item. After perusing their offerings, I decided on a pair of their rubber-soled slippers. Yes, they took up all $400 of those gift card dollars. When I received them, I was even more excited to start wearing them. I had selected the 7-8 size, and the toe length and the width were fine against the sole. Nonetheless, after a few hours of wearing them, the elastic on the back had dug into my tendon enough to pull skin off, and render them useless. So why the 3 stars? They did everything perfectly to make it up to my feet. When I contacted their service department, I was acknowledged immediately, and offered a full refund. The representative working with me made the arrangements to wire the refund right away, along with the service charge that I incurred at my financial institution for receiving the wire. That's why you pay premium rates at a hotel like this - it's not just about the luxe amenities, it's the company's recognition of the value of proper customer service - which in the current retail climate, is a long lost art for the most part. read more

I stayed at the Four Seasons for two nights and my entire experience here was wonderful. The room was super clean with branded toiletries. I also really like how there's a tablet to order service, food, etc. I was blown away by how quickly I was being serviced. The minute I step out of my room, there's was a staff to come by to grab my breakfast table. The bell desk was also very proactive to help wave my Uber down and assist with luggage. The only thing was that I had a room in the lower floor and there wasn't much view at all. It was also really close to another building which worried me a bit regard privacy. I also wish they had automatic curtains. Regardless, I look forward to my next stay here! read more

The hotel was very overhype to say the least. The stay and service did not live up to the desired expectations and Fourseasons Standards. The Yorkville area is overall rather uneventful and everything closes very early. The hotel aesthetic itself is very bland in regards to structural integrity and interior design. The staff could've done a much better job to make the stay a lot more accommodating as my very close friend has severe concussion syndrome, and no effort at all was made to help make his stay more comfortable. The company itself could do a much better job making itself a lot more luxurious and extravagant, rather than appaearing to be no more than a standard business hotel. I hope this message makes it to upper management, as this company profile needs a complete makeover. read more

I want to say a big thank you to the staff at the Four Seasons Hotel. The place is amazing, beautiful, spotless and truly a next level hotel. What made this particular Hotel experience unique was the staff! From the moment I arrived the gentlemen who greeted me and opened the door had a huge smile expressing warmth on a chilly morning. Then Alex at reception, took time to explain helpful information including the history of the establishment. We also chatted about our families and casual stuff that typically no one has time for. The restaurant was great, the food was good and the service was top notch. I was impressed by the waiters who were so friendly and authentic. That evening (Saturday night) we went to the bar. It was packed, a full house but we were lucky to get a place at the bar. The bartender, Ayrton, was the nicest, most friendly person. It was a joy to watch him work so seamlessly, mixing drinks, working efficiently and flawlessly. Very skilled, so much respect! He was really helpful in guiding us newbs through the beverage and food menu. We had some good laughs and conversations, and it was great! Time well spent for sure! A room with the softest bed, lots of water, and soundproof makes for a night full of epic dreams! It was a special occasion and one of the reasons we came here was the spa, pool and hot tub and we were not disappointed. The spa receptions Djanel was so helpful and clear with her communication. The RMT's Ed and Theoren were next level. Their communication and professionalism were outstanding. The small nonverbal and verbal gestures were surprising because I haven't experienced that level of awareness in a long time. They are very skilled professionals, intelligent, insightful people. I was blown away! It's an experience I don't feel I've ever had the likes of in my life.  I felt I was in a different dimension when I walked out of the spa, I couldn't open my locker and the spa attendant Reza didn't make me feel silly or that I was wasting his time. He told me to have a seat and relax, and within a few minutes, he had it all sorted out, with a smile and beautiful energy. We chatted for a bit it was a unique experience! To summarize, this is a nice fantasy, beautiful building, but that's not what makes this place special. It's the epic, beautiful, intelligent, kind, hardworking people who put their heart and soul into what they do so we can have a special life experience! There are lots of five star hotels, the definition is a bit diluted by its many meanings. Obviously this hotel is both a five star hotel in ammenities and quality. I also stayed in the Four Seasons in Montreal. By comparison this is a much more luxurious hotel from the architectural perspective. The room was slightly more comfortable (larger). I don't know if this was luck, both the rooms were the lowest level I think. Service is accomodating. Room service slightly more organized here (compared to Montreal). My room was clearly done several times per day. I can't say that my stay is memorable or that I would efinitely stay here again (as opposed to trying the Ritz Carlton for example). But I can safely recommend it. One caveat: I picked it because of its proximity to high-end shopping this was probably a mistake. The center of the excitement is much closer to the harbor. I checked my Four Seasons Montreal review, I gave that hotel four stars, I would say the Toronto Four Seasons is objectively more grandiose and impressive, it looks more like a "five star hotel". Its housekeeping is more organized. Things just run more smoothly. But I acknowledge that the space between them of "one star" overstates their differences at Montreal's expense. read more

This Four Seasons hotel has one of the more modern feel than some other four seasons we've been to. We stayed here with parents for two nights in the summer.. Staff was friendly and responsive, concierge helped us make dinner reservation at a restaurant nearby. The room we had was on a high floor, spacious, clean, with a big bathroom and soaking tub. I'm not familiar with Toronto but I think the location in Yorkville was pretty convenient, with lots of shops and restaurant nearby, but the hotel itself didn't feel crowded at all. For two nights in a row we also grabbed drinks at the bar downstairs, they had some very friendly bartender and great cocktails. We had our dog with us, he got some doggy treat on the house. The only minor problem we had was that when we made reservation here, they told us dog stays free. Upon checking out, they charged us $100 or $150 cleaning fee and told us "dogs do stay free, but there's non-refundable cleaning fee". We were confused - if there were a fee, how would that qualify as "free"? Not that matters in the bigger picture since we still liked this hotel a lot, but someone needs to make sure this type of miscommunication doesn't happen. Fantastic holiday event in the Aria Ballroom service was excellent and food very tasty. My main was the salmon with pumpkin purée. If I weren't in such a classy setting I would have licked my plate. This is the nicest Four Seasons I've stayed at! Everything is brand new, and the Le Labo products are such a nice touch. I had several big boxes delivered to me, and the bellmen were always so friendly. I worked with Shannon Fleming to get a great rate for a room block. Everyone was really pleased with their rooms, and a few got upgraded! I totally recommend reaching out to her if you have an event. Our group ate at both d bar and Boulud. d bar is a scene! The fries and snacks were amazing. Our dinner at Boulud was so memorable. The menu has a ton of variety, so there's something for everyone. I hope there's another excuse for me to visit this hotel again soon! read more

This hotel is one of the nicest Four Seasons I have ever visited! I used to travel to Toronto quite a bit for work and I always chose to stay here for my week long stays in the city. The service at this hotel is impeccable as the staff is highly attentive to the needs of the guest and extremely warm and welcoming. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome whether it is spontaneously delivering warm chocolate chip cookies to your door or bringing you that extra bath robe you requested just ten minutes prior. The hotel is in a perfect location as it is centrally located in Toronto so that accessing any part of the city is quite easy. Finally, the food and spa at this hotel are both quite remarkable. The breakfast here is one of the absolute best I have had to date and the spa is the place to go for ultimate relaxation. I have received several massages at the spa and they're some of the best I have had, ever. If you're visiting Toronto then you definitely need to consider staying here as there is not one thing wrong with this hotel. It is absolutely perfect as is! read more

I just came back from a recent trip to Toronto and I had a very pleasant stay at the Four Seasons. From start to finish, everything was professional. The overall aesthetic of the hotel screams luxe. The staff is very professional and accommodating when it comes to satisfying the guests needs. I had the pleasure of dining at Café Boulud and the food was everything you can imagine, especially since it bears the name of French chef Daniel Boulud (which I might add, I've dined at his New York locations as well). The sommelier was very helpful in selecting wine for dinner. Along with Café Boulud, the cocktail lounge by the reception, D Bar, was a wonderful little place to relax, unwind, and have a few cocktails. I liked that they have a nice selection of craft cocktails, charcuterie, small plates. Before I left, I was able to book an appointment at the spa. The appointment I booked was for an hour long aromatherapy massage. After getting off the elevator on 19th floor (where the spa is located), I was greeted with champagne by an attendant waiting in front of the elevator and escorted to the reception room. At the very entrance of the reception room I was given slippers as another attendant, took my coat, shopping bag, handbag, and shoes and showed me to the refreshment station. My friend and I stayed here for a night and it was a great experience. I downloaded their app when I made the booking and I requested an early checkin through it. They said that there's to guarantee for it since it depends on availability but when one was available, I got a notification on the app that the room was ready. That was really convenient. During my stay, I booked a spa treatment and I was surprised that there was something available right away since I did not book ahead of time. The neck and back massage was $140 plus tax and it comes with access to steam rooms and lockers and some refreshments. They give you a insurance receipt on request and it's definitely worth it (with the insurance receipt). Breakfast was also pretty good. We ordered it through room service and service charge, delivery charge and gratuity was included in it. But if you want to not pay for the delivery and all that, you can head down to Cafe Boulad and have your breakfast there. Overall, it was a great experience! read more

In fashionable Yorkville, which just happens to be my favorite area of Toronto. I've stayed at a few Four Seasons and this is the one I like the best. Didn't eat here so I can't speak to the restaurant quality. Sure it's five star and pricey. Specializing in pampering, this FS has a two story 'state of the art' spa. Opened in 2012, this fairly new hotel is 55 stories. We were only in the room at night because during the day there is so much to do in Toronto with lots of shopping, night life and eateries. There's even a penthouse on top which is privately owned! Concierge was very helpful and all the staff is so friendly. Our room had a separate suite attached (for the kids to sleep). Very family oriented if need be, best part was the delicious cookies the Bellhop delivers for the kids and milk, too. They even have little kids' spa robes and bath necessities. We used their babysitting service as well. No complaints. read more

Five stars hotel deserves a five stars review. All their staffs are professional, everyone remember our names and greeting us by it. They remembered the reason why we were here and ask if there is anything they can help to make our travel easier. The gentleman in the front desk, Max, is the best. He not once but twice prepared a little gift for my 13 months old daughter (check in and check out). Made my girl happy for rest of the day. The room service can be ordered by the mini iPad in the room. But it will be faster if you call the front desk. The breakfast came with cart table along with small decor and WMF utensils. The food was okay, not astonishing but descent. Since we are traveling with infants. They had a baby crib and welcome gift for us, a stuff animal and bath/clean kits. Very thoughtful. read more

We stayed here on an arctic-vortex-infused staycation weekend during the slow season. That's why I was so surprised when we were up-sold to a larger suite and the staff all but vanished. During slow season, I kind of expect the staff to stick around and show me around a little, especially when it's my first stay (see earlier reviews on Hazelton and Trump). Suite finishes are decidedly minimalistic with a nod to 70s shades of green. Some of the furniture was looking worn in places, which seems surprising, considering how recently they renovated. Bathroom decor is the highlight here - very clean and light with a TV in the mirror so your bath and show/game never need be mutually exclusive. The shower had very low water pressure but everything was pretty clean. Good points: the gym here is awesome and mostly empty and the yoga studio is cute with a nice view. The pool area was the busiest part of the hotel - not really relaxing but it looked like fun for the people there. I mentioned some of these observations to staff at checkout and they followed up with a partial refund, which was pretty nice of them. If you make a complaint here, it's unlikely to remain ignored. Lesson learned: Hazelton and Trump have raised the bar of my expectations for luxury hotels in Toronto. FS isn't shabby, but I'd think twice before re-booking. read more

I love the Four Seasons. While I've only stayed here once, I attend conferences on the 3rd floor regularly. This is by far my favourite conference venue. In fact, I've also hosted an here a couple years back. The food never disappoints and the customer service is top-notch. read more

I was only here for one night and have found myself at several Four Seasons locations over the past several years and this one seems to fit well into the other experiences that I have had. Spacious rooms, great service, comfortable and quiet. Interesting to see an iPad in the room to be able to order room service off of -- not sure if it did anything else or how well it worked as I did not use it but it was the first time I ever saw such a feature. I think they would be better off turning such things into an app that betters your personal experience and control rather than having the need to put tech directly into the rooms. The downside I would note to my stay would be on two points: Free WiFi with my room number and last name for TWO devices. TWO? Why hotels are placing such limits on throttled bandwidth to begin with I am not sure. Second, outlets? Has anyone understood in hotels that it would be nice to plug in a phone (or whatever) to recharge without it being across the room or in the bathroom. No, I know there are not going to rewire the place but they COULD put in lamps with bedside outlets. read more

Four Seasons is exceptional. The door men are helpful, kind and responsive. The desk is beyond exceptional. Kind, courteous and helpful beyond compare. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and well cleaned. I would stay here over and over, as Yorkville is a beautiful area, on the verge of becoming the best part of Toronto in my humble opinion. It is mega close to all the shopping options you could think of, Gucci, Prada, Hermes, Winners (for you bargain shoppers). The hotel is also nestled in a gorgeous small "Villa" style area of short story condominiums with amazing restaurants to eat at. --- Overall --- Highly recommend this if you have the budget. read more

This hotel certainly lives up to its reputation. From the friendly staff to its many amenities, The Four Seasons provides a comfortable stay from start to finish. The room was immaculate and boasted an impressive bathroom, sitting area and exceptionally comfortable bed. The bathroom has a television built into the mirror, which I used while getting ready. Each room is equipped with an iPad that can be used for using any of the services available at the hotel -- from room service to booking spa appointments. While this is one of the more expensive options in the city, The Four Seasons is an exceptional hotel with a location very close to the finest shopping Toronto has to offer. Having stayed at this particular location of the Four Seasons a couple of times, it is easy to say that it feels like one of the most modern, up-to-date locations of the hotel and is absolutely pleasant to stay at. It's a little bit north of the core downtown area in Toronto, giving it a slightly more laid-back feel. There's a driveway one can park in to enter the hotel, and you're immediately greeted with a cosmopolitan, classy lobby with high ceilings and modern, refined decor. The folks at the front desk are great - I can't recall the last time I checked in and it took me less than 2 minutes from start to finish - and checking out is also just as easy and quick as well. With 3 elevators that run quickly in the bank, it is fast to get upstairs to your room. The hotel gym here is also quite well-appointed, with the upshot being that all of the cardio machines (ellipticals, treadmills, etc.) rim the outer edge of the gym, where you have nice views of the city. The rooms themselves are also very well-appointed, and unlike a number of other Four Seasons properties I have been to, this one feels quite modern (or at newly-renovated). The basic room still has plenty of space, with a comfortable bed and window views looking out to the city, although if you are facing north/northeast, there are a number of other highrise apartments nearby, so you will probably be keeping the curtains closed a bit more than one may do otherwise. The bathroom is even nicer, with marble finishes, a double sink, and separate shower and bath, and the Le Labo amenities are a clear upgrade from the usual L'Occitane options that populate most of the other Four Seasons I have been to. The bed, like pretty much every other location I've been to, is just as great, with large, plush pillows and a mattress that is plush enough for folks who like it that way (me) and others who prefer it a bit more firm (like my wife). While the lobby can feel a bit glitzy at times, the rooms are done very nicely but feel more understated than overly gaudy. It's a fantastic hotel to stay at in Toronto, with excellent service by the folks at the front desk and at the valet, and it'll probably be my go-to choice for any future trips to the city as well. read more

We stayed at Four Seasons Toronto from 8/25 to 9/1, and the experiences were terrible, some concerns here to share: 1. We LOST cash in the hotel room. 1,400 out of 3,000 USD cash we brought was gone when we were to use it at the second to last day, no updates so far regarding the investigation. 2. They DO NOT change the smaller square pillow on the bed, which guests are not using, if you throw it on the sofa or floor, it will be put back on your new bed sheets. 3. Unprofessional staffs/managers, unresponsive, poor communications. We expressed our disappointments in person, they turned out gave us a extended 4pm check-out which we clearly indicated we do not need. During later on email communications, I have not heard back from them for 1 week, had to follow up and still no reply. 4. Four Seasons Hotels had been with a upscale, great customer experience brand to us until this stay at Toronto, definitely will not settle for the poor experiences compare to the higher-end price points! read more

Don't go there! Deceptions on deceptions. Slowest service ever. Very uncomfortable room and bed. Very loud neighbourhood. Customer service is more like a 2 stars motel room. Can't believe they even dare charging 650$/night for the worst hotel in town. Oh and we booked it 8 months ahead for our wedding night... and they found a way to scrap everything. Even if they gave us a half bottle of champagne to apologize, it will never compensate for ruining our wedding night forever. read more

I'm posting this on behalf of my father-in-law. We ate here with two of our grand kids, and unfortunately the experience was way below Four Seasons standards. The server forgot approximately half of the information we told her (menus, water, etc.), items on the kids menu were not offered (chicken fingers), and when I ordered a wine it was literally one ounce (seriously under-poured). The worst though was that the kids ordered chicken wings. Three wings came on a plate with no sauce at all and completely undercooked-there was blood next to the bone on the worst one and it seemed like a health hazard. So, I was going to cut them some slack because they just opened, but don't put the kids health at risk if you want me back. This was absolutely not up to Four Seasons standards. read more

This is a fantastic hotel. As a frequent traveler, I have the fortune/misfortune to visit lots of hotels in lots of cities. Certainly the Four Seasons commands and deserves a top spot on any list of great hotels. This hotel is no exception. Great location, wonderful rooms, expected high prices, superior service, and an overall wonderful place to stay. That said, in my 5 night stay, there a a couple of glaring holes. In my mind, these are simple things that management can fix with a simple policy change. Things that are not costly or detrimental to the operation of the facility, that in my opinion would have earned a 5 star review. 1) The current limit of TWO Devices being able to connect to the Free in-room internet is a joke. When I travel alone, I have a laptop, an iphone, and an ipad as a minumum. This trip I had my wife with her own iphone and ipad. No apparent ability to switch which device is active, so once we activated the first two devices, we were locked in all week. 2) When paying in excess of $1000/day for a room, is it unreasonable to expect two bottled waters EVERY day? Some days we got it, some we didn't. 3) Our wonderful suite had two bathrooms. Two showers and a tub. The great part is we got a grand total of four bath towels. Is there a shortage of available towels. Yes, we did use the second shower, which failed to consistently have even a single washcloth. Three robes were in the suite, yet only four towels. Hmm. When we return to Toronto, we will stay again. I hope management is able to make these minor adjustments, and enable us happy travelers to not be inconvenienced by such trivial things. read more
