I live in Napa and I started using Chardonnay because it is close to my home. The Cleaners I had…read morebeen using for decades is on the far side of town and depending on the time of day could sometimes take as much as half an hour to get there, so I switched to Chardonnay. That said, I have usually found them to be very good cleaners so no complaints about the quality of their work. Also, the billing system they use seems to be accurate and efficient. Also some nice discounts on select days are a bonus! I've noticed most of the reviews here are either five or one star and I find myself having to agree with many of the one star reviews. The two young ladies who work behind the counter are seldom pleasant to deal with. They almost never smile. They seldom greet a customer coming in the door. I've never heard them say thank you and they generally act as if they really are not happy being there. Employee attitude has a big effect on business. If customers feel they're being treated rudely, they will go elsewhere. I think the manager needs to be paying attention to the one star reviews because they are numerous. And maybe the young ladies need to take an online class on customer service and relations. If they were a bit kinder and more pleasant toward their customers, they would find much of that kindness returned.

Valley Cleaners does a great job. I brought a stained scarf and a very dirty (thanks to my pup)…read morewhite throw in for cleaning, not expecting much could be done. I was so pleasantly surprised when I came to pick everything up and saw that the throw looked brand new! I wound up paying about $10 more than I was quoted, but due to the excellent job they did and their friendly customer service, I didn't mind.

The other shirt had an even older stain on the cuff that I assumed no one could remove. They cleaned the second stain, but the first stain stayed. They were also a day late in having the cloths ready. The staff is very friendly and professional. I found out they send their clothes off to Fairfield to actually wash or dry clean, that's understandable, I just wish I could find a place that did the actual work on-site. Lastly, $4 per shirt is fairly expensive. Granted, it is Napa, and after COVID I am sure there are not that many dry cleaning businesses left. However, I am not that sure if it is worth coming back.
