I checked and there are lots of stores in the Chicago area but this appears to be the first in the Milwaukee area. It's a interesting concept. Everything is frozen, including meats, fish, vegetables and meals. There is a large selection of interesting, or what might be considered exotic foods. You can get cuts of Elk, Bison, and Venison. They have organ meats and oxtails. They have a large selection of shrimp, and some that are so big that you might mistake them for lobster. For many of the items, there are plenty of choices. For example there is not just one salmon or shrimp selection. They have at least 12 different types to choose from. For different locations, different types, different, and different types of production standards (organic, non-gmo, pasture raised, etc) The store is well organized. All of the standing freezers or wall units are neatly packed and well labeled. Pricing is easy to discern. It's easy to shop and find what you are looking for. I found the help to all be helpful, and friendly. The staff at the registers were patient, and chatty. I bought a couple of items, and looking forward to cooking up the pasture raised chicken (breasts) and the Gulf Coast shrimp. This is not my side of town, so it's a little out of my way. However, they explained that for $29 you can get a year of free deliveries. That's a great deal!

The food was all great. I appreciate that the sandwiches are hefty and they don't skimp on anything. Like the lemon pound cake I had last time, the apple crumble was amazing. We did and within less than 10 minutes we were served our fresh side salads. The wait staff was attentive and genuinely interested that we had everything we needed.Our pizza came out in just about the right time. The Johnsonville Marketplace does indeed have frozen sausages for sale. We walked away with a Bobs frozen pizza that had simple ingredients and turned out to taste pretty good, although it had a lot of cheese, and some Italian sausage for future homemade pizza or pasta. There is some playground equipment outside, and a large path leading to the store, which I suspect someone may have mistaken for a driveway before, since there was a sign clarifying that it was not, indeed, a driveway. There's a sausage outside you can pose with if you'd like, and a large Adirondack chair. If you're nearby and like sausage, Wisconsin products, or Johnsonville, it's worth a stop.

It could be because they are made fresh, or perhaps it's their special spice blends. Whatever the reason, they have all been delicious. Their selection changes from time to time, so it's a good idea to stop in whenever you're in the mood for some of the best sausage you'll find in southeastern Wisconsin. While there is a parking lot for the building, the spots were full, but we found street parking nearby.
