Been to the locations in Tosa and the one located inside the market, but this was my first time at the Brookfield location. First impressions are everything. The set-up of this location is aesthetically pleasing. Clean, fresh, good spacing and just has an overall good feel. Our collection of oils include butter (for the family vegan) and walnut. I'm a HUGE fan of the white and black truffles oils as well as the truffle salts - seriously the only way to eat baked potatoes- delish! For vinegars we have strawberry for salads, maple for squash and cinnamon pear for ice cream. But the reason for this visit and honestly most visits, is the 18 year old. Like the 18 year old character Jacob Black in the Twilight series, this 18 year old is attractive, dark, bold, edgy, intense and has a slight bite. Pairs nicely with olive oil on salads and as a bread dipper. The staff is knowledgeable and make sure you get a punch card because you are sure to be back. Finally, be sure to check out Groupon there is usually a deal.

I feel like I've been sleeping on this little gem!…read more I found this place in a roundabout way, and was in love the moment I walked in. They have created a warm inviting space, that has cute dishes for serving your snackuterie treats and cheeses, cases of cheeses you love and have never heard of, and all the sides to go with it. They have a fabulous collection of dry goods like chips, crackers, honeys, ect to pair with your cheeses. They also have a cooler of beverages to pair along with your favorites. They had a great selection of local brands, and national, with so, so many options. The owner was on site and was incredibly knowledgeable, and gave me some great recommendations. The smoked cheddar, truffled goat cheese and creama kasa cheeses are new favorites in our house! I will absolutely be going back to this stellar place.

Highly recommend The Charcuterie House for all your charcuterie needs. Downtown Waukesha is where it's located. Love the vibe they have created! Warm and cozy.

The…read moremoment you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of spices, and it's hard not to spend a little extra time browsing. They have such a great selection that it almost feels like a candy store for anyone who loves to cook. The two ladies working were incredibly helpful and took the time to explain the differences between the two saffron varieties they carried. They had a Spanish saffron and a newer Afghan saffron that the owner had recently brought into the store. They described the Spanish saffron as having a sweeter, more floral flavor with a lighter aroma, while the Afghan saffron was bolder, earthier, and much more aromatic. I was specifically looking for saffron to make tea as part of my overall wellness routine, and after talking through what I was hoping for, we decided the Afghan saffron was the better fit. I've been really enjoying it. You only need about four to seven strands steeped in hot water, and it slowly turns the tea into a beautiful golden yellow color. The flavor is subtle and smooth without being overwhelming, making it a relaxing drink to sip in the evening. What stood out most wasn't just the quality of the products, but the customer service. They genuinely took the time to answer my questions, share their own opinions, and help me choose what fit my needs instead of simply pointing to me toward a shelf. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their spices. If you've never been to Penzeys before, it's absolutely worth stopping in. Even if you only need one ingredient, you'll probably leave with a few new ideas and a little more knowledge than when you walked in.

I sometimes buy their gift boxes for family because I want them to love Penzys spices too! Prices are reasonable and the quality is impeccable. The potency lasts much longer than any store brand or the famous red-capped spice company. Additionally, Penzys has many whole spices which last even longer as I can grind up only what I need. They also sell jars for storing spices, cookbooks, etc. I've been to other locations, but the 74th St location is my closest shop. I can't even remember when they moved in but it's always been well maintained and well stocked. Herbs and spices up front, baking goodies in the back. I love the little kitchen nook that baking items are displayed on, reminds me of my grandmas kitchen. They are staffed by friendly and helpful employees who love cooking and baking as much as everyone else. Don't hesitate to ask questions or for suggestions. Penzys also has sales a couple of times per year. Sometimes it's free items with a specific purchase amount, sometimes a discount.

My Pastor had the chicken parmagon, my wife got the stuff shells. Those meals were good, we also order some stuffed mushrooms and calamari, those appetizers were very good. My meal was just ok. I ordered the ribeye steak and it was very mediocre. It cut and tasted like a glorified sirloin steak. It had a tone of connective tendons on the meat, it was not seasoned. Maggiano's needs to consider a better quality of steak. If I had anything to compare it to it would be the ribeye steak at Carrabba's, which is a whole lot better. The garlic potatoes were stiff and cold, the grilled asparagus were pretty good the highlight of this meal was the desserts, our Pastor got the butter cake, I got the cheese cake and my wife got the tiramisu, all 3 were really good. Our appetizers included the focaccia which was buttery & warm with the perfect amount of flavor, the goat cheese crostone with a great crunch & loved the honey, the deviled eggs were amazing & the insalata with tomatoes & peaches were so fresh that you could tell it was sourced locally. For our main meal, we decided to try four different pastas & they were all incredible in their own way. The fresh pasta was so well made & the flavors were mouthwatering.
